shegra58:Which Yoruba dey pursue you? You pple are being smart by half. Initially, you claimed Yoruba Christians are your headache and now you claim it's Yoruba's turn. According to you, it must be Yoruba, but not Yoruba Christians, rather a Yoruba Muslim. Then among the Yoruba Muslims, it must be Emi l'okan, not someone like Raji Fasola. Can you see a deceit? The same way you see the Ibos as being bad, but are silent on the killer herdsmen who have killed, maimed, and raped your people, just because most people caught in such evilish acts share the same faith with you. When they report of the atrocities of the killer herdsmen, you become mute and your comment boxes disappear. But let it be about Ibos or IPOB or Igboho, you will jump out of your holes to rain abuses. You see hypocrisy? You are quick to attack pastors, whose church members contributed to buy private jets for thier missionary works, despite that no pastor has ever ruled the country has a president, but will turn a blind eye at the politicians that are looting billions and trillions and use the money to buy private jets and choppers and stack a lot of their loots abroad despite that we have had a number of Alhaji who ruled this country. Tafawa Balewa, Shehu Shagari, Murtala Muhammed, Mohamodu Buhari, Sanni Abacha, Ibrahim Babangida, Abdusalami Abubakar. Another hypocrisy? |
IfnobeGod20:And you think if Atiku or any other person wins, they will not favour their tribesmen more that those that are not of their tribe. You must be living in a planet called "Hallucinations" if you think so. Fact remains that OBJ is the only president in the recent Nigerian history that has favored more people of other ethnicity than those of his tribe. And OBJ is considered today a Yoruba man. Did you read what the guy said about NPA test? I've heard a similar story from a lady who once went for police test. Nigeria is where you see tribalism played out everyday, even in the corporate sector. You can't pretend as if a problem doesn't exist if you really want to solve the problem. And to solve a problem, you need to look at the root cause. That's why a lot of people say the problem of the country is foundational and has to do with the forced union that gave birth to its existence. A marriage of over 60 years that is filled with everyday rancour and fights may never work. The North continues to give birth like pigs and use their children who are always behind their southern counterparts in education to fill government ministries. They believe the ministries are meant for them and are the only place their children can thrive just because the FCT is in the North. Most ministries are cost centres, they contribute no value and have become epicenters of curruption. A lot of people there are lazy, they do nothing other than draining the scarce resources. A lot of companies, most of which are in the South, are heavily taxed whilst the tax generated is used to pay the salaries of those in the ministries that do nothing. The South is being treated like slaves that are heavily taxed to pay their masters. Can't you smell coffee? That's why you see the country being highly indebted with little or nothing to show for it. The North doesn't want to do birth control and is not ready to engage its teeming population in productive activities. That act is also contributing to banditry. SLS once warned them about the danger of thinking that federal ministries are their birth rights but they ignored and lampooned the guy. Let's see for how long they can continue to pay salaries of unproductive workers with scarce resources and borrowed funds. That is why you are where you are as a country. When the private sector is overdrained to the bliss of the unproductive public ministries, then the catastrophe will be high. I have taken time to read the arguments of both of you and I think that guy is making sense. You're also right in the aspect of Tinubu’s health and age. It's a pity. I don't envy the next president but the fact is if you are in Rome, you must do like a Roman and understand the rules of the competition. Otherwise, you may just be on your own. |
caracas:You may likely be aware of this: you sounded frustrated in this your comment and appear like someone so obsessed, bitter and about to cry. It also appears you are fearful of what will happen to your interest in Lagos should BAT becomes the president. Don't worry about tomorrow, let God handle it. Sufficient for a day is the evil thereof. |
caracas:Of course, the igbos also developed the best universities in Nigeria which are mostly in the SW while they abandoned the ones in their backyard. Lol... Comments like this will make those Yorubas who ordinarily will not like to vote BAT to have a rethink. Arrogant people are often not talked about in good ways according to the Yoruba epistemology. |
shegra58:But you don't pity the Yorubas supporting killer herdsmen? |
IfnobeGod20:Go and do your research very well. It's the importers, especially from the East, that abandoned the Eastern ports, more importantly the one in Portharcourt and not the FG. One of the reasons given for abandoning it is the relatively high cost of ships berthing there. Enugu Airport is an international one ditto for PH and Kano. Go and find out, you will discover that the Lagos airports are the only international ones in the West while the old Eastern and Northern regions have two or more international airports that the people there have abandoned. Just do a little search on google. A national daily reports on the international airport in Enugu about 3 days ago. Why are people not using Enugu international airport? Why do we have low levels of activity at PH sea and air ports? Why is everyone headed to the SW? Is it only Lagos State that has received assistance from the FG? How about the many good roads constructed in the North and other parts of the country? What about the education sector in which you have the leading universities of the country in the SW? Check the THE reports for the past five or more years. Reports had it that so many applications are often received from students from other religions wanting to attend the universitiies in the West. Why? Are the universities in the West also receiving more support and allocations from the FG than the universities in the other regions? The fact is that you can't develop a place by running away from that place. What is not used will deteriorate. This and so many other reasons are why the people of SW are displeased as they feel their region is being overrun. Apart from Lagos, go to Oyo, Ondo, Ogun and Osun and you will discover the rate at which people from other regions are trooping to those states. The question is why are people abandoning their regions in droves to run to the SW? Is it a curse or something? |
IfnobeGod20:You are not far from the truth. |
IfnobeGod20:What you know but deliberately argue against is that Lagos naturally attracts investors. That's why people of diverse races and tribes continue to troop to the metropolis. The same reason Lagos, not Calabar or Lokoja, was later made the country's capital. Kano had been a centre of trade for years too but it has never matched Lagos. It's over 30 years that the capital was moved to Abuja, I bet it that you can take the capital from Abuja today and let's see what becomes of it in the next 30 years. Ever before the creation of your FG or the 1914 amalgamation, Lagos had been the center of slave and other commodity trades. You can visit Badagry for more education. If the SW had been allowed to have their country in 1960 and Awolowo allowed to continue with the developmental projects he was carrying out in the Western Nigeria of then, Lagos would still have been developed albeit less crowded and more organized. The region would have earned more money from issuing visa and residence permits. The Nigerian system and the wave of importation business had led to the death of some companies once operating from the industrial estates built by Awolowo in Western Nigeria of then, including Ikeja which is now part of the modern-day Lagos State. Western Region had its own scholarship for the students of the region back then I think you are aware. One thing you should know is that the Yorubas have had centuries of a traditional governing system with a check and balance mechanism developed in the form similar to a parliamentary system ever before the advent of the Europeans and that had somehow helped the people of the region in organizing themselves politically. Nevertheless, other regions of the country also have resources they can really develop with. No region is bereaved of natural and other resources. |
kingamaa:I thought they said Yoruba Christians are their headache and Mathew Obasanjo is considered by them as one of those Yoruba Christians... Do not be deceived. God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sows the same shall he reap. Galatians 6:7 |
eternallyfocus:It wasn't the Northern votes alone that brought OBJ to power. The votes from SE and SS also pushed it. The Northern votes alone cannot make someone a president in Nigeria, neither can the Southern votes alone do it according to the country's constitution. You may again refer to the case of Awolowo in 1979 and the ignoble role played by Richard Akinjide as the lawyer of NPN in the way Richard helped interpret the constitution against the aspiration of the late, revered Sage. |
eternallyfocus:The North with their numbers could not make GMB the president 3 times. The constitution requires that a candidate must win 25% of votes in the 2/3 (24 out of 36) states of the Federation. It's not just about numbers. |
newnigerdelta00:You must be a christian that denies the Lord Jesus as the Word and Son of God. Lol.... |
newnigerdelta00:I will prefer my pastor who use my money to buy a jet for MISSIONARY works to politicians who loot the treasury recklessly to lead a luxury life, ride on private jets, send their children to big schools abroad, sponsor their cronies to hajj and Jerusalem for tourism, while neglecting public schools to collapse. If all the monies stolen and spent recklessly were to be channeled to education, no student would like to attend private universities. Has any pastor ever ruled Nigeria? But how many Alhajis have ruled the country? Abacha's loot is still being recovered till tomorrow. Last time I checked, Abacha, IBB and Co were Muslims who have ruled Nigeria more than their Christian counterparts. |
globalview:If men were God! |
luckyjojo:Hmmmm. But is true that Awolowo, who is much revered in the West till tomorrow, was petted with stones in the East? Just asking. |
Enceladus:No, it doesn't count. It only counts in the world of MURIC and on the issue of hijab. |
JAMO84:Like Ramon, alias hushpuppi right? Lol |
ImperialYoruba:They don't even need to see Daddy GO or visit any church. What for? Your MURIC professor has told you that Yoruba Christians are your headache. One of you said you constitute 65% of SW population and many of you have described CAN as CAN of worms, meaning Christians are the worms to you. Do you need the votes of people that will give you headache? Do you really need the votes of worms? Leave PO to make the moves he feels can make him win. |
OriOko88:That's politics for you. BAT claims MM ticket is a winning strategy. PO is also doing what can earn him victory, one of the reasons he has chosen his VP candidate well. So let's leave the politicians alone to do their thing. |
JAMO84:4 wives and 20 children that constitute bandits, terrorists, Okada rider menace, street beggars, land grabbers, agberos, etc. Congratulations! While those with one wife, two children are living fine, building schools, hospitals, establishing businesses, fulfilling a purposeful life as your many children and wives are living like parasites on them. A tour around the streets of major cities in Nigeria will convince you. And when they have created poverty and problems for themselves, they turn to blaming Christians for their woes. |
Christistruth00:Okay. |
Christistruth00:Okay. How about Onimisi and Ojowu? |
Christistruth00:Ojo Maduekwe may be from South East, but don't forget there are Deltans like the Olukumis who trace their origin to the West. Go and find out. Can you tell us the meaning of Okowa in Ibo? Okowa is from Owa, can you tell us the meaning of Owa in Ibo? Don't forget we have Enu-Owa, Owa-Obokun, etc. in the West. People bearing the names you mentioned are very likely to have affiliation with the Yorubas, either from their maternal or paternal side. Fact! What about Onimisi and Ojowu who were also mentioned as part of the suspects? While we cannot confirm the accuracy of the report for now, those names somehow have some similarities with the Yorubas. |
Christistruth00:Those that bear those names are very likely to have affiliation with Yorubas either from maternal or paternal side. |
ivolt:Go and read the news very well. Those were the names of the suspects. |
Benchilwell:The guy could have also participated in the Kuje crime after initially working on the Owo Massacre. |
ivolt:Ojo, Onimisi, Ojowu, Jimoh are names often borne by Yorubas. Check very well pls. |
gawu1:The European slave traders that invaded Africa did not shout Jehovah is Great when engaging in their enterprise. No, they never said they were in that act for Jesus. A little search on google will get you informed about the Arab-Muslim slave trade era. There is nothing like Soul transformed to Paul in the Bible. This shows that you dwell on propaganda and the lies fed you by your clerics. It's called Taqqiya to back up the concept known as "Whataboutism". Lier! If Adolf Hitler was a christian as claimed by you, why would he have killed the Jews the most? Did Hitler tell you he was fighting to Christianize Europe or the world? We were not there when, according to your lies, Soul killed Jesus but we are in the current world witnessing all the evils being pepetrared by the Mohammadans who shout Allah is Great as they enjoy the killings of pregnant women and innocent people. Deborah Samuel's case, Kaduna train attack, Owo Massacre, are among their numerous evil acts all over the world in the recent time. Aren't you people and your children ashamed as you read of all these evils being perpetrated in the name of your religion? Why is conversion from Islam an apostacy punishable by death in Islam till today? The Jihadists that invaded Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Lybya upto Turkey before they were repelled from advancing to Europe the way the Fulanis were stopped at Osogbo were what? Or you think those countries were originally Islamic countries? Let's even forget the past centuries and focus on the 21st century, can you mention the terrorist organizations we have across the world today? |
Spandau:Check the names very well. It's not an exclusively Ebira thing. Ojo, Ojowu, Onimisi, Jimoh are names often borne by Yorubas. These names sound more of Yoruba Muslims than Ebira please. |
00FFT00:Greedy man, hope what you want to avoid is not gradually happening! |
00FFT00:Disappear to where? Greedy man who is not satisfied with what God gave to him but is covetous of what belongs to another person. Greed breeds envy, envy breeds murder. This is where your greed has landed you. Forced contraption that has led to blood letting on a daily basis. Why do you always like to attach yourself to someone you hate so much? You said someone is dirty, stinking and treacherous but you always like to cunningly and beggerly attach yourself to the FELLOW. Is that a curse or what? Ingrates are usually GREEDY and ARROGANT. |
