And yes, I do have an account with them.

I have been actively communicating with my Bank and they said the money has not reached their shores nor the intermediary local bank they used to finalize the Transfer in the first instance. Thank you for your advice, i just emailed my School to obtain the Telex copy. Currently awaiting their response. It is just surprising that a Transfer is taking up to three weeks. I wonder what the hold up is about.

Returned foreign currency transfer does not take more than 2 days......however, it is not a big problem.....you may need to write to your school to forward to you the swift message or telex copy evidencing the refund; with the telex copy, you can approach the receiving bank (your Nigerian Bank in this case) to trace where the money is hanging..................

The Nigerian bank through which you remitted the funds for your school fees, do you have an account with the bank? On the contrary you may approach your Nigeria Bank and lodge the complaints

Please how long does it take for money to be remitted from Canada to Nigeria. I paid my full tuition fees for my program but the School said they will reject part of the Tuition fees that is not due as it is not in the School policy to accept fees that are not due yet. The School said they have returned the (not due) Tuition fees since August 14th but my bank has not received it yet. Has anyone been in a situation similar to this. Kindly advise. I am really worried and confused on what is going on.

You can easily apply for your co-op/internship work permit when you arrive Canada provided you have a letter from your school to that regard.

I hope this helps.
Thank you. Sigh. I am just wondering why they did not look into it and issue it along with my Study permit considering i submitted the letter from my School indicating that Co-op is part of my program. They even almost doubled the duration of my study in my Study Permit.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Mbaku86: 3:15pm On Aug 03, 2018
I obtained my Study Permit which is to last for a total duration of two years five months. The duration for my program is 19 months plus Co-op - 16 months for study and 3 months for Co-op/internship. In my Study Permit application i provided evidence of Co-op/internship. Will i have to still apply for a Co-op permit as it seems i was only issued a Study permit and no indication whatsoever was referred to my application for Co-op? Could i infer that the long duration of my study was accommodated in the Study Permit?

Bro, I'm yet to apply for visa but going through the posts here I'm at lost what 'medicals' am I to do? I have a health fitness certificate from FMC in Enugu, isn't it enough? Or is their a particular kind of medical test that is required.

Thanks for your anticipated reply.
The health fitness certificate will be inadmissible. As part of the requirements for Study permit you will have to take a Medical test by CIC approved Hospitals. They test primarily for your H.I.V Status, Syphilis and Tuberculosis. This is a link of the approved hospitals that you can take your tests - http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx You can undertake the test before the submission of your application (i.e Upfront Medicals) or submit your application and wait for CIC to "request" you to take one at any of the above-mentioned hospitals.

Hello wonderful people.
May all your dreams come true...
Where is the best clinic to do medicals in abuja.
Thank you
If you are in a hurry i will advise you not to do it in Abuja Clinic. For some reason (known to them) they delay in sending their reports. I used them when Medicals were requested by CIC and it took them two weeks to send my report. Moreso, they are the most expensive out of all the Accredited Hospitals authorized by CIC. It costs 48,000 Naira to conduct your medicals at Abuja Clinic. The other alternative is IOM, some Nairalanders have given decent reviews of the clinic.

Hey bro,

I presume your Undergraduate program in the UK lasted for 3yr with 180ECTS ?

You said Masters admissions have closed by the time you made up your mind, but have you seen anyone be it from the UK or other EU countries that gained admission in Canada with the 3yr degree certificate ?

Many Canadian Universities required 4yr degree program or its equivalent to be considered for Masters admission. Do you know if the European 3yr degree equivalents to what required by the Canadian Universities?

Regards
A three years degree obtained from the UK is equivalent to Canadian degrees. I have a 2:1 from a British University and i gained admission for MBA to VIU and Thompson Rivers University.

Good morning everyone,
Pls is there anyone in the house who has an idea of how much it will cost to do the medical exam in one of the approved hospitals in Lagos or abuja ?

Thanks
Abuja is N48,500 at Abuja Clinic. I believe it is significantly cheaper in Lagos. Probably N28,000. Also, if it is a Medical request i will advise to choose Lagos. It seems Abuja Clinic delay in sending Medical reports to CIC. I did mine there and it took them 2 weeks to send mine.

Please i need somebody that applied to TRU to help me m. I applied there for a month now, haven't heard from them yet. And again i wish to know if the require tuition deposit. And how much it could be. Please.....
I believe it is a normal occurrence for them to delay their applications. I applied to TRU and VIU for an MBA at the same time. It took TRU over two months to positively reply me. By then i had already accepted and paid my Tuition deposit for VIU. Yes, they require a deposit. I believe the deposit might vary based on your course.

I received a Medical request on the 8th of June, 2018. Afterwards, i did my Medicals on the 11th and the Hospital confirmed they sent my report. But on my portal no update so far on the medical status. It is still showing that they have requested a Medical. Is the status on medical not supposed to have been updated by now?
