Richtaiwo: Putting it on the very high side, around 5k. And that is with the assumption that the picture did not capture the whole "crowd". Because if what I'm seeing in the picture is anything to go by, this far less than 1k. A little bit above 500.
So 5k is a crowd?
This is what they see and be thinking pitobi has won Nigeria presidential election.
Is it that difficult to reconcile figure with reality?
If na tinibu you no go see reach 500 paid miscreants. Obi pulled this crowd without giving them shishi, yet you still get time to be making jest of yourself.
psalmsjob: Peter Obi: The Man Who Taxed Poverty in Anambra
Dear Peter Obi,
Thank you for your thoughts on the Tax Reform Act, which came into force yesterday, which was New Year's Day. However, it seems you have forgotten the following historical facts.
While you were the Governor of Anambra, poverty increased in the state, yet you imposed new and heavy taxes on the people of Anambra.
Please fact-check me: The poverty rate in Anambra was 41.4% in 2003, before Obi took office, and rose to 53.7% by 2009, during his governorship, a 29.7% increase.
Yet, despite the rise in poverty under your watch as Governor, on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, you imposed new and heavy taxes on Anambra markets, prompting traders in the state to protest.
And again, please fact-check me.
When 600 traders from Eke Awka Market protested and filed an appeal against you, you insisted that they must pay your new, heavy taxes.
At that, they led another protest to the Anambra State House of Assembly, barricaded it, and prevented legislative business from proceeding.
And all this was happening while you, Peter, dishonestly hid your own money in tax havens, as shown in the Pandora Papers of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists.
Therefore, I find it strange that you, who increased poverty in Anambra and also simultaneously increased taxes, are now accusing the Tinubu administration, which has added $57 billion to our economy, of taxing the poor.
And just so you know, your allegations show that you haven't read the new tax laws, because in those legislations, Nigerians earning less than ₦800,000 will not be taxed.
Meaning that under President Tinubu, those petty traders in Anambra that you taxed to near death would have a tax holiday.
So, please, Peter, reread your post, and direct it at yourself, because it is all about you, the man who taxed poverty in Anambra!
You were taxing poverty as Anambra Governor, but President Tinubu is tackling poverty as Nigeria's President.

reno again? Cursing Obi for nothing with the same mouth he once used in praising him. Shows that reno is hungry r@t.
ridwintin89: Where is Rochas Okorocha,he was once a vibrant politician in our political circles.
I hardly heard anything about him for quite a while.
MNK once said that, any Igbo politician that betrays his people just to remain in the good books of, northern political leaders must surely come back in shame.
Now Okorocha did not only came back in shame, he is also a forgotten politician.
Segunbabba: Former Anambra State Governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has accused the administration of President Bola Tinubu of destroying Nigeria through poor leadership, institutional decay and policies that have worsened poverty, disunity and democratic decline.
Obi stated this on Wednesday, while delivering a statement titled “It Is Now Time for National Unity and Prosperity,” at his official defection to ADC. The former governor of Anambra State said Nigeria has sunk deeper into distress under the present administration, becoming widely regarded as a failing and disgraced nation.
According to Obi, Nigeria under President Tinubu is experiencing worsening insecurity, rising unemployment, fiscal recklessness and a collapse of public trust in governance. He said the country’s democratic institutions have been weakened, with governance now characterised by impunity, manipulation and disregard for the rule of law.
Our democracy is under threat. Our nation is adrift. Our people are in persistent agony,” Obi said, adding that Nigeria is now recording negative outcomes across all major indicators of good governance, including accountability, political stability, control of corruption and government effectiveness. He lamented that more than 130 million Nigerians are living in multidimensional poverty, while over 80 million youths remain unemployed, a situation he attributed to ineffective and dishonest leadership under the current administration.
Obi said the Tinubu government has failed to provide inclusive governance and has instead presided over increased hardship and national disunity.
Obi also criticised the administration’s fiscal policies, describing them as exploitative and harmful to ordinary Nigerians. He pointed to the ongoing controversy surrounding the tax reform law, which he said has been admitted by the National Assembly to have been forged in its gazetted version. According to him, the government is attempting to impose higher taxes on already impoverished citizens based on a compromised legal framework.
It is bad fiscal policy for the government to make the people poorer and still tax them more,” Obi said, warning that taxing poverty would only deepen suffering and further destroy national cohesion. He accused the Tinubu administration of rewarding illegality and corrupt practices, while punishing merit and competence, arguing that Nigeria’s decline is not the fault of its citizens but the result of betrayal by those in power.
Nigeria is not poor; we are looted into poverty. Nigeria is not broken; we are severely betrayed,” he said, describing the current government as one that thrives on division, dishonesty and indifference to the suffering of the people. Obi concluded that the present administration has failed to lead or serve Nigerians, insisting that without honest, transparent and unifying leadership, Nigeria will continue on a path of decline rather than progress.
If Iran bombed the shit out of Israel, why is it that Israel continues to wage successful wars against Iranian allies while Iran keeps mute?
Trump was already in the plan. Israel didn't run to him for help. Israel's target was for ground soldiers to destroy Iran's nuclear networks and kill Ayatollah but Trump disagreed, promising to use America's rock buster bombs to destroy the nuclear sites while Israel stays away and avoid killing Ayatollah. Trump didn't want him killed because he thought his death would destabilize the middle east.
When Trump reneged on his promise to send the bombs, Israel was preparing for a ground incursion to destroy the nuclear sites and kill Ayatollah. Trump had to immediately fulfil his promise so as to save Ayatollah s life. He then sent the bombers as promised.
The bombers didn't attach anyone or anything in Iran. Just the nuclear sites as promised. So, where in your head did you register that Israel ran to USA for help to defeat Iran? Israel was not even flighting Iran otherwise Iran would have been leveled during those 12 days in which Israel had absolute control of all Iran's skies. Israel was sending messages of comfort to Iranians during those times. So, they were not fighting Iran. Instead, they wanted to limit Iran's nuclear progression and take out its nuclear scientists. They achieved that 100%.
Keep shouting that Israel ran to Trump just to make yourself happy. Iranians are currently revolting and praising Bibi while chanting death to the supreme leader.
So you don't know that DomPerignon is a known l!@r in this forum? Abeg always research everything he says, because he is not a soothsayer.
Predictor3: Why should obi remain in LP when he couldn't win on his own with Lp? He must go and deputize Atiku for him to at least have a fighting chance to get close to federal power. Yes
Point of correction, Every responsible Nigeria knows that Obi won the 2023 presidential election, before tinibu and mamood used their technical glitch, snatched, grabbed and run tactics to truncate the election. And tinibu is planning on doing the same thing in 2027 but it will not work for him.
stuffs2002: Hahaha.... Cry harder Igbos praying for the downfall mean nothing because you guys are insignificant. Go back look at he last 3 elections so that you can cry harder
I should cry because of your god (tinibu) rigging of elections?
You are dreaming and I don't want you to ever wake up. The only insignificant people in this country are the sad wastéès. They can't do without leeching, clinching and attaché by force. They can't stand alone and champion for anything meaningful without the backing of the north. For them to win any political post, they must align with the north. They also want Igbos to remain in Nigeria so that the great Igbos, will be running their cities and towns for them and, by so doing their lazy @$$ brothers/youths can be collecting their feeding money through "owo mi da" money.
Little wonder the sad wastéés are the ones that h@te Biafra agitation more than any other tribe in Nigeria.
kayjordan: I didn't specifically imply that Peter Obi should remain in Labour Party but I rather acknowledged his transfer to another party as a good political game tactic.
There's no evidence that President Tinubu used his tribesmen to destabilise the party - however, if your assumption is valid, then it shows the High IQ of Tinubu in the game of politics where there are no rules.
It's true that I never condemned the defections of political office holders to the APC -instead I acknowledged it.
Why it seems I'm being hypocritical supporting defections to APC - and nasty for criticizing Labour party member's defections to other parties, is rooted in one thing - PERFECTION SYNDROME - this is what the supporters of Labour party displayed like Saints and that's why I'm being nasty, not hypocritical.
The fact remains that, you are being "hypocritical" not nasty.
You saw the rubbish apapa (a yoruba man) was doing with the leadership of LP you didn't say anything because, you were blind and dumb when all the apapa nonsense were happening.
You saw and heard about many defections from Other political parties to APC you still remained quite waiting for Obi to defect. And immediately Obi did what other political leaders has been doing, you now remember its time for you to swing into action and you want us to see your actions as being " nasty"?
bluepreek: Please let's hold a 5 minutes of silence for all the innocent souls that were lost simply because of Ojukwus greed 😔.
May their souls rip and their descendants not be f00lish enough to being led to their early graves like Ojukwu did to their forefathers 😔
When are the liars in sad waste going to retire from telling lies and propaganda? Britain and their puppets in Nigeria (Gowon included) caused the war not Ojukwu.
stuffs2002: Me and you no dey the same category. After all na 3rd class category Una dey.
*Buhari won in 2015, Una dey cry and gnash Una teeth *Buhari won again in 2019, Una dey wail and roll for floor *Tinubu win in 2023, Una start to dey cry dey foam for mouth.
Na only God knows wetin Una go cry when Tinubu win second term. Then I no even even fit imagine wetin Una go cry when north win in 2031 and 2035
Igbos can never ever rule Nigeria
The bolded is exactly the reason why Igbos can never ever be patriotic Nigerian citizens. That's why majority of Igbos pray and want the downfall of Nigeria.
kayjordan: This is not a direct attack on the political candidate Peter Obi - but on his avid young supporters who preached sainthood.
It's a popular culture to switch political parties in Nigeria and also, a popular culture to criticize politicians who do so. In 2023, Peter Obi was polished by Nigerians as the Messiah - and I felt confused... Did they mean the perfect man for the job? Or the better man for the job? - the views I got pointed to the former and it became clear to me.
Labour party which became the Church of the Saints, was publicized with all virtues you could think of - and it felt so sacred that people didn't mind being card carriers of the party. The sacred party in the shortest time ever, began having cracked walls and pillars due to inferior building materials - and everybody in it now wants to run out before the building collapses on them. Some have escaped successfully, some are still acting brave with faint hearts staying in the building because they don't want to be caught cowardly running out of the building - but eventually one of them just did recently - but he ran out majestically.
Now that the Super Star of the Labour party has been exported to the ADC, will the Obidients cross-pollinate? - Or would they tag the Super Star as part of the "Old Block"? - or would they do damage-control and say - "It's not by what you wear that matters to God, but your heart?" - I dunno...
But what I do know is that - Peter Obi is a fantastic actor, playing very good scripts and doing the job of a Politician as it should. Obidients on the other hand, are the pieces of papers used for the scripts and flung out to the wind after use.
... not just the Labour party though, but other parties do that too.
The nail point: politics is technical-sportsmanship and not some emotional battle. Politicians play it like a game; their supporters play it like war.
The Obidients probably have a new party since their motivations are attached to the Person rather than the party.
The moral question is: if they will be disobedient to their idol or continue to be obedient.
Lol this one wants Obi to remain in LP after tinibu don use his tribesmen destroy the party kpatakpata.
Governors, senators, and political leaders have been defecting to APC, we didn't see you open any thread in condemnation of the defections that has been happening in Nigeria for more than two years now.

I have no intention of stopping you from your professional wailings
Ok continue the crying because of Obi till you kpeme. The last time I checked, Obi is a Nigerian citizen and that gives him the right to contest for any position he wants, including the presidential sit so long as he merits the position.
So any agbadorian that wants to kpai himself/herself because Obi is contesting for the presidential sit, should go ahead and do so that person won't be missed.
amoreobansu: Co-convener of the BringBackOurGirls Movement, Aisha Yesufu, has declared that she will become a card-carrying member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing her support for Peter Obi.
Yesufu made the declaration on Wednesday in Enugu, in solidarity with Obi following his defection from the Labour Party to the ADC.
She urged well-meaning Nigerians to unite ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing the need for collective action to rescue the country.
“I have never been a card-carrying member of any political party, but I will be a card-carrying member of the ADC,” she said.
“Enough is enough. There is no more time for tears. We have cried too much.
“From this moment onward, we will fight for Nigeria. We will build a great nation.
“ADC will take Nigeria to a point where the son of a nobody can become somebody without knowing anybody,” Yesufu added.
Hundreds of energetic youths in Akwa Ibom State took to the streets on December 30, 2025, in a colorful and well-organized rally to show strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Governor Pastor Umo Eno. The atmosphere was filled with excitement, music, dancing, and solidarity as participants proudly displayed posters declaring "Akwa Ibom Youth United" in support of the trio. DomPerignon: This is part of the ongoing Tinubu administration's military cooperation and agreement with the United States to take out all criminal and terrorist camps in Nigeria.
Hope you won't complain when bombs start raining down your village.
The bolded has been your prayers. SE is the only region you want US bombs in fact, had it being US left Sokoto and targeted SE, nobody will see you crying and complaining the way you've been doing for the past few days now.
Anyway, let US help SE in kpaing those government sponsored terrorists that are causing havoc in SE using the name of innocent IPOB
