And they foolishly believed that cunny man. Who calls of strike if not ASUU?
I guess there's going to be a last minute action on calling off the strike. The minister of Education said it's this week, let's see how it goes.

lezan:
If I am the sitting government with all the parameters available I will not want ASUU strike to be called off...cause presently the government does not have a favorable chance among the youths which constitutes majority of university students. I’ll prefer them to be home with their parents away from their voters registration center. That way they can be disenfranchised cause I don’t see any parent allowing his or her child to leave their custody when ASUU is on strike most especially that the elections are around the corner. This way the population of the youths is inconsequential and can’t be factored into this present election.

My verdict is that many youths want change of government but they are already disenfranchised before the election began.

The present situation still favors the present government of the day though they can’t be entirely blamed for the problem of the education sector.
Shalom
Though we can't dispute the fact that student staying at home may likewise have their polling unit at home and not in school.
Education › Will The ASUU Strike That Have Kept Youth Out Of School Affect Election Outcome? by Medley(op): 5:13pm On Feb 02, 2019
The election is just in two weeks and the youth that form a major population of registered voters with PVC have been at home since last year with no clear sign of the strike being called off.

I was thinking that the ASUU strike would have been called off months ago, but to my amazement - even in this election period that the government in power will want to block all leakages that may lead to votes being lost to other candidates, but No! The ASUU strike is still on with no end in sight.

MY VERDICT

The strike will not affect the election at any level, even the government knows this - if not ASUU demands would have been met by all means possible.

Votes in Nigeria are seldom base on performance or achievement. A major population that will be voting will still vote for their candidate base on the usual pattern, we are yet to advance as a nation to detest bad governance and vote in protest.

What's your VERDICT, will this ASUU strike determine the result of the election. Will it make the incumbent lose votes to other candidates?

This politicians have strategist and are advised on the line of actions to take. They know Nigerians mostly vote on religious and ethnic affiliations and only a small percentage look out for intelligent and eloquent people. It won't change a thing.

If Atiku attends and Buhari fails to attend, those guys left are good public speakers. In the midst of Fela Durotoye, Oby Ezekwesili and Donald Duke, Atiku will hardly stand out and trust the APC that failed to attend to publish on all newspapers the next day their perception and some sarcasm.

With what have been shown by Buhari in the programme - the candidate, that alone is still fresh in the minds of Nigerians and will be the last of what the perception about him will be, before the elections. The PDP and Atiku knows this, and they are the winner here.

Majority of those that will determine the elections, don't know what a bad economy is, and we have more in a certain zone.
Politics › Will Todays Debate & Presidential Candidate Who Participate Determine Your Vote by Medley(op): 11:45am On Jan 19, 2019
Just got the information that the PDP presidential aspirants, in a new publication, have made the decision that of the presidential candidate of the APC - president Muhammed Buhari refuses to attend todays debate the Former Vice president, Atiku Abubakar will also not be attending.

Further, they quoted the statement of Professor Itse Sagay, that the president will not debate all other candidates that they are political dwarfs, when compared to Muhammed Buhari, this to the PDP is an abberation that won't be taken for granted.

This statement alone in saner climes if spoken by an incumbent automatically means he is not ready for governance. All of a sudden some Nigerians are saying that the PDP candidate never had any plan of attending the debate - though the past weeks several communications from the Atiku Campaign team and the PDP have made it clear that they are ready to attend the debate.

What then is the need for attending the debate when the Major candidate is not going to be there, the same party that refused participation, will use the policies discussed by others the next day, and declare that it's all lies.

Whether we like it or not, the PDP and the APC are the major contenders, that they will be any surprises time will tell.

It's Mediocrity, when you support that your candidate won't attend and you make it compulsory for others to attend, so that you can look for their mistakes and errors.

But Amaechi only said the truth. President M. Buhari does not read what the masses are saying, he is fighting corruption.
Politics › Amaechi's Utterances On PMB Is Not An Insult-A Portrayal of His leadership Style by Medley(op):
Yesterday, Social media sphere got another headline to get busy with and forget the myriad of issues confronting our nation, with the release of a clip not up to 30 Seconds, about an utterance of the Minister of transportation and APC campaign Director General - Rotimi Amaechi.

Some said it's a petty campaign gimmicks by the PDP bandied by Reno Omokri, others are saying it's not an insult on the person of the president, another group have also asserted that it's not an insult to say the least.

As for me and others who still understand that they are different theories of leadership style that leaders portray - I believe that the words spoken by Amaechi is the summary of the style of leadership that the incumbent president of Nigeria is known for and it isn't changing any time soon.

No wonder no Nigerian came out to protest the removal of subsidy by the Government of President M. Buhari - As Amaechi put it - He doesn't read and wouldn't listen. Nigerians have since moved on and are willing to vote him for another term.

No wonder he doesn't have any record of holding a presidential chat with the people he leads no matter the happenings or situation at hand - as Ameachi put it - He doesn't read and wouldn't listen.

That's his leadership style and they are Nigerians that love him for this - So the election is for Nigerians to consider the leadership style of every candidate and vote according to what kind of leader they want.

President M. Buhari is ready to go the extra mile for making decisions that are crucial to him as a means of saving the Nation from Looters, but he wouldn't listen to suggestions from well meaning Nigerians - He doesn't read and wouldn't listen, as Ameachi put it

Politics › Reasons Nigerians Voted Out The Last Govt. But Making Excuses For This Govt. by Medley(op): 8:53am On Nov 24, 2018
I could remember happenings leading up to the 2015 elections that people saw anyone trying to vote in the Goodluck Jonathan's govt. As the enemy of the state for the insecurity of lives and corruption.

It's now 2019, what have changed? Is Bokoharam now defeated, they've been technically defeated and are still killing the Nigerian army, funds were said to be siphoned in the last regime has it changed now? The last regime was open that we could see reports on the front page of Nigerian papers on any attack by terrorists organisations, but now it's a crime.

Is corruption now a thing of the past? Are government agencies and parastatals no longer stealing money?

I want us to be sincere, this questions goes to those that used all this as a campaign tool during the last administration as the reason why the last government shouldn't be allowed another term, why then do this government deserve another term?

This reasons will be greatly appreciated because I want to know if this reasons supersedes what we are ovbserving and the current happenings.

If you used all the current ills happening in our country to campaign against the last government and you want to vote in this government, what is the basis of your support now, what have changed?

The President visted Lagos on the 29th of March, 2018 for this project that was lauded as a great feat, but here we are as a state, the terminal has scaffold allover and it's currently being renovated.

What was the purpose of the commissioning or launching in the first place? why has it not benefited the masses till date? Why can't our government carryout project that it's impact will be immediately felt by the masses that have been long yearning for dividends of tax payment and good governance?

This was the picture that was taken today. No wonder every government needs 8 years to govern before their achievement will be seen - it's all because of their failure of going after the right project that is needed at the right time and with the required resources available.

The lady must have crosschecked your name with what is on the ATM to the account you have with the bank. This doesn't take time nah but alas she don't then the lady must be a foolish one.
What I am implying is that the Lady should have atleast issued me a form where my signature will be verified with what I have in my records and if it's not, my request for change of password should've been rejected.

Anybody can walk in with a stolen ATM and request for a PIN change, if the process is just to put in a new password immediately. Also, the name of the account holder is always written on the ATM.

Business › Terrible Process Of Changing ATM PIN In A Top Bank That Can Be Used By Scammers by Medley(op): 9:13pm On Aug 25, 2018
I would've named the branch and bank but people may see it as a negative marketing strategy being adopted by the other leading top banks.

It was on friday, I had to do a withdrawal using my ATM but because I just got the ATM and I haven't done any withdrawal with the ATM, I have since forgotten the PIN I adopted after it was issued to me.

I thought it was going to be a tedious process - considering the security factor attached to changing a PIN, to my amusement, I spoke to the lady that attends to such issues, she just told me to bring forth the ATM and she inserted it on a particular POS(looks like it) and she asked me to put the new PIN even without me filling any form or showing that I own the ATM or atleast my signature to confirm if I own the account, because it's very possible that anyone can snatch someone's ATM and request for it to be changed. In three minute the PIN was changed and I made the withdrawal with the ATM using the new password.

Is this the norm in other banks? Is it that the lady forget the procedure or she was not well informed? All what I am clamouring for is that if this is the processe it's veru wrong and should be looked into ASAP by all banks.

Romance › Re: Why Are Nigerians Scared Of Marrying A More Successful Lady? Can You Marry One? by Medley(op): 8:18am On Mar 10, 2017
alexialin:
Op your assumptions there are so wrong. Successful ladies are not ready to be walked all over on. Neither are they ready to hand over all their properties, cars and monies to average guys wooing them for marriage.
Some guys out there are simply diamond diggers. Not even gold. They start stylishly to possess all her worldly possessions in an orderly manner. If shes dumvb and desperate for marriage. She will end up transferring all she had worked for to the average guy. At the end the guy true colors pops up after some few years.
We've seen it happen before, no be today.
So because such guys cannot walk all over a successful lady they start saying bad things about ladies.
And who tells u, successful don't receive marriage proposals.??
They receive marriage proposals wella! But the ladies are juts been careful. Not to fall in the wrong hands.
Marriage no be boyfriend and girlfriend. It's a different serious ball game.
We like to be partners and companions to. Our men.. Not slaves or women to be trampled on because we wan marry.
No woman who has worked hard to where she is now and earned something good for herself will accept such role in marriage.
That's why u see a lot of single successful ladies out there.
Marriage is not by force.. Especially if it will give one unrest? Then make marriage wait first.
Did you really read the content of this post or the headings?

Romance › Why Are Nigerians Scared Of Marrying A More Successful Lady? Can You Marry One? by Medley(op): 2:49pm On Mar 05, 2017
Why Are Nigerians scared of marrying a more successful lady? Can you marry one?
Can you marry a more successful lady? Is there any condition attached?

Its baffles me when I see a very successful lady in her late thirties still in the league of singles and searching (even leading on the league table with a wide margin of point) with almost no date or proposal forthcoming. Based on my observation I think it’s more prevalent in our society and I begin to wonder if it’s a crime for a lady to be successful or dare to be.

IT’S BECAUSE OF THE ILLITERACY LEVEL OF OUR MEN

I could remember a conversion I had with a successful Nigerian man who is having a great career in the banking industry, in our discourse he told me without mincing words that he can never marry a lady that is more successful than he is even the lady is his last option, and I was like (perhaps this guy has married one in the world before if there is anything like that) so it’s not a case of the illiteracy level in our society because he is a chartered accountant and almost rounding up his second Masters degree.
Some men back their believe in a lie that men are naturally meant to be the head of the house so in any situation that the woman is wealthier or more famous that the marriage will never work because it means that they are two captains in the ship.

IT’S BECAUSE MOST WEALTHY LADIES ARE NOT READY TO DATE AN AVERAGE GUY

Though this assertion may want to seem true because of what we are meant to believe that at every point in time in our life time we always want to look up instead of looking down for the things we want. The very successful rich lady if you confides in her will tell you that she is ready to accept a guy that may not be wealthy but he should at least have a career he is pursuing or want to pursue but she will tell you that she hasn’t seen any forthcoming.

THEY ARE NEVER SUBMISSIVE AND WILL NEVER BE WELL TAKEN CARE OF

You find out that people that have not tried an endeavour or a venture tends to give you a thousand and one reasons why it will fail when compared to those that actually try. You can’t tell me that every successful lady have this attribute and that’s the major reason why they remain unmarried. The best gift is not a function of the price but a function of what it means to the receiver. Even a bracelet that is not expensive but was given in connection to what matters to a lady will forever remain the best gift she has received.

So what’s the problem? Why is it that the very successful ladies in our society remain unmarried?
What’s the condition that will make you marry a very successful lady? Someone once told me that she must not be the type that will be leaving for business meetings week in week out and must be ready to do what every wife do at home when it comes to house chores and… what’s yours if there’s any
