Governor Rochas Okorocha shuts down Imo state University, directs students to his private University, Eastern Palm University Ogboko Ideato South local government area

In response to the expectations of ASUU (IMSU CHAPTER)for the Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha, to pay up their three months salary arrears today being Friday 22,April 2016, the Governor has said that students of Imo State University are welcome to continue their education in their different Departments and at their different levels in his Eastern Palm University at Ogboko.

In his own words
"My government can not be toyed with by any Union. Since ASUU has refused to see reasons with the government to do the needful, then they shouldn't expect the government to dance to their own tune.

ASUU lacks understanding. I'm not unaware that this strike action is a strategy to ruin my free education policy. My Dear children of Imo State University, please move your things to Eastern Palm University Ogboko, it is large enough to accommodate all of you. Remember, ASUU is the one turning a stumbling stone to your education not me."

. The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II has called on the 19 Northern state governors to do everything possible to ensure that the lost glory of the New Nigerian Development Company (NNDC) is restored.

He made the call when a delegation of NNDC’s Board of Directors, led by the Wali of Dutse, Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu, paid him a courtesy visit at his Palace in Kano on Monday.

The Emir said that the call was necessary in order to promote socio-economic development in the region in particular and the country at large.

According to him, restoring the company’s past glory will facilitate the socio-economic development of the Northern region and Nigeria as a whole.

He emphasized that the task of making the company vibrant and formidable cannot be realised without the collective effort of the governors.

The Chairman of the NNDC Board of Directors, had earlier in his remarks, said that the delegation was at the Emir’s palace to brief him on the activities of the company and to seek for his fatherly advice on how to move the company forward.

He commended the emir for his consistent support and advice to the management of the company.

This particular incident has once again brought to the fore the wickedness, extra judicial killings and the impunity with which SARS officials go about their work... Those people don't value human life, I also blame the management of uniport for inviting SARS to control an unarmed protest when the police are there.

I wonder what happened to tear gas and canisters but let's see how this goes but I doubt if any head will roll and as a matter of fact I see the killer cop walking away free... Of course this is Nigeria

I could joke with the police but not with the sars!
I can never do that!

They took a Big risk protesting .. when the sars men where involved

seems you and i are in the same position ... bought mine and after 24hours at the dot it got disapproved .... am thinking we bought it from the same person
