Texas A&M University Kingsville does not have a Masters in Petroleum Engineering program. I graduated from here. They have Natural Gas Engineering/ Chemical Engineering or maybe Petrophysics

Maybe saying that you are going for an MSC in Pet Eng when they can clearly see the sch doesn't offer it might be the problem.

It's a 2017 could even be '16. The year on the belt mks no difference; infact it shows that the belt might hv been changed. Show us the date on the door panel. Moreover 2018 has a different shape, & the interior is different.

Don't come argue without googling this.. modify your post.

Please someone help me on this information., i learnt that police now check people immigrant status in the US and that if you are stop by police and ur status is not legally Right then you will be jailed and the deported immediately..

It's not a new thing. I know of a cbp checkpoint at Sarita, about 70miles from Corpus Christi TX. They usually (not always) check your papers. I have passed through there severally w/o being questioned. They are there bcoz the Mexico border is about 2hrs away & they try to stop illegals that have managed to get into the US from Mexico. It shouldn't bother you if you are legal. If not stay away from border towns as there would be cbp checkpoints a few miles from the border towns.

Shop at discount stores, warehouse clubs and outlet stores

I could probably write a whole thread on getting stuff at highly discounted prices in stores. Coming from Nigeria where I learned to haggle in open markets, the mindset of getting a good deal stuck with me. The great thing about America is that even though you generally don't haggle, you can get amazing discounts if you only know how and when to buy. I used to think that Walmart was one of the cheapest places to buy groceries, clothes etcetera, boy was I mistaken!! Here are some tips I learned

1. One of the cheapest stores for groceries in the USA is Aldi not Walmart. If you have an Aldi near where you live, do yourself a favor and pay them a visit. You will be amazed at their prices.

Some tips:

Aldi is pretty good but you can't easily find them in TX. For your groceries in TX, HEB is the place to go.

For F1 students, if you have MintSim coverage around you, I suggest you try it as it's relatively cheap.

Just like Mackynaija said, Deserve edu is a good way for F1 students to build credit. Discover will give you a higher credit line >1'5k but you need an SSN. For Deserve, get someone that has a deserve card to share their link to you; that way you both ll get free $30. For Discover you get $50 when you sign up thru an existing users link.

Get a DL even if you don't have a car yet (For those in big cities, find a small town near you & do it there..#lesshassle). Insurance companies start counting your experience from the date on your license. Unless you want to pay ^^100s/month when you eventually do get a car. I don't have to tell you to perfect on your driving in 9ja.

Thanks Sevule for this thread. I know I ll learn a'lot here.. Following

If she can make it up to €9k she can go to Germany & won't even have to spend any of that on Tuition. The €9k {Block Acc} would be for her cost of living in Germany.

Otherwise, she can try Austria, Portugal, Belgium, Hungary, maybe Spain & Italy. Public unis in these countries have cheap tuition. South Korea & Maybe China (if she doesn't mind Asia) There are a'lot of scholarships in Asia.

But as Eldee said.. US is great if she is willing to put in the effort into writing standardised tests. She shouldn't be afraid of the interview. God & preparation is key. All these other countries especially those Europe countries have stringent visa protocols aswell..

@ macky naija, please which company did you use for your transcript evaluation, I read on another thread, that TAMUK doesn't accept WES evaluation.

You don't need to evaluate your transcript when applying to Tamuk. Send your unofficial transcript alongside other application documents then get your uni to send an official transcript upon admission.

Hello House, I applied for a professional master's degree at University of Maryland, recently I was asked to send my transcript directly from my school. I thought a scanned copy was enough to process my application. Right now I don't want to waste money knowing admission is not guaranteed. Please bigfrancia help out.

What do you want him to help you out with? 'Tell you that admission is guaranteed?' undecided
If you are serious about studying in the US then u must be prepared to invest in it.

I have been a silent follower here..My visa was approved at the Lagos consulate this morning 6:30am by a lady in window. 7

V.o: is there no place you can study greenhouse in Nigeria rather than going to the USA.
Me: there are places I can here but the method that are being used here can’t be compared to the state. For example in the USA translucid glasses are used to build the green house but here transparent polythene are used and I need to learn the modern design so that I can implement it here..

I like to see intelligence.

Congratulations

Hey fam, Please I need to get my medicals done before i travel for spring, please are there any designated hospitals one should go to or can it be done in a gov't hospital like Lasuth?

Use LUTH. Ask for Community Health Clinic. You can get all your vaccinations(mmr, hepB, tdt booster, meningococcal) taken there & a Dr. will sign your med forms. It's very easy & they know how to get these things done.

Your question is bogus

I had to read thru your profile to figure that you are going for an undergrad prog in engineering.

Well.. take the SAT
Mississippi Valley State University & other HBCU offer full rides to alot of Nigerian students.

One time the flight was cancelled... otherwise it's ok too.. I just prefer Azman isall when it comes to reliability on that route.

Any thoughts/comments on landing at Newark Liberty International Airport New Jersey using Ethiopian Airlines.

I haven't read any Poe experiences at EWR and flight experiences with ET. The flight time is amazing & it's relatively cheap... just 13 hours. I wonder why people prefer Royal Air Maroc that has about 25 hours flight time with an 11 hour layover at Casablanca & same price range.

Please I got an admission for an associate degree (industrial and mechanical engineering) in a community college at Texas, I already have a B.eng in mechanical engineering.
I have paid the i-901 fee.
What should I do next while applying for visa, an agent said I should bring 75,000 naira, so he can process it for me. I already paid the visa fee at gtbank.
And I also want to know my chances of been granted a visa to study at the community college.

Please I need help. ASAP.

Process what for you? Be wary of these agents. I am sure an agent processed your admission too else why would a B.eng(Mech) holder be going for an associate degree? How do you even explain this to the VO. If you can defend it just fine then your chances are as good as any.

Dear gurus in the house

I applied for I class visa in December 2015 to cover an event in the state, but was denied, I was a journalist then and worked for a popular print media, my two attempt at visa was unsuccessful, I assumed it was due to the fact that I have Presbycusis – Loss of hearing that gradually occurs because of changes in the inner or middle ear in individuals, this made ma ask the VO to repeat them selves often before I could hear them well,(a situation I guess they are not pleased with)

I am not an ENT or anything medical related but I suggest you consult one for hearing aids & subsequent treatments.. Don't let something within your control mitigate your chances at the embassy..Goodluck.

Bro, Nice transcript..

You may find this late but give it a try.. Prof. Valentine Nzengun of University of Georgia in Athens has an ongoing research on in-situ bioremediation and Biostimulation of soil and groundwater contaminant (Phytoremediation).. It is a full funded research where he needs grad students. I'm sure you have a little knowledge of Hydrogeology or surface/groundwater hydrology, If yes send him an email at vnzengun@uga.edu. I dont know how the transfer stuff works, if you can transfer from SIUE to UGA but you may ask people here and get this done ASAP.

Regards!

Nice one bro.. where have you been since.
At SIUE I was accepted by Prof. Zhi-Qing Lin to join his research on Developing phytoremediation techniques for cleaning up trace elements from contaminated soil & water using phytovolatization - extraction & stabilazation. But he is being shady with the funding talk. I will take a look at this.. tnx.
