If you read the verse it says “by the Spirit,19 by whom” Thus the by whom” is the Holy Spirit. So with that in mind the verse says the following that Christ by the Holy Spirit “went and preached to the spirits in prison”. The verse says that Christ by the Holy Spirit “went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 who formerly were disobedient,” when? The verse states ” when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.” So Christ by the Holy Spirit preached to the spirits in prison in the days of Noah while the ark was being prepared. Thus this happened before Jesus came as a man. so according to John 8:34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. so whosever comits sin is a slave to sin. now jesus in spirit went to d humans living in noah's time, the Bible tells us Satan has “made the world as a wilderness And destroyed its cities, ” and “did not open the house of his prisoners “. (Isaiah 14:17) So Satan is the one keeping these prisoners. Prisoners have no freedom. Who is it whom Satan is trying to take captive? Humans of course. Thus, the prisoners are actually humans who are bound to sin. dats based on my litu understanding with the help of the holy spirit.....i had to add some source sef 1 Like |

Luke 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee Today, shalt thou be with me in paradise. pls read the ff passages...luke 4:24, 9:27, 12:37, 12:44, 18:17, 18:29, 21:3, and 21:43 ........ in d greek txt of d bible there was no punctuation mark. and dis was the ist time jesus will use today n verily togeda in one passage....so the meaning of dis passage is based on ir beliv..by placing the comma wer u wish....so jesus was telin 'Verily I say unto thee Today....' meaning he is talking to him dis very moment...we can say it lyk dis! surely i say to u today, dat u will be with me in paradise..... simple |

greetings to all of you in the name of Jesus. I am writing this article so as to give us 'christians' a biblical understanding of what happens after an individual breaths his last breath. This am saying now is based upon my understanding of the bible and the holyspirit helped in interpreting part i dont understand. now lets talk about the main subject. According to the following verses...... matthew 9 vs24... He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. John 11:11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. Acts 7:60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. 1 Corinthians 15:6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Based on the above text from the holy bible, we can understand that when a person dies, he does not go to a world beyond or transforms into something else. He is asleep waiting for the time that he would be woken uo someday. Just like when we sleep, we are conscious of nothing, we just lie on where we slept waiting to be woken up by instinct. secondly, lets us consider the following verses ....... John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust this is just the simple and logical explanation of death so fellas isnt it quite simple to know that one day our friends and family will be ressurected and we will see them once more? may d peace of the Lord be with you all |

the internet is a place were we get informations about diferent issues that was why some few days ago i typed a question on google and it brought various options for me to click on and select the best for what i was searching for of which nairaland.com was also a link that was given. to my surprise even though the question was asked on a topic the reply was just rubbish ranging from abuse to curse to ist to comment to out of the question awnsers. nothing relevant was gotten there. lets change this attitude and lets make nairaland an educative site for all to benefit from. atleast we get reasojable answers from yahoo answers....pls let us change. i am currently serving in one of the primary schools in delta state. i am a batch 'c' corps member. the issue is that we are not being paid our state monthly allowance while my fellow corps members in secondary schools and other copas not in primary school are being paid. this realy hurts and it is not encouraging. please what do yoh think i can do. the gov promised to pay the batch A buh still hasnt paid.....pls advice or if u can help contact the gov pls do |
