Thank you LagosNIV for this LagosNIV: Hello nanajec -
We do not comment on the chances of issuance of any particular case. However, in almost all circumstances we don't care who invited you, or if anyone has invited you. Invitation letters are rarely requested or looked at. What we do care about are your ties to Nigeria. A history of international travel is one of many factors we consider in analyzing ties. KaptainAfrika: It makes no difference, if you travel all around the world and there is nothing tying to Nigeria, you may not get the visa. Well unless you have money to spare, you could apply, if you think it would make the difference. |

A thousand likes for this post. Well said Twoods TWoods: To an extent i would agree with you and perhaps admit i may have been quite brusque with regard to some of my responses. However... you would also admit that a lot of our problem is that we are a society that expects to be "treated with respect" even when we are obviously breaking the law. Demanding respect, without character or integrity, is nothing. Now i'll try to address a few points in your note above:
1. Lets be honest, the intent of many here is glaringly obvious. Infact the very title of the thread makes it clear. Its lying about it that is the problem. If you are planning to have a child in the US, just admit so at your interview. Often times many complain that everyone has become a CBP officer, the part everyone tends to ignore is that the lies that others tell is why genuine travellers have a harder time obtaining visas. It is UNFAIR for others to have to jump through hoops to satisfy a visa officer just because the visa officers have had to deal with prior fraudulent applicants. We all deserve to be able to walk into a US embassy and not have to face embarrassing questions, intrusive requests and demeaning interview sessions just because the previous guy chose to present himself with false documents. So yeah, while we should not "carry people's problems like gala", their actions reflect negatively on everyone else... whether you like it or not. You're going to be the next pregnant family seeking a visa, don't be surprised if they don't believe your story regardless of how genuine it is.
For example - documents are no longer required for a visa interview in Nigeria... BECAUSE of the preponderance of FAKE documents. If you were applying for a visa in the US (or change of status), documents are required (because they can be verified easily). Documents are also required in other European countries. I remember a little over 15 years ago, an invitation letter used to be good enough to guarantee a visiting visa... well thanks to Nigerians with their "gala".
No one wants to be a CBP officer, but dear Lord help others to not have to constantly suffer the indignity of being treated with suspicion just for merely holding a green passport... because of your actions.
2. Financial status - if you can't afford to have a baby in the US, kindly have him/her in Nigeria. It is not worth it.
3. Plans - well, travel to the US is not the same as traveling to Ibadan. You would expect that someone who went through the process of applying for a visa has already made plans that are consistent with what they claimed at their interview.
Bottomline, there really is not excuse for lying... at all. |

So the change if intent letter is still needful in some cases right? Not for someone to come here to completely rule it out justwise: This case is not the same as somebody who lied during visa interview then send letter of intent as a short cut. |
Travel › Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by Mbamto: 7:58pm On Jun 09, 2017 |
people have shared their recent experiences with the CPB at POE and you are here writing rude English in the name of " standard procedure " why mislead/ discourage people? You are already a citizen and definately have less none immigrant visa experience (especially recent) than none immigrant visa applicants. Just read a few pages back, you will see how that change of intent letter and reply have saved so many. The question is why discourage someone from getting it (rudely sef) , its just a letter, its not an extra load, if not asked at POE fine, afterall its not heavy to carry. Honestly your hibernation was a relief TWoods: Read before you comment. I posted a link twice that was a direct quote on this very topic from abujaniv, a VO who is a regular poster here. Perhaps you should direct your comment to him.
The point is simple - sending a letter of intent is not standard procedure. It may have worked for you but don't imply that others follow the same pattern so they don't end up wasting their time. |

progress69: Lol.Where y'all got ur assumptions and fake informations from...only God knows. That people don't lie about relatives abroad is the figment of your imaginations. U should stop arguing about things u av little knowledge about. One of the lies told after monthly income is not having a relative abroad. Most have the wrong notion that indicating u have a relative abroad reduces ur chances while others click the No cos they really don't know the status of the so called relative. I really dont know how this is related to the argument cos it was about u telling someone they should forget about America for life if their sister breaks immigration laws. That ones sister broke immigration laws and was deported does not deter any of her relatives from applying and getting a visa except he or she committed a terror related offence where proper vetting will be done before visa can be issued to a relative of such. As a matter of fact Most of the non criminal deportations just carry a ban of 5 years after which such can apply for a visa again. If u think there is a computer program not to even mention a human VO that actually check if any of ur relatives have been deported for a non criminal offence like just breaking visa rules...all i can do is LOL. For ur info once anyone has gained entry...its is very difficult to be deported just like that especially if the individual have not committed any serious criminal offence....cos he/she still have a right to an immigration lawyer and an immigration hearing. Some of this hearings takes years. No one is encouraging anyone to break visa rules.....but correcting wrong notions is also Paramount. Why trying to talk some sense into clowns that ask funny questions publicly u don't need to exaggerate and pass wrong info in the process. Having immediate relatieves that entered US through a legit way is ok, whether you list them or not, the VO knows cos details relating to your profile pops up. @ bolded, msrepresentation? When caught, you use another lie to cover and keep damaging your profile with the embassy, I understand, keep decieving your the gulible ones. no more replies from me, wehdone oo FrankNetter, please come yarn better story, quite entertaining |

Exaggeration Recall, while filling the DS160, you filled your parents data, and also you will answer the question of if you have an immediate relative in the US. You cannot lie about immediate relative cos you share same parents data. The VO will think you want to go same route as your sister, what next You need the strongest ties and prayers to cross the high hurdles of convincing the VO. That is a fact. The sins of your siblings catch up with you, unless you want to misrepresent (much more dangerous) progress69: The kind of gross exaggerations that go on here is quite alarming. In as much as u want to correct someone.... There is no point also lying to correct someone. I really don't know how she breaking immigration rules affects her family or siblings. Its her cross if she is caught and deported and that doesn't stop anyone else from applying. |

She has already applied for the Visa and her Interview date is next Month. Stay Tourist visa is for a short stay and not for immigration purpose. She has not gotten the visa yet and she is already talking of extention, assuming the visa is granted, on what grounds will she apply for an extension? |

Joy022: Hello everyone, I and my husband were denied our visa for the second time, the first was in January 2016 and the second today. It was so annoying because we are so sincere with our documents and answers when questioned. We've both visited Dubai, South Africa, Amsterdam, Germany and France. And we've stayed not more than 10 days in all our trips cos we both own and run our businesses for over years( registered with workers). We have a child and we said so when we first applied but not with her and the second application was still without her cos we lost her( she died) and we said so too( we are always so sincere with every interview we go for, so no need to be nervous). What could be the reason for our frequent refusal? We were given a letter of invitation from my husband's uncle a doctor( included even a copy of his passport and a letter). It's so annoying. https://www.nairaland.com/2656320/usa-visit-visa-part-2. Visit this thread, read through, ask your questions, you will be glad you did. Thank me later |
