After getting my call up later and posted to edo state I was happy because of the rich heritage of the edo people and the stories I heard of how Corper’s enjoy over there. To cut the long story short I had the shock of my life when I got to the camp, they have pit toilets for Corper’s both male and female. And no Corper’s are allowed to charge inside their room , reason? Well ask the camp commandant because they haven’t giving us any concrete one yet. Corper’s are forced to charge at the mami market, perhaps the camp commandant have business deal with those charging or he runs it himself . The camp is not a total mess, at least the mami market is dope and the people here are really friendly. If you have been reading this from the beginning you will notice I didn’t mention the accommodation, that one is a special case i can only show through pictures. Incase you don’t know I am writing this from where am having my Short put... camp can not give me toilet disease abeg, if the officials and head can not make this camp better then no one should be posted to edo camp till they move to their permanent site.....

Sorry boss. Please are you still in camp now? Please I have a friend in camp who I havent been able to contact for some days now, please I will be glad if you can help. Thank you.

This is so comforting. Igbo language will not die in 50years.. but it will and most likely be anaemic....in 50 years if we do nothing about it. I'm a linguist...have been part of a series of Language attitude tests...have also translated to igbo..so im fairly aware of the pseudo-health Igbo language seems to have.

Language thrives on culture...not entirely though...but to a large extent...our cultural systems havent been in the best shape recently. I stand to be corrected...but the only well respected King in 'Ala-igbo' is the obi of onitsha...and the underpinning of that 'respect' is that d cultural system that He 'presides' over is fairly 'alive'.

The other thing is our philosophy...every language cum culture thrives on a philosophy... English, French, Italian, Yoruba, W.d.g. , Philosophy anyi seems to be almost non-existent. Onye bu onye Igbo? O so onye na-asu Igbo? Onwe omume obula eji akachaputa ndi igbo? If you consider these you'll see that we need to start re- building our cultural foundations, and re-awakening Umumme anyi to the philosophy that we should be known for.

I read things fall apart atleast once a year. Its very rich in these things.( it was.written in what is called.'Igbo English' and the use of.proverbs and philosophical innuendoes are very stimulating....Maka Chukwu)

while im not in any way advocating for cheats, im abit shocked at the seeming level of tolerance...cheating is gruesome and insulting, people can change. The issue here is that if people hold this paradigm that 'a person who errs once will always err" as a fundamental premise undergirding human interactions, then.....the conclusion of things would be awful.
Anyone who Cheats.... should get help.....SPIRITUAL THERAPY and PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPY.
spiritual therapy because marriage is a sacred and a highly esteemed spiritual institution...a person who cheats...obviously does not fully understand the implications of marriage. Psych Eval is important also...so that the social implications of cheating is unravelled to them....again!

Personally, I'd rather not. A man/woman stands before his maker and swears allegiance to something and he/she falters. I will forgive yes but give that person a chance to do it again? Not happening.

Look at the case of that woman, she could have left and have sickness free life with herself but she chose to believe a man who had already showed how much his promises meant.

Are you saying that once a person cheats once its 'over? that might be a tad too 'strong'. This is by no means an endorsement of marital malpractice... but for my fellow unmarried folks... pls unless you can agree to FORGIVE ANYTHING pls dont bother getting married.

For the test you'll write two papers; phonolog and syntax.. for phonology please read OYEBADE....completely..you'll b writing rules and solving data...and some run-around on general phonology. For syntax, party with your EST, adjunction/complementation, grammticality... and the like. Anyway, please dont be limited to these, those were the contents of our test. All the best!
