Candace Petterson, a single mom with an 11 year-old boy moved to Tampa Florida. While in Florida, she started searching for a church to attend. In what she considered to be a blessing, she found a local church - Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist church and started attending.

“People were really friendly there”, Candace said. However, little did she know that the church was probably waiting for her to 'settle down' before sending her a bill for payment! It wasn't really a blessing locating them.

Just after six months with the church, Candace was shocked when she received a letter stating that she was already behind on payments. Simply put - she needs to pay One thousand dollars every year to remain in good standing or be deleted as a member of the church.

The single mom wasn’t alone. Even her 11-year-old child would have to meet the financial obligations, or also face possible scrutiny.
"My child don't have a job, I'm her parent. She's 11 years old. Candace said.

Quickly, she had to run to ABC Action News to share her experience before the church puts her in heavy debt and destroys her credit rating.

A Florida woman was shot in the leg while sitting at a café on Saturday night but didn’t know until doctors found the bullet in her leg five days later. The woman said that after days of pain from what she initially thought was a firecracker, she went to a hospital. Doctors found a .38-caliber bullet lodged in her leg.

"My first thought was somebody hit me, slapped me open handed really hard on my leg and pinched me, but it did not make any sense because I didn't see anyone," Charlebois said."They told me at the hospital they think it's a .38-caliber bullet lodged 4 centimeters inside my leg."
The incident is confusing police officers who are still struggling to figure out where the bullet came from.

Why did American hunter kill Cecil, his beloved lion

Weeks after searching for the killer of one of Zimbabwe's most loved and famous lion, it has been revealed that an American hunter killed the lion after paying $50,000 to two guides. The 13 year old lion, named Cecil, was shot with a crossbow and rifle, before being beheaded and skinned.
"I had no idea that the lion I took was a known, local favorite, was collared and part of a study until the end of the hunt," Palmer's statement said. "I relied on the expertise of my local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt."

Palmer's hunting has attracted scrutiny in the past. In 2008, he pleaded guilty to lying to a US wildlife agent about a black bear he killed in Wisconsin two years before.

Palmer was accused of killing a bear outside his permitted zone, hauling the carcass back into the approved area and certifying falsely that it was killed there. He was sentenced to one year probation and fined $2,938.
