pocohantas: I took A Break… Good morning Kwin Poco. Hmm I dnt even know how to say this but I will say it as the spirit leads. First, I went to Udemy to take up a course or two on Customer support, I want to pay for the first 3 courses in the picture below but I will be glad to get your recommendation. Secondly, I need more..Please I need your help with the courses you have on customer support. The more I learn, the better for me. Remember, you called your friend in that field and she sent you her course, you also went to Udemy for more. My case is a bit different because, I dnt have any friends doing this. You are all I have. But I really believe you are enough. You wouldn't be mad if I called you my friend right? Great!! Thank you

GloriousGbola: i am for better or worse, biased towards thinkpads
go to jiji and type in thinkpad t480, t470 ,t570 ,t580
these are 14 inch and 15 inch thinkpads from 2017 and 2018
you want the following specs 8gb ram or more 256gb ssd or larger core i5 [core i7 STRONGLY recommended] FHD screen dedicated gpu is not needed for office applications , so integrated graphics are fine do not let anyone push windows 11. price will range from 150 to 200k, depending on seller
you will have to look well. you can also check on nairaland
there is a guy yasmin or yas, not sure - i have bought from him in the not so recent past.
Good Luck Okay. I will check it out. Thanks a lot |

GloriousGbola: so your device is using an intel b940
it is a cpu from 2011.
the general rule of thumb is that you device should not be more than 2 - 4 years old for work.
this will guarantee that it will be compatible with just about any software or tools your client requires you to use
as an aside i would personally advise you to reinstall windows 7 home. a pc with 2gb of ram will just be bogged down with win 7 ultimate
also, running 64 bit windows starts from 4gb ram. if you cannot get more ram for your pc, run 32 bit windows
these choices will just slow down an already struggling pc
this advice is for personal use
for freelancer use, i strongly advise you get a pc from 2017-2018
all the best
i know it is hard out there Glorious, can you kindly suggest the name of a good 2017 or 2018, etc PC for freelancing like customer support? Please I really need to get it right |

I am not the best person to advise you on computer specification. But I know many would most likely ask for your internet speed, external mouse and headset with microphone.
Windows 7 seems far off from 10.
Gloriousgbola would advise better. Okay. The support I'm getting here is amazing. If I Knew of nairaland before, I for don go far. Lol. Thank you once again Kwin Poco. |

pocohantas: If you are like me that was scared of learning new things on the computer, don’t worry, you will be fine.
But you can't work remotely if you are averse to technology. Technology bridges the gap. You must be ready to work with different tools. Be open to video calls for some and of course, splurge on computer accessories that makes your work easier.
Please which computer is good for me as a customer support?
My old Hp laptop is 2.00gb. The system type is 64 bit operating system.
I'm using windows7 ultimate. Will it be okay for customer support? Below is a picture

skydancer: @bigstar: you may as well ask me what I know about a mouse that disappeared from its cage. You should phrase your questions properly. Is it your wireless connection tray icon that disappeared? Or has your wireless adapter stopped working? Or you can't configure your wireless connection again? Or your computer cannot detect your wireless device? What do you mean you use broadcomm driver? Is it that your original driver stopped working and you loaded a broadcomm instead. It should work though, because compaq no longer exists. HP bought compaq about two years ago, and HP makes broadcomm drivers. Please my computer cannot detect my my phone hotspot. As in I cannot connect my phone to my PC so I can use my phones data to browse. I've tried to update the drivers in my phone with driverpack17 but it still doesn't work. Please help. I'm using windows7 64 bit. And again, when I try to check troubleshoot, it would say an unexpected error has occurred. The troubleshooting wizard can't continue. |

Programming › Re: I Want To Learn Programming. Which Language Should I Start With? by mdhustletv(m): 1:30pm On Aug 14, 2022 |
I still wonder why the powerful Actionscript is not listed.
Python. Python is a Rapid Application Development(RAD) language which lets you write complex software with less codes. It is made juicier with the arrays of available modules that makes your programming life fun, easy and exciting. As a developer, if you pick up python and dedicate say 2 weeks to learning it, You wont go back.
Python is not only addictive but also clean and organized. You can read through source codes written in python and you know what they do right a way. the syntax design is near perfect as it lets you code without thinking of ending every line with semi-colons, no dollar signs, no var, Dim or the likes. Python developers here can add theirs. I'm so interested in learning python. I'm a complete beginner. Pls where do I start? |
