It is quite long but worth reading. Before anyone would say that I am spoiling someone business, I want you all to know that i am more Midas than any of their customers or staffs as Midas shipping US address is in my business receipt that i issue to my customers. I can’t remember how many people i have recommended to use Midas service and how many times i have defended Midas online. Just to make my point clear, I gave Midas shipping 2-3 of my card details to always deduct their shipment charges whenever I have shipment with them. They have also done well in returning item not as described to my suppliers but their bad side supersedes their good side. I hate to be the carrier of this news but it has to be told. I got to know about Midas shipping in 2013 when I needed to change the air freight company i was using to a new one, I never knew Midas had a presence on nairaland until someone mentioned their name and how he lost a lot of stuff using Midas shipping. I didn’t take what the guy said seriously as my only bad experience with them at that moment was delay in shipment as it takes them close to a month to deliver even after stating it takes 7-10days. I had met a lot of their customers complaining about missing items; from the guys who were asking how such issue should be handled, to a guy who narrated how they stole everything that her sister sent from US, to a banker who suggested that I should change my card details and avoid giving such vital information to a company like Midas who steals from their customers and so on. After reading it all online, I assumed their complaint is just for a selected few but all the same I made sure I never gave them another card details immediately the previous cards expired. My first ordeal with Midas started with custom poking my package box filled with fragile items simply because Midas did not label the box accordingly, a lot of stuffs in the box were damaged as a result of that poke and Midas never paid for any as i took the loss alone. Fast forward to another day in 2016, my box was poked again and a phone was removed from there but Midas denied the responsibility, even though I had seen one of their staffs always dipping his hands inside any customer’s box each time there is a poke. Well, after all the back to front mail, Midas refunded only $50 for that lost item while I bored the remaining loss. My series ordeal of missing items at their US office started right after my first ordeal from their Lagos office, it was as if they were working with their Lagos counterpart to perfect their plan. Each time I complain of a missing item, Midas would have an excuse to give either they claim the suppliers never shipped or it was not completely shipped. They have never for once accepted responsibilities. Sometimes they would receive 5 phones and they would mark it as 1 phone and when you question them, they would claim it was only one phone they saw and besides your seller never included the packing slip for them to check if they tally; that would be their response. There was a time, 13 phones were not recorded on Midas packing list as items received, I contacted Midas regarding that and they claimed that they never received such but when i finally received my package from Midas Lagos office, 12 phones out of the 13 missing phones Midas claimed was never received were found inside my box which I made known to them. I informed them that it is only one phone that is missing which they should provide but Midas never did a thing and i took the loss. There was another time I mentioned on nairaland about a freight company i used that claimed they received a charger instead of a phone purchased and delivered; that company is Midas shipping. When Midas have the intention of stealing but sees that a package was delivered with signature confirmation, they can remove the expensive package and replace it with anything to claim that was what they received and there is nothing you can do. I have also seen another item belonging to another customer in my box which I called the attention of Midas shipping on it and they came to my place to pick it up. Kindly note that I have suggested to Midas to always contact every of their customers whose name appears on a manifest number that has a reported case of missing item in case it was mistakenly added to another person’s package as nobody is above mistake but they refused. I started suspecting Midas shipping the day they stole a phone from one of my special suppliers who always add free phones to items purchased from him. The seller got annoyed and sent 3 phones instead of 1 missing phone, just to show that he will never cheat me. I nearly lost a wonderful supplier like him because of Midas and my other online purchasing account have been given series of warning all because of Midas stealing attitude. Kindly note that i have been believing Midas lies until a phone got missing from the items sent by my special supplier. Now, the real gist that made me decided to bring this out!! A package containing 23 phones was delivered to Midas shipping US address on 14th November, 2017 with Fedex signature confirmatory tracking number, but Midas shipping recorded 21 phones against 23 phones as what they received, even when the seller included the packing slip in the package showing all the 23 phones as delivered. Midas usually send all the necessary documents together to my email once they are done with the consolidation without making any request from them but reverse was the case on this, as I had to beg for those documents to be sent before only the payment invoice was sent to my email. It was until i sent another mail that Midas packing list was sent in an inverted manner excluding the seller’s packing slip. All these their attitude gave me cause to worry that things are not right and on checking their slip, I noticed that 21 phones were recorded against 23 phones. Kindly note that i had suggested severally to Midas shipping since I started experiencing item loss with them, to always check any of my delivered item immediately to know the content and the quantity of each item delivered so that when they are sending an update of the tracking number to me, they would as well send the details of item received at once but they refused. Instead they said that I should ask the sellers to always include the packing slip in the shipment in order for Midas shipping to check if what is delivered tallies with what is received. The payment invoice and Midas packing slip sent to my email on 28th November, 2017 did not include the seller’s packing slip which was later found in my package box after I had received my package from Midas shipping Lagos office on 21st December, 2017. Probably, whoever removed the 2 iPhone 7plus 128GB did not know that the seller’s packing slip fell inside the box while consolidating as the person’s intention was to cover his traces by removing the seller’s packing slip but unfortunately faith was against him this time. Also note that Midas shipping informed me about the package availability for pick up on 20th December, 2017. Despite seeing all the evidence showing that the items were completely delivered to Midas shipping office, I still went ahead to contact the seller but the seller showed me more shocking evidence that the items were delivered to Midas shipping office. However, I made a contact to Midas shipping on 21st December, 2017 to explain what happened but one of their staffs who responded to my mail was been defensive instead of carrying out an investigation on the matter, that really got me suspicious if she has a clue of what happened to the missing items. The next mail I sent to know the status of the missing items, I got a response that the lady has resigned. I went ahead to send a mail to another of their staff who said they would review their CCTV footage and get back to me with the outcome but surprisingly on contacting her again to know the outcome of the CCTV, she said the complaint has been transferred to another staff to handle. On contacting the said staff, he sounded more like someone that just returned from the moon and after which, he requested for the purchased receipts of the missing items and it was sent to him. After some days of no response from him, I decided to mail him to find out the status of the complaint but he said the complaint has been transferred to their Admin; imagine the dribbling. The next response I got from their admin the following day was as below, nothing was said about the outcome of the CCTV footage, probably they were ashamed of the CCTV footage outcome hence their reason for deviating. **We have reviewed the whole issue around your claim that you were missing two phones and concluded that it will be better for you to lodge a complaint to your seller. Based on the attached email your were sent, Midas packing slip was sent as requested by you in which it was written there that we counted only 21 phones and you never raised any issue about the phone not been complete until you received your package a month later. In view of this Midas cannot and will not accept responsibility for the phones you claimed was missing. We thank you for your business and hope you will understand where we were coming from. ** Also note that Midas's anger was that I found the seller’s packing list inside my box, which implicates them as they wanted me to have pointed it on the 28th November, 2017 when they sent only their slip to me. If I had pointed it out to them, they would have done a thorough search on my package where they would see that packing list and remove it, as they always do to make sure nothing implicates them before claiming that supplier never attached the slip. How can Midas claim they received only 21 phones when 22 chargers were found in the package? Their staff who committed the theft removed 2 phones and one charger. Please can everyone review this and tell me if Midas is the culprit here or the seller? Thank you. Rs321, you said I am making noise for voicing out what your company has been doing to their customer’s goods, please come and defend yourself online pending when your company is called to defend themselves off line. I have also copied some of your existing and prospective customers to quote me wrong if what I said here is not true. Guys, please come and know how your item disappears from Midas office. bsaying: Give it a try, no harm in trying. Some people do cancel their application and when they do, those dates would be available. I don't know anyone moving through Israel as am not interested in that route. Those who used it last year were very secretive in telling others. I even said I won't reply anyone here this year because some people are plain wicked, they would only view to gather information and add to theirs but they would never reply you if you ask a question they know the answer. It later became all man for him/herself last year. So my dear, I am sorry but I won't reply you again. Follow any route you like and want. Hope you understand. 2 Likes |

bsaying: The cheapest is Egypt and in considering Estonia student is Turkey. I would suggest you try Egypt first but register your application with Turkey to get appointment date in case there is Bleep up from Egypt then you can try Turkey. Egypt does not collect money from you unless they are giving you visa so you can see your money remains with you. All in all, anyone you want to try, please do it on time in case Bleep up dey, you go find another square root on time . 1 Like |

bsaying: http://abuja.emb.mfa.gov.tr/Mission if it displays Arabic, just change it to English then select Nigeria then Abuja and proceed with your application. As for Egypt may be the medical is their new request but if you have someone in Abuja, you can always tell the person to go to their embassy and check their notice board for you. They only accept what is written on their notice board. Below is the picture I took the last time I went there, nothing like medical even though I vex submit my travel insurance meant for schegen country to them.

I hope he replies, those people are nothing but crooks that is why many people don't use their service. Imagine where you would be charged when you are sending something from Nigeria to outside Nigeria, they would pull a calculator and start manipulating figures of already made list of fees to be paid against a specific item weight. This is why Nigeria would never move forward, both the Nipost/Ems and custom employs uneducated crooks which is why they always steal and mess up the system. I have once witness how they do their calculations, they don't look at the actual cost of items you stated on the receipt when they calculate, rather they ask among themselves the cost of that item in the market and once anyone quotes it, they will use that to calculate. They probably concluded is a human hair that you sent and one of their own quoted that human hair cost 100k hence the reason you saw that 100k. Duties are paid per manifest number and something like 50k for a specific weight, I can't fully remember all the calculation stuffs but all I can say is that all the bodies you mentioned there are nothing but crooks. I only use Nipost to send out of Nigeria and not to send in. CC Lalasticlala front page things. |

bsaying: What you attached is for Turkish not Egypt. If you are going to Turkish embassy, please let them know you are going to Estonia embassy for study visa. You are to fill tourist then transit and single entry. If you are transiting, I don't think you need that medical buhaha. My number is on signature, you can send whatsapp. If you are going to Egypt, please don't tell them about Estonia otherwise nothing for you. |

yoyolagos: That guy should not make the mistake of going there as a student otherwise nothing for him. They made it clear that the route has been abused therefore no visa for anyone traveling to Estonia or in transit to another country because they would politely tell him/her to check another embassy. As for Turkey, as at first week of February, the appointment date was on 31st July. May be it has gotten to August or September so go and book ahead now. |
