if you're trying to create an impression that we're clueless like you, it won't work..the outrage caused by the barbarism unleashed by your compatriots in the last couple of days tells me Nigerians on this platform are more travelled and exposed than you'd ever be.. shove your little MTN story where the sun don't shine and stop peddling false narratives.
so said a Nigerian refugee in my country...

you're yet to prove anything, your claims are not recorded anywhere in Nigeria's history and Africa at large or cyberspace.
I've opened a thread for you

you can argue with them from now on...
thanks for knowing events unfolding in sA than in your own backyard...i have been reading debates and arguments since I joined this forum,I regret to inform that many of those are laughable due to the fact that all are made in the name of patriotism...by the way am not here to prove anything...a Nigerian will scream on top of his voice denying that MTN is a south African company,so who am I to convince a Nigerian.

where did you get that stupiid claim? do you know how many military rulers nigeria had after abacha before IBB finally paved way for civilian rule?
please post credible sources to support your claims and research on INEC.. IEC my left butt

you just like peddling false narrative to fill up space
1996 ...supper eagles did not participate in the afcon because Mandela was on Abacha s neck,as usual denie it

make your own research and see how south Africa boycotted the Abacha regime

2.1999 Nigerians first democratical elections ballot papers were designed and printed in SA,South African independent electoral commission were also involved in your first democratical elections, denie it...president Jonathan in his elections campaigns made a statement about this..your country imports everything from SA,south African companies are employing thousands and thousands of Nigerians in Nigeria, many are also employed by our own government as doctors and teachers here in SA,thousands and thousands of young Nigerians are studying in our universities, some are even getting bursaries at the expense of south African tax payers...swallow your empty pride and show appreciation....

Apartheid
if SA returns to apartheid...Nigeria will go back to slavery days!
Foreign Affairs › Re: Flashbacks On Nigeria Contributions Towards An Independent Xenophobic S/africa. by MduZA:
autofreak2020:
{If you are thankful, I will grant you increase}
( Ibrahim 14:7 )

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says:
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the
will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Being ingrate to God and humans is frown against in both Qur'an and bible which are two major religion in Africa.
Is Xenophobic an equivalent of thank you Nigerians for your brave moves in Commonwealth to save our country from white apartheid?

Yes, the history of our national struggles to help these SA liberate from modern white slavery pre-date my date of birth, but records are there for all to see. Nigeria helped this people in 3 successful ways, please read on.
(1) Nigeria's Murtala Muhammed -
Olusegun Obasanjo
regime, nationalized the British
Petroleum (BP) for supplying oil to
South Africa. This was at a time,
when South Africa needed
action and not just rhetorics to give
momentum to the struggle for
freedom from the white
masters. These were no mean and
easy decisions. These were
decisions that carried very
enormous political implications.
These decisions were capable of
attracting serious political, economic
and social reprisals. However, for
love for our brothers and sisters in
South Africa, Nigeria risked all, to
help South Africa gain freedom.

(2) Furthermore, to help South Africa gain
independence, Nigeria led a boycott
of the 1978 Games in protest of New
Zealand's sporting contacts with
apartheid South Africa, and 32 of 59
nations from Africa, Asia, and the
Caribbean joined a Nigeria led
boycott of the 1986 Commonwealth
Games due to the
Thatcher government's attitude
towards South African .Nigeria, a
member of the common
wealth mobilized it's diplomatic
influence, and led majority of the
common wealth countries to boycott
these common wealth games as a
show of solidarity to South Africa
and to send a message to the white
country members in the common
wealth and in the world generally,
that Nigeria will fight with it's all, to
set our brothers and sisters in
South Africa free. This was a
herculean task. The mobilisation for
this boycott, deeply tested Nigeria's
claim to leadership in Africa and
beyond. Alas, the mobilisation was
very successful. And the common
wealth games, that year, was a
sorry story. From that moment
onwards, the whole world took
notice and the struggle for the
liberation of South Africa was
immediately hyper-accelerated. And
the rest is now history.

(3) Finally, Nigeria is also reputed to
have provided secret military
training at the Kaduna first
mechanized army division and
provided other material, financial
and diplomatic support to African
National Congress guerrilla forces.
Who can quantify the millions of
dollars, that Nigeria spent on the A.
N. C. during the struggle to liberate
South Africa ?. Nigeria-SA relationship na by force?
Is this Xenophobia a thank you for our contributions to their independence?
When Nigeria do not want Ghanaians on our soil anymore, we packed their bags and luggage together and said "GHANA-MUST-GO", we refuted and discarded all justifications for brutal killings. It is not a big deal if SA feels threatened that we are taking their Jobs, but killing my people heinously does not justify their claim.
Our government must rise to their feet and do the needful, if south African want to severe ties with giant of Africa, we are ready to severe ties with MTN, DSTV and other South African conglomerates on our soil.
.............i am marveloushands....................
in return SA helped you achieve democracy, pres Mandela boycotted the Abacha regime via the UN and Common wealth...your first democratic elections were ran by South African independent electoral commission...thousands and thousands of young Nigerian students are easily absorbed by our universities, many are even getting bursaries, thanx to SAn tax payers...south African companies operating there did not force themselves into that country but president obasanjo made a request,..if Nigerians living in SA can listen and do what their leaders are saying(respect the laws of the host nations),things will be better unfortunately those who are involved in criminal activities are also fueling the hatred, the most annoying part of it is when one hears those criminals boosting about their activities..

Nope, the Nigerian society is integrated by extended family system, and people help people across extended family lines.

Even Nigerian disabled do work and earn their daily bread, most of them do. Cripples do trade, or crafts, some own shops, blind men read law with braile, some blind Nigerians use their talents, like this man Cobhams ....

We are not born lazy like South Africans tongue tongue
can I give you a list of countries that are in the same path with SA?if indeed your leaders are not failing you,it means your country can not afford...we also have many talented and hard working people with disabilities, hence our government have a social grant program for those people...as much as you guys claim to work hard,it is apparent that the economic harsh conditions of your country compel every person to hustle...

There are Nigerian doctors, nurses, school teachers, engineers, bankers, traders, and spaza shop owners in South Africa.

Those other low class labourers that you ridicule are hard working human beigns who do not feed fat on government cash gifts like lazy parasites.....the BIBLE SAYS : HE THAT WILL NOT WORK, LET HIM NOT EAT !

Universities? How many South Africans go to university? Your Soweto rug-rats have not even completed secondary school grin grin

The cost of running South African universities is paid for largely by the dollar fees charged on foreign students from all over Africa.

Your nation CANNOT survive without other Africans helping your lazy men, able bodied lazy men, born to be parasites like tape-worm taenia saginata grin grin
.
so according to you only foreigners are studying at south African universities, you are ill informed mate...south African universities existed before even our boarders were opened for people from other African countries, you should appreciate that south Africa is shaping the future of Africa....i hav been hearing about this futile boosting about Nigerian doctors and engineers in SA...they are there in the Uk and US,does that mean the British and Americans are uneducated...?

by government cash handouts you mean

1:child support grant for poor children aged 1 to 18
2.old age people(60 years and above
3.disabilities grant
4.foster care grant (for orphans

these are services any poor Nigerian would really want to get from your federal government ....

Of course there are far more illegal immigrants in US, the UK, Canada and other western countries than you have in SA, yes they work illegally. You are counting number of crimes allegedly committed by foreigners in SA, how about South Africans committing crimes in foreign countries?
You were and still living as a second class citizens in your own country but were helpless until the rest of the world intervened to give you independent including those Africans you now see as 'foreigners'. You accepted the white and made peace with them, the same people who killed and slaved you, were they not taking your jobs, land and freedom then? Now you turned against people who fought and die with you to give you freedom and sense of identity.

I lived and studied in Zimbabwe and then many of us faced the same hatred, Zimbabweans blamed Nigerians for all sorts of crimes, forced many Nigerians to close their businesses and relocate to SA, now where is Zimbabwe?
so you were even chased out of Zimbabwe, surely there is something wrong with you guys unfortunately you don't want to admit it...lets talk about south Africans living in Nigeria, are they involved in all illegal activities you countrymen men are doing here?south Africans fought hard for their country, this country is what it is because of the blood of our people..Nigeria never sent a single soldier to fight for us..your mercenaries were nowhere to be found while your leaders were playing hide and seek via United Nations...again you should, appreciate the fact that majority of south Africans are against the attacks...the day on which the majority says Nigerians should leave, you will run away from your home whenever you see a south African on tv...

That is the case everywhere including the UK, US, Canada, China etc, but you don't see them going after foreigners...killing and looting their properties. Those cheap foreign labourers are contributing to your system and reducing the cost of goods, many create their own employment and invest into South African system.

Funny enough Mugabe and some Zimbawean crying out now were doing the same to white farmers and other foreign owned businesses some years ago, then white farmers who were the driving force behind ZImbabwean economy left and the economy collapsed, ZImbabweans were jumping fences to claim asylum in SA. The land they were fighting for is there now wasting. Commercial white farmers are gone but Zimbawean can't use the same land to produce their own food.

Those uneducated barbaric South Africans have a very short memories.
hence those foreigners in the US are in that country legally, are not doing criminal activities and for doing those jobs they don't call Americans lazy...the people we are talking about are not bringing anything to our economy,in stead we are sharing our limited resources with them, can you tell me one country having over 6 illegal immigrants?only SA...here is something to digest

our former heavy weight boxer was shot and killed by illegal immigrants in Pretoria 2 yrs ago

our well known reggae musician was shot and killed by foreigners

1 month ago foreigners were caught on the National television camera robbing a presenter

killers of our senior national foot ball team are untraceable....

i know you and your fellow country men dont want to hear this, xenophobia in SA does nt come out from the blues, you must be grateful that majority of south Africans are against these attacks..

employers are employing foreigners because
1.they are cheap laborers
2.labour relations act does not apply

You need to tell yourself bitter truth your government is a failure just like the Nigerian government .
