einsteino: I wish there was a living in Australia thread, so we could learn from the experiences of immigrants who have settled in. it would help us better prepare and serve as a repository of info. I support this. This is exactly what they are doing in Canada thread. They have a separate live in Canada thread where those that are already there are giving others a head way. I think we should duplicate an Australia version. For those that are already there, pls don't be too reserved to burst our brains with how life is in Australia. Your experience so far. I have not see any in this thread. And I think it is high time we gave that an attention. Pls people kindly share your experience if possible post pictures as well. That is not out of place. It can be done in form of a documentary. I see similar threads every time here in the travel section but have never see any about Australia. |

Bro ,go for Canada. It's safer and less congested than the US. US population is skyrocketing every day. Canada offer free medical care unlike US. Tax in US is higher compare to Canada. Canada is more welcoming for immigrants and have lenient immigration rules. You can't migrant to the US as a permanent resident without having a relation who is a citizen but Canada you can. You can be in Naija here and apply for permanent residency. Can you do that for US? Aside student visa and employment visa what else for those who do not have relations or have spouse who is a citizen? So you see? |

LifeofAirforce: "Things like us" and you're already jumping up and down like a college kid .
Na so dem dey give una format till dem fall una hand completely. You are right bro. Those are their formats. They will act emotional towards you to make you loose guard and once you loose guard they will start misbehaving. op should trust ladies at his own detriment. I don't like it when a guy act so emotional towards girls. They will surely use it against you. And I don't like acting lovey dovey towards a girl. That's a form of insecurity. Unnecessary confession of love to a girl will make her lose her interest in you and make her sees you as the boring type. Men should wise up and stop all those unquantified confession of love. That won't make her not to cheat on you if she sees another nigga that make her under wet in a minute. Girls sometimes think with their under just like guys. |

catchdwind4rmkd: Chemical Engineer is an occupation of its own, and doesn't fall under the said occupation. It's not on pro-rata and hardly ever does.
Refer to the occupation ceiling tab on the skillselect webpage to see the clear difference.

IamRaizo: She must be really naive to have been played like a piano for so long... This indicates she lacks MATURITY!
A mature person should be able to code and de-code. But the way the guy dress is a killer hence unable to code. Even in Nigeria here do girls not judge you by what you put on? Just dress fine with no one single one naira on your pocket they will automatically see you as Bill Gait isn't that awesome? Another thing I noticed again is that ladies are more receptive to listen to a guy when he dress well. |

bellong: What does this mean?
Yes, your OND counts towards the degree since it is what you used to be admitted through DE.
When a post is missed, you should either repost it or call attention to it, not throwing accusation.
Posts can be easily missed while reading through and in addition, I don't have answer to every question, that's why it is a forum free for all to answer the questions. I appreciate. |

lalaazo: Mcslize; please don't be offended I'm sure someone with the best suitable answer would tend to your question soon so as not to mislead you.
But if you on the clock; you can consult VETASSESS for document checking service for AUD$110 including GST(even though your assessing with EA).That being said:3 years degree proramme is normally rated as Engineering Technologist( The required academic qualification is an Australian 3 year bachelor of technology degree in engineering following 12 years of schooling or equivalent, source of info MSA booklet). Yes you used direct entry via diploma;which is OND and not a two year degree foundation programme. As such you are at the discretion of EA.
http://www.vetassess.com.au/skills-assessment-for-migration/skills-assessment-support/document-checking-service The Document Checking Service provides guidance to applicants and agents in meeting the documentation requirements for formal Skills Assessment applications. Ensuring your documentation is in order . Thank you. |

Can I be assessed as a professional Engineer with these qualifications?
OND = Biomedical Engineering Technology 2yrs

delvinmaya: You do not need a code for that of 9mobile. Just subscribe for your monthly data plan, and do not cancel auto renewal. Also like someone pointed out, ur APN must be 9mobile, without any proxy. I hear you get 2gb everyday to stream on YouTube between 1am to 5am But it's not throughout the month. Its limited. Only streamed 3 night and received a message that I have exhausted my free streaming data. |

prospernoah: 9mobile introduced newly that you can watch YouTube for free around 1am - 5am if you buy their monthly data plan but am still using left eye to check the Plan Lol
Hope it's not slow, has anyone used it yet?
So that I won't waste money on the 9mobile SIM am planning to Buy o.

http://networkguidenigeria.com/watch-youtube-free-9mobile-9mobile-free-youtube-streaming/ I have tried it. Normally I used to purchase my data from a data dealer who is a nairalander. I have been patronising him all these while not until my data got exhausted during weekend. Called to purchase 2GB from him and promised to deposit his money the following Monday but didn't accept the deal. So , I purchase directly from 9mobile their 1GB monthly plan. When I received the confirmation message , I was surprised to see ,You can stream YouTube from 1AM to 5AM. I thought it was another joke from 9mobile again not until I gave it a try and went through. I used it to watch complete full movies for 3 bloody nights before it gets exhausted and received a message that my free YouTube streaming data had been exhausted. All these while, they never touched my main 1GB plan. |

I am basically wondering if one can live on $1000 per month in Washington DC or NY Why not go for a cheaper State? People are even relocating from New York to smaller affordable states. I believe every US states are developed. If I were you ,I will go for either Los Angelos, California, West Virginia or any other cheaper city. |
