If I must adjust my methods, I will. If I must change my friends, I will. If must go hungry or make some sacrifices, I will. What are the challenges you face and how are you able to overcome this pitfalls?

My challenges so far is making plans work out, and don’t have the financial strength. ‘I sold one of my saxophones so as to Kick start the project and also had to invite like minds to the team so that we can make it a reality’ he said.

What is the best part of your work?

“The best part is when it works! There are times when the client may not share the same experience; hence, the journey to customer satisfaction is usually a journey.”

I did a lot of free jobs when I was starting out. Prior to founding Pick me up. This opportunity mostly come from family and friends; and this may sound counter-intuitive as it may be argued that family and friends are expected to support your hustle. From my experience, this is not usually the case. Rather, they will be the referrer for the next big job or project. What’s your education background (mention all school and institutions)

I attended Grace Group of schools, iperu where I got my first school leaving certificate. Later went to mayflower school ikenne, where I had my senior school leaving certificate. I am a graduate of the Premier University of Education, TASUED where I studied accounting.

How did you generate money to start your business?

I did not. We are a bunch of friends with a common passion — to push the limits of what we are able to do today. Maybe it’s luck, but me and my co-founders somehow connects and started working because it was challenging.

What surprises did you encounter in starting your business?

Friendship sometimes get in the way of your best judgment. When running a startup with friends, it’s usually not expected that your co-founder friend (s) will become your source of worry. Manning up to your friend is very hard; what’s even harder is when you friend becomes a stumbling block. The rule of thumb is to Hire Slow and Fire Fast, it’s easier said than done though. Somehow, as a founder, you will become more confident at doing this.

How did you find the best people to be part of your business team?

You don’t find them. Be the best at what you do and you’ll attract the best persons to yourself. Somehow, you will meet them. Referrals don’t always turn out fine as “quality skill” is relative; what a referrer considers “best talent” may not be a fit for you.

How well has your business performed in the past and how well is your business currently doing?

We operate in Ogun and Lagos for the moment and will be moving our operations to Abuja and Warri.

What advice would you offer to upcoming young , potential entrepreneurs in your industry?

If it hasn’t been done before, go and do it. If it has been done before, you are even luckier; innovate and commercialize it. The best time to start is now and mistakes are inevitable. But you will learn from them and they will make you stronger. Remember that what does not destroy you makes you stronger.
