The Minister of state for Foreign Affairs, Khadija Ibrahim, has resigned her appointment. She tendered her resignation letter today January 9th. Accoding to Khadija who is the wife to Senator and former Governor of Yobe State, Bukar Abba-Ibrahim, she resigned to contest in the February 16th House of Representatives election in Yobe.



Khadija contested against and defeated her son-in law, Mohammed Bukar-Ibrahim, to pick the ticket of the All Progressives Congress in October 2018 during the state APC primaries.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Princewill Dike, has defended the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, over viral audio tapes of him criticising President Muhammadu Buhari.


Reno Omokri, an ex-presidential aide on new media, on Sunday, released a full audio recording of Amaechi referring to President Muhammadu Buhari as an ignoramus who neither takes advice nor reads to acquire information.

The viral audio has since stirred controversies from opposition parties as they called on Amaechi to step down as Director-General of Buhari’s campaign.


Commenting on the audio, Dike, in a statement made available to newsmen on Monday in Port harcourt, described the audio tapes making the rounds as doctored.

He said that since the ouster of the Jonathan administration in 2015, beneficiaries of that administration have not forgiven Amaechi, who is seen as the arrowhead of their defeat.

Dike added that Amaechi is loyal, has integrity and therefore has no reason to run down President Muhammadu Buhari.


He said: “Amaechi is one of the few ministers who have unrestrained access to the president and his ears. You can see that he has no reason to run down his beloved boss behind the scene.

“Amaechi is a man of iron cast integrity and thus double standard is not in his gene, a man of rare courage, what he can’t say before you, he won’t say it behind you.

“The enemies have failed woefully with their doctored voice of Amaechi. If you believe that cloned voice, you will as well believe their propaganda that Jubril is a cloned Buhari.”

Meanwhile, another audio clip of Amaechi, Director-General of President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign organisation, has leaked with the embattled Minister of Transportation heard describing Lagos as a ‘glorified village’.

The audio tape was released by Phrank Shaibu, an aide of Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to the trending audio clip, Amaechi said there was very little infrastructure in Lagos, especially water and roads, while lamenting the spate of traffic jams in the state.

The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has described the statement made by the Minister of Transportation and Director-General of President Muhammadu Buhari Campaign Organization, Rotimi Amaechi on the state of the nation as courageous.

Atiku, in a statement yesterday by his Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, urged Amaechi to resign his appointment and return to the PDP.

Atiku decried what he called the shabby treatment of Amaechi for speaking truth to power in a leaked audio tape which led to his “being made a ceremonial Director General of the president’s re-election campaign organization.

“We dare say that the cold war between the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mr. Rotimi Amaechi as well as the statements credited to the latter in a leaked tape which led to the appointment of Tinubu to take charge of the campaigns are at the least a national embarrassment to the nation. Amaechi must now resign and return home to the PDP where he belongs.””


In the audio clips allegedly made out of an informal interaction Amaechi had with journalists covering his ministry, the minister was quoted to have said: “Apart from Abuja, check anywhere else that has infrastructure…Lagos is a glorified village…the only difference between Lagos and other cities is that fact that our business is in Lagos and when our people are doing business they can always have food. If not, what do you have in Lagos?… “

Atiku said the sentiments expressed by Amaechi in the leaked audios were in tandem with those of the PDP and the Nigerian public to the effect that Nigerians were hungry and need a to be rescued from “a clueless All Progressives Congress administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

‘‘I have said it several times that the APC and the government it controls at the centre are clueless, confused and totally incapable of piloting the affairs of this nation. Is there any better evidence of this cluelessness than what Nigerians are witnessing now?

‘‘It does not matter how much the President tries to engage in damage control over what has led him to make Rotimi Amaechi take the back seat even as the Director General of his re-election campaign or the evil silence by the President and the APC over Amaechi’s shocking comments that reflect the thinking in the highest echelon of the Buhari administration, that the president’s incompetence was behind the slow pace of progress the nation was making.”

An elder statesman and Chairman of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Board of Trustees, Balarabe Musa has said there were only two types of people that are not corrupt in Nigeria.

According to him, the whole system of governance in Nigeria is corrupt, which made it very difficult to identify individuals that are not corrupt across the country.


Balarabe Musa made the comment i‎n Kaduna while reacting to the comment made by President Muhammadu Buhari about the corrupt system in the country.

“In fact, the whole system is corrupt, Nobody knows who is not corrupt in Nigeria,” he said. “The only two people that are not corrupt in Nigeria are those who have no access to corruption and those, who by their nature, will rather die than to be corrupt but this constitute less than 00.1 percent of Nigerians.


“So, the corrupt people are either corrupt knowingly or unknowingly, intentionally or unintentionally or somehow.”

The elder statesman further explained that those who prefer to die than to be corrupt were very small in number in the country.

“These are negligible few in Nigeria and since the system is made up of corrupt people who always like to steal either knowingly or unknowingly, you expect all sorts of things to happen in Nigeria. We are only surviving like animals in the forest,” he said.

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has appealed to the wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aisha to name the powerful persons who have hijacked the current Federal Government.


Atiku said Aisha should identify the powerful people so Nigerians can either beg them or fight to liberate the President and the country from them.

He spoke through his campaign’s spokesperson, Segun Showunmi, while addressing journalists in Abeokuta, Ogun State yesterday.


He claimed that Buhari doesn’t know “how to fight corruption” even though he had determination to do it.

Showunmi said Atiku had the capacity to fight corruption in a sustainable manner more than the president.

He said, “I want to beg Her Excellency, Dr. Aisha Buhari, to shatter the glass ceiling and mention those two people that have hijacked our president so that we can either go to beg them or we fight them and liberate the president of Nigeria from their stranglehold.


“Maybe in the remaining couple of months that he has, he will be able to be the Buhari that people wanted him to be.

“We want to know them so that we can write their names in the black book of history that they were the ones that destroyed the Buhari presidency.”

A controversial pastor has stepped down from his position as the leader of Agape For All Nations Church following allegations that he had sex with his married daughter.

Walter Masocha, a UK-based Zimbabwean pastor, was once in the news for allegations of sexually molesting his members. Now, he has allegedly taken his crimes closer to home.



According to UK-based writer Jean Gasho, Walter Masocha was exposed after his son-in-law allegedly discovered explicit messages and nude pictures that his wife had been allegedly sending to her own father.



He then took this incriminating evidence to his mother-in-law, Judith. Judith is reported to have confronted the pastor and he allegedly confessed to having had an incestuous relationship with his daughter. Judith is now reported to be divorcing her pastor husband for having sex with his child.



In a statement, one of the leaders of the church, Francis Aturia said that Masocha was stepping down due to a “serious moral fall”.

Sadly, as a result, we would like to inform you all that Dr.Walter Masocha has with immediate effect taken leave of absence in order to deal with a serious moral fall which he has informed his family, the Board of Trustees and the Commissioners.

He is broken hearted and distraught at the result of the misdemeanours and feels that he is not fit to continue as Spiritual Leader of Agape.

This has come as a significant shock and blow to Dr Judith and the family, and no doubt to many Agape children and other people worldwide.

A full investigation will be conducted in due time, and the appropriate disciplinary action shall be taken.

Many on hearing this will be deeply shocked and disturbed by such a disappointing revelation. We implore you to remember most especially, his gracious wife, Dr Judith and consider a Christ-like response to all who are involved at every level of the church family.

We would like to kindly ask you to remember him and his family in your prayers. In view of the fact that he is on leave from his official role, we would like to ask you all at this time to avoid contacting him. We also urge you to avoid contacting Dr Judith and the family in respect of their privacy at this difficult time.

At this time, we encourage prayer fuelled with loving action to support one another and keep our focus on our Lord Jesus Christ who by His Holy Spirit is the only one that will enable the current tragedy to be worked out ultimately for His own glory somehow, sometime.
