I know that and don't think there's really anything like Christian word. Christianity is practiced by humans not aliens that may use non human language to communicate.

I am concerned with the meaning of the word, sin, a human language, in Christianity where the word is currently and mostly used .
I said I will be back. Be patient
The Old Testament talks about “cheta” which translates to sin in ENGLISH LANGUAGE , and the greek equivalent is “harmatia” which translates to sin in ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
Old Testament was written in Hebrew.
New Testament was written in Greek.

Listen, “Sin” is an English word, the latins, french, greek or Hebrew people that are Christians won’t call it “sin”.
“Sin” is the English translation of Greek “harmatia” in the Christian theology.
This is basic.

I replied to your mention, I’m chilled, don’t fret, you are trying too hard!
I overestimated you, I didn’t know you were this basic, I’ll come down to your level now.

We don't know when he was born but we know he started his ministry in the reign of those four kings which is 740-701BC although they were three writers of Isaiah who were Isaiah himself king Hezekiah or a second prophet whose name we don't know and a third prophet who we also know nothing about (this two prophets may also be the same person) wrote the book let me explain

According to tradition first appearing in the Talmud, a compendium of Jewish law redacted in Babylonia at about 500 CE (Bava Batra 14b-15a), the Book of Isaiah was written by King Hezekiah, who reigned from 715 to 686 BCE, and his aides.

How the Jewish sages came to this conclusion is clear. The first verse of the book says that the prophet prophesied during the reigns of four Judean monarchs, the last of whom was Hezekiah. It would make sense that it was the king and his scribes who put together the compilation of Isaiah's prophecies after his death.

It would also make sense for a royal archive, if one existed in First Temple Jerusalem, would likely have contained records of prophecies. The royal archives of the Semitic city-state of Mari (in today's Syria) held records of prophecies 1000 years before Hezekiah. The royal archives of the Neo-Assyrian capital Nineveh held records of prophecies too, some written just a few decades after Isaiah's time. Keeping records of prophecies in royal archives may have been the norm or because some chapters were written in another language and made no mention of Isaiah They had to have been written by someone living after the destruction of Jerusalem in 586 BCE. The original Isaiah lived more than a century earlier, so could not have said “Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord's hand double for all her sins” (40:2.)

These chapters had to have been written by some other prophet living in the context of the Babylonian Exile. Since we do not know his name, scholars refer to him (or, less likely, her) as Second Isaiah or Deutero-Isaiah.

The prophesies in the last 10 chapters of the book (56-66) seem to have been written by yet a third prophet, who lived after the Babylonian Exile, during the early Second Temple period (probably the fifth century BCE). “Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people“ (56:7), - this for example would not have been written by a prophet living in a time that the Temple lay waste.Scholars call this prophet Third Isaiah or Trito-Isaiah, though some think the language of Second and Third Isaiah are so similar that they may have been the same person writing before and after the return to Jerusalem.

Let me find the YouTube video I will post the link

But in the meantime does the word, sin, mean a failure in Christianity?. Yes or no

The op is concerned with sin as Christians understand it and not any other

It appears to mean you're running away from something.

I will be back to point this out
“Sin” is not a Christian word.
The New Testament created by earlier Christian was written in greek, and harmatia was used to replace hebrew cheta.

Stop assuming and start being factual.

Ok if you are talking about Isaiah then this is what I know

Isaiah (the son of Amoz) is the author of the book of Isaiah. His name means “the Lord is salvation,” and this idea is reflected in his writings. Isaiah served as a prophet in Jerusalem for about 40 years (approximately 740–701 B.C.), during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, and Manasseh of the Southern Kingdom of Judah. Isaiah was married and had at least two sons (see Isaiah 7:3; 8:1–3). “Tradition states that he was ‘sawn asunder’ during the reign of Manasseh” (Bible Dictionary, “Isaiah”).

When and where was it written?
The book of Isaiah was written sometime during the ministry of Isaiah (approximately 740–701 B.C.). Since Isaiah’s ministry was centered in Jerusalem, this is the most likely location of the book’s origin.

What are some distinctive features of this book?
“Isaiah is the most quoted of all the prophets, being more frequently quoted by Jesus, Paul, Peter, and John (in his Revelation) than any other Old Testament prophet. Likewise the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants quote from Isaiah more than from any other prophet” (Bible Dictionary, “Isaiah”).

Isaiah prophecies the coming of Jesus the messiah and In one of the most amazing prophecies of the Bible, the Lord revealed Cyrus’s decree to free the Jews to Isaiah. One hundred fifty years before Cyrus lived, the prophet calls him by name and gives details of Cyrus’ benevolence to the Jews: “This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him . . . ‘I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me’” (Isaiah 45:1, 4; see also 41:2-25; 42smiley

Are you happy now.
Send me links to all these claims.
Lol, You said Isaiah lived 740-701 BC, and he started writing 740-701BC?

So who are those currently involved in studying harmatiology?

Harmatiology is the study of harmatia.
Harmatiology is the study of sin.

Is harmatia a Christian theology ? If it's, how? Explain

I am not a Christian, but understand this better than you through past association with the rellgion. You have an outsider perspective of the whole thing.

What's correctly understood by those who use it in Christianity, is that hamartiology is part of church theology, while harmatia is just the concept of sin that is connected to it.

You're discussing what you don't fully understand. Those Google research and screenshots are not helping you.
Ooh man.
Is “sin” a Christian theology?
What’s sin in Hebrew? What’s sin in greek?
“Sin” is not a Hebrew or greek word.
The bible was written in greek and hebrew.

Harmatia is not concept of sin, Harmatia literally means SIN in Christian theology.
Harmatiaology is the study of SIN(harmatia)
.

I don’t know why you are finding it hard to understand that harmatiaology is the study of harmatia lol.

You are the one trying so hard to understand a simple term. Stop assuming and be factual.

Christianity was created by the Romans, however, it wasn't necessarily created in Rome.

I know that sounds a tad contradictory, but it isn't.

Christianity was created under the auspices of the Eastern part of the Roman Empire, more commonly known as Byzantine.

According to Roman history, there was two parts of the Roman empire, the Western and Eastern, this came about due to what is commonly known amongst the foreign extremist ideologies as 'the schism'.
I meant, nicene Christianity was created in rome.
What you are talking about is “chrestianity”.

The “great schism” is the separation of the Roman Catholic from Protestant.

What is harmatia as it's understood within the church? Your answer please
You are yet to understand, because the picture is not even talking about the etymology of “harmatia” but HOW IT IS BEEN USED IN THE CHURCH.

Christianity was created years after jesus had died. As you see harmatia was used to replace “chata” in Hebrew.

Not really, hamartia is a Greco-roman doctrine that was adopted by the foreign extremist ideologies.

The reason hamartia is used is due to the fact that it implores the bearer to feel guilty, and guilt is needed so as to pitch salvation.

Even you can't deny the prophecies in the bible
Isaiah prophecies about Cyrus hundred of years before he was born even calling his name Jesus saw the destruction of Jerusalem let say seven decades before it happened
Many bible prophecies about how people of this age will be very knowledgeable how transportation will be easy the bible is very very accurate it's also the word of God even Mohammed acknowledge that the bible is accurate he called it the word of God.

That is to say, you cannot invoke a false narrative as your source, whilst at the same time relinquish your responsibility for answering to the authenticity of such source.
