They didn't just arrive at that figure. But why not wait till the it commences before the price hike, be like they get their own for body too |
Nairaland General › Re: To All Men Between 30-40, Name One Mistake You Have Made In Your Life . by Maxxim: 2:58am On Dec 27, 2024 |
I'm in my late 20's, and here's what I've discovered:
If you're from Nigeria, there's no bad hustle except killing and kidnapping fellow humans. Do whatever it takes to escape poverty, but if it's illegitimate, plan to leave early after you've planned well.
Develop essential skills, and if possible, learn a handwork at a young age.
Work on your communication skills.
If you're born into poverty and you've never tasted a good life, marrying at a survival level is bad for you, and you might never recover from generational poverty.
There's no honesty when it comes to deals between two people—there'll always be a wise person and a foolish one at the end of the day, which one are you.
Stick to logical reasoning instead of emotions; it will pay off in the long run.
Never buy into the short-term game. Always focus on the long-term.
Your reputation is your life. Secure it in whatever way you can.
Religion is different from spirituality. Most Africans are born into religions where men and organizations act as intermediaries between you and God. But God is there, and you can develop a personal relationship with Him. Never invest your time into religion unless there's a personal interest involved. |

Politics › Re: Sachet Alcoholic Beverages Flood Lagos Markets Despite Ban by Maxxim: 4:54pm On Dec 15, 2024 |
ItisWell22: That sh*t has no good to it.
The ban should be effected faster, please. I cringe on how this satchet stuff now allows people take alcohol in broad daylight, under hot scotching sun. Some even use it as breakfast, before water goes into the stomach.
Our already ailing health system does not have the capacity to cater for too many kidney and liver failure patients; neither can majority of the consumers of such even afford the most basic series of investigations.
The ban is welcome. What do you know |

Syrians military are just some lazy azz soldiers, same way Lebanon military are no where to be found during Israel assault at their border and only Hezbollah had to face the IDF. I believe common ragtag bandits here in naija are better than they are. So does he expect Russia to defend those who are not ready to defend themselves. |

Sheriman: Reason for this is that a lot of Nigerian developers are majorly facing some barrier that is hinder them from productivity and development in their tech career which are: Power shortage. Bad network Expensive data Financial handicap. Lack of motivation to push on Developers in Nigeria who are experiencing these problems can not compete against their global counterpart Absolutely true, even someone like me that has their way around this has to guard my primary source of income cause outside is hard as hell thereby reducing the time used to code |

pansophist: If your destination from Lagos is Abuja, will you rather go there by flight or by bicycle instead? That's the difference between dating a rich and a broke guy from a female perspective.
But it's important to know that being rich is not the issue, but a giver. Some rich people are very stingy. Their riches won't tickle down. She will only have the title of being with a rich dude. One of the best analogies about this topic. I will never be poor |

The saddest truth is realizing that hard work alone isn't enough. One question I ask when recommending a trade or career, whether to myself or someone else, is: "What is the most that the most skillful and talented person in this field has ever made or achieved?" Then I restructure my plans accordingly.
Hustling without growth in any career is even worse, you'll just end up frustrated. I hope the Op can retrace their steps and make things right this time. In my opinion, you'll have to sacrifice more years to learn a skill and be smart about it. Start saving, and maybe distance yourself from your family if necessary. I truly hope things work out for you. |
