So you agree that it was a physical battle between Gundogan and Marquinhos in which Marquinhos came up tops. It can then be said the goal is well deserved. Can you give the battles involved in the KDB goal at least?

There wasn't even a battle as Gundogan wasn't positionaly aware

Agbegbaorogboye:

Goals come as a result of errors no doubt. But I'm sure you've heard of unforced errors and schoolboy errors before if you're familiar with sports.
PSG came into the second half looking to do same thing they did against Bayern that worked. Play on the counter. Like I said and it's obvious you can't argue it, man city had 1 shots on target before their goal! This is indicative of a toothless attack. PSG by then had 9 shots with 4 on target.

Compare PSG's goal which came from a corner with Marquinhos charging at the ball which was put into an unmarked space picked by Maria. The job still needed to be done by Marquinhos for the ball to go beyond the keeper.
Man city's goal on the other hand, no Man City player was attacking the ball towards the post. All Navas had to do was follow the trajectory of the ball and pick it up. But I guess he got too used to Marquinhos clearing the aerial ball, he forgot he has a keeper is the last line for clearing the ball. That's a schoolboy goalkeeper error and an unforced error from PSG as a team, just same way they did with Man utd's second goal that year.
I hope you can see the difference.

That PSG wouldn't have happened if Gundogan marked his man well. That's an error too. About the City goals, you have to be dominant and to force goals. City dominated PSG the whole of 2nd half.

Well, sorry I've managed more than a primary school team before. But that's not the point. Hi check the stat of the match. Before kdb's goal, can you point at one chance created by city? That's besides the fact that kdb's goal was a schoolboy error from Navas. The kind he was prone to that made Madrid sell him as popular as he was.
The second goal was another football calamity. It's a basic rule in football. You don't leave holes in your wall for a free kick. In fact, go watch that goal again, even Mahrez didn't expect it to go through.
Football is winner takes all. But PSG have shown their normal propensity to shoot themselves in the foot like they did against Barca and Man utd previously before we thought they've dropped that habit last season.
I believe PSG will believe they have a lot to fight for in the second leg though it will be difficult with Gueye's red. The stability he gives them will become Poch's major headache now.

cc: coiner, uwanaobong3

Goals come as a result of errors and neglected details. PSG goal was possible because of an Error from Gundogan marking his man. City would have kept a clean sheet.

For the fact that PSG was outclassed the entire 2nd half with one sub tells you all you need to know about a tactician.

Real Madrid vs PSG will play the Champions League final. PSG, so far, has made a very loud statement and have made City look like a small club. The match will get more interesting with Guardiola introducing newer legs in the second half but it won't stop PSG from getting at least one goal in the second half.

Manchester City does not have the answer to Mbappe's power, Neymar's skill and Di Maria's flair. Parades, Veratti and Bakker have all owned City so far.

You were twerking too soon before the end of the game.

Guardiola is mad. The unfortunate thing is he has no one to tell him.
Imagine playing Bernardo Silva, Mahrez and Foden against a notoriously slow PSG defense. You now leave sterling and Jesus for bench!! PSG must be thanking their God for such cluelessness. I suspect na Buhari dey wear guardiola mask!!

I am unimpressed with your stupidity. Imagine someone that has never managed a primary school team giving advice to renowned tactician.

Kevin De Bruyne says it was "a straightforward decision" to sign contract extension with Manchester City until 2025 and he "could not be happier"; De Bruyne's existing deal was due to expire in 2023; director of football Txiki Begiristain says it is "a very significant moment" for City

Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him at the club until 2025.

The Belgium international, whose existing deal was due to expire in 2023, is 30 in June and now looks set to see out most of the remainder of his career at the Etihad.

De Bruyne has had a glittering spell since joining the club from Wolfsburg in 2015, winning seven major trophies, which could become 11 by the end of the season if City are successful in their hunt for a quadruple.

Max stake varies. See bet slip for details. Odds subject to fluctuation. Further T&Cs apply. 18+

However, ominously for the rest of Europe, he reckons the best is yet to come for himself and Pep Guardiola's team.

"I could not be happier. Since joining City in 2015, I have felt at home," he said. "I love the fans, my family are settled here in Manchester and my own game has developed really well.

"This football club is geared for success. It offers me everything I need to maximise my performance, so signing this contract was a straightforward decision. I am playing the best football of my career and I honestly feel there is more to come.

"Pep and I see football in the same way. Having that relationship with a manager is so important to me because our objectives are totally aligned, and we want the same things."M e
My focus nsuriengo we have a successful end to the current campaign. Our results and performances so far have been excellent, but we need to make sure we end the season with the silverware we deserve."

De Bruyne deal 'a statement of intent'

Former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha says Kevin de Bruyne's contract extension is a 'statement of intent' by the midfielder and the club.

De Bruyne, who was named as the Professional Footballers' Association's player of the year in 2020, is having another impressive campaign, with seven goals and 16 assists, and director of football Txiki Begiristain knows City have one of the best footballers in the world on their hands.

"This is a very significant moment for this football club. Kevin is, without question, one of the best players in world football," Begiristain said.

"His performance level has been remarkably consistent since coming to City, and in the last few years he has developed into one of the game's elite players.

"His talent is unquestionable - but he is also a consummate professional whose dedication to Manchester City during his time here has been nothing short of remarkable. He constantly seeks to improve, and his approach is the perfect blueprint for any young player looking to carve out a career.

"We are delighted he is our player and I look forward to watching him during his peak years here at Manchester City."

These are the Points made by Desmond Elliot that the so called influencers are crying about:

1. Elliot called on the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly to “address certain things” like “the Nigerian youth, the social media, the social influencers”.
He said that all of these are making the narratives that we are seeing today.

2. Social media, though good, has its negative impacts.”

3. When I went through the comments, I could not believe it, Mr. Speaker. The curses, the abuses from children. And I ask myself ‘Is this Nigeria? What is going on?’ Children cursing?”

4. Culture is gone, and warned the House that “in the next five years, Nigeria is gone if we don’t start now.”

5. He called on celebrities, influencers and motivational speakers to use their platforms to “stop the hatred” as they have the means to change governments.

Me: So please, I need someone to point out where Desmund said the terrible things that they are crying about here ?
It appears that there is a grand plan to cyber bully any voice of reason!
One again it was Davido that picked up this and started writing!

In your wisdom this poses more threats than the killings by the government security personnels and the bad governance which are the reason for these reactions.
