The fashion craze has taken this generation to an unprecedented height of moral crumble, that people now 'bed-walk'(i call it bed-walk because, the clothe will be suitable for the bedroom or other room) daily on the street. Nowadays, compliment have graduated from you look beautiful in this your red gown to, you are very sexy in this your braless gown, I love your see-through gown you've got a nice hip and great body. Tufiakwa!!! Iranu!!!. the migration is now from beautiful to sexy. ladies don't want to look beautiful again, but sexy and yet some will complain that most men only see them has a sex symbol. I was on a bus from church yesterday after a long prayer session and the pastor has declared a favour-filled week, and here comes this lady that just entered this same bus seated in front of me, as my eyes behold her trouser, I saw everything-what else will be remaining when i could see the colour of the g-strings. Quickly, I remembered that this Girl has come to spoil my answered prayers. I wanted to be a good Samaritan, perhaps bring the revelation of her unmentionable to her knowledge but another admonition entered my mind that she might have wanted people to see, after-all she knew her clothe was very short and never bothered to drag them. In Future I may be faced with this kind of scenario(hope you reading this won't be this person) and I would like to bring the situation to the lady's knowledge. should I go ahead, or should it be may day!, may day!!, avert, mission compromised. have you told a lady before that her undergarment are revealing, how well was it taken /understood? As I always say, you are free to do whatever you want with your body, but make sure It doesn't make you become the person someone with high moral standard will avoid looking at - like a village shrine or an inspiration to those who crave for immortality. medley me |

Sugar coating? You said Most Nigerians are into blogging to make money. Show me a Nigerian that is into blogging without that in mind, stop bringing that up. You can distinguish the features and advantages without calling people silly. |
The Lagos State Government has denounced the purported restriction of movement announced in Itire on Sunday night as part of traditional rites on the demise of Onitire of Itire, Oba Lateef Abayomi Akanbi Dauda, describing it as act of illegality. According to a statement issued on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tunji Bello, the State Government condemned the action of declaring a curfew without due consultation with the State Government before making the statement public. He added that no individual or group has the right to infringe on the rights of citizens to freedom of movement and association as enshrined in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He noted that the State Government is alive to its core responsibilities of protecting the citizens and is collaborating with security agencies to put in place measures that will guarantee safety of lives and property of its citizens in every part of the state. The statement added, “While the state government commiserates with the royal family, Onitire Chieftaincy Family Council and the entire people of Itire over the demise of the monarch and highly revered our tradition and customs, it would not condone any act that tends to infringe on the right of its citizens which it has sworn to protect.” “The Lagos State Government is saddened by the demise of our ever-supportive Oba, but wish to assure that government will not fold its arms and allow a few individual or group of people to deny citizens of their right to movement or commune anywhere around the state.” He added that the State Government was collaborating with security agencies and assures that arrangements have been made to guide against any molestation and harassment by anybody or group. Lagos residents are assured of their safety and are advised to go about their normal duties without harassment and molestation. Source: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/09/lagos-denounces-purported-restriction-movement-itire/ It has always been the norm in society/communities in Nigeria to be put in great fear and unrestiveness when a royal head dies and in most cases they are subjected to curfew which in all ramification is averse to democracy we say we practice. Culture and tradition must not and/or should not interfere with the life of others or affect their source of income or endanger their lives and well-being. People in this environs have been subjected to unwanton pain and fear of their lives because of purported need to sacrifice lives for what i don't know of. Nigeria have to stop this - life and property and source of livelihood of any individual should not be tampered with because of the death of any individual. The security forces on ground should ensure they allay the fears of residents who are still in doubt due to the 6am-6pm curfew earlier announced to last for 9 days. The denouncement a good move by lagos state govt. |
Real change - Buhari to reduce presidential jet. |
The caprice to inundate the Nigerian masses with news to occupy their minds and divert their attention away from their current challenges is looking like the intelligence of the masses is fiddled upon, and the masses don't deserve this at this point in time. Today, at the launching of the change begin with me campaign, the president said-''before you ask, 'where is the change they promised us?' you must first ask,'' How far have i changed my ways? What have i done to be part of the change for the greater good. My questions are - were these conditions told Nigerians during the electioneering and campaigning periods? I'm not saying Nigerians shouldn't change their ways-we all should, what then happens to the Nigerians with good standards & behaviour, are they going to suffer because of other Nigerians that will/may not change their ways and for how long till they experience the change promised. I for example try my best at keeping good behaviour(stay in queue till it get to my turn in ATM stands, have returned lost items severally-sometimes money, pay my tax etc.). Other nations have their challenging behaviours and that doesn't stop their campaign promises they hope to see come to fruition, why should the bad behaviour of some affect all? The change with me campaign is a good one that will lay a good foundation for our great nation, but it shouldn't be a condition for some/all promises to be fulfilled. Let's be bold and decisive to change some part of our constitution and other immunity privilege, that allows leaders the prerogative to syphon wealth, we can't pay workers and yet, our legislators have one of the world's biggest salary package. Majority of Nigerians i ask if they voted the current government, they mostly say no, and i ask myself, where they all given visa's to go out of the country after the election because a candidate won? When things begin to look great, the answer will be different. This behaviour is not good if we are noble people. |
banki:I don't support violence in anyway- by actions or words, i would rather allow mosquito bite me than kill it. Lol. Read my post again, you would see i talked about some causes and while sometimes it can be politically influenced-this particular cause is my concern. |
Noblecx:change is the only constant thing, remember we are in the change government. |
I believe in miracles |
Click like if you think there will be an outright/clear winner without another election. Click share if it will be inconclusive and another poll will decide the winner. |
The current INEC under the chairmanship of prof. Mahmod Yakubu, has been finding it difficult to conduct any election without haven to announce that it's inconclusive - hardly have we seen a decisive/outright/clear winner, without the need for another poll. This have made some Nigerians reframe the INEC to mean Independent non-conclusive election commission. Do you think we can get it right this time, is it really a case of electoral crimes or offences, or is it political. |
It's an information for admission seekers, not for space bookers |
Following the new government regulation on admission and post-UTME. Universities have stopped post-UTME and in most cases those that require the physical presence of students for screening ask questions that have little or nothing to do with their UTME subject requirement. Applicant are scored and weighted based on their grades in O'level and their UTME scores. Those with a sitting have more scores than those with two sittings. Though some universities don't allow two sittings in some courses and if at all it is as allowed, the scores are always very poor. This is what you must do if you want to increase your chances of gaining admission into the university following the aforementioned guidelines Since those that did not pass their O'level in flying colours are not given another chance of proving themselves through post-UTME. You may have to consider re-writing your O'level this year or next and make sure you make A's and B's, C's will not help you out considering the number of applicants you are competing with. And since JAMB UTME is a one time opportunity you must put in all your effort to score perhaps, 220 and above. Remember, OAU and other schools have stopped physical screening-applicants are asked to upload their result online, many other schools to follow up on this next year because it's cheap and easy to conduct and applicant will still pay screening fee. Finally, your documents submitted such as your birth certificate and others should bear your full name correctly, since you will not be there to explain any error found. My one kobo |
all but one thing shall surely Roth away. in saner climes, years to come, this hotel will be government income earner. |
Defending party! Finding it difficult to move on from campaigning. PDP is outta power over a year now, every problem arising should be owned up on.Sometime i find it difficult to believe we have a finance minister. APC talked about diversifying the economy, if they have been a robust plan and incentive say for oil palm plantation, maize, cassava, rice, and no interest loan many unemployed would have even gone into agriculture, but no! We are looking for oil in zuma rock. |
UNIPORT, Umidike and others have released their post UTME form and we have a governemnt that declared it's cancellation. They are still discussing on the modalities. What a joke! |
Can you imagaine River state University of science and technology just announced the registration for their post-UTME though this time subtly called 'screening test' and applicants asked pay 7,000 Naira. Thought it has been scrapped? Let's watch and see what the govt. Will do |
Drdonzeez:I think he was trying to be seen doing something to add to his achievement. This will surely bring back corruption in admission process! |
OAU Public relations officer just announced that they won't conduct p-UTME, does that mean there aren't gonna screen their applicants? |
It's no longer news that the government has stopped tertiary institutions from organizing P-UTME for students that wish to seek for admission in their institution. Inasmuch as there are a lots of merits to this decision which include and perhaps not limited to the fact that students' who want to seek admission will no longer spend on exhorbitant fees charged by this various institutions that ranges from 2500-10000(Nigerian Naira) and the hassles and stress of travelling to sometimes very far places to write their exams-which is another cost on it's own and the burdening task of applicants looking for how to be accommodated. I think the cancellation was hurriedly made by the government and should have been announced before JAMB conducted this years UTME. This are my corroborating points: 1. The Government is Tongue Twisting on The decision to fully scrap P-UTME The Public Relations officer of the Nigerian Universities Commission, Ibrahim Yakasai, as an addendum said the institutions can go along with screening of candidates who wish to be admitted but shouldn't conduct post-UTME. I then ask myself what other meaning is screening?! Do you expect the institution to use their resources to screen students while On the other hand JAMB which is set up by law have already done a screening of which student paid 5000-6000(to register), and what medium will this screening be done? are they going to wirte the answers on the board for the student and how many days will this take?. considering how the screening was done before the advent of P-UTME-some schools tell student to go to their various department applied for and in some instance they are asked 3-5 oral questions that may be logic, general knowledge or P-UTME Subject combinations. Will this be a fair or standard way to select the best? what if the question asked are the areas the applicant is not too good at but has excellent grade on other subject? are we doing experimental probability on the future of our youths. What the scrapping of p-UTME should be seen to be is that the cut-off mark of the departments will be announced and after the submission of the supporting document, the list of admitted candidates announced. 2.The Institutions are yet to announce their cut-off mark for each department and i'm sure(80% chance) that when they do, they will be protest by applicants. The institutions before now will allow for people with scores above 180 or 200 to right their post-UTME(though they do this to make money) but most times some of the people with the not-so-high come with lots of fight and even do far better than those that scored very high in JAMB and when the average of JAMB and P-UTME are added they get admission sometimes on merit(probably may be they were not well graded in the first place by JAMB or they were tested on the wrong subject combination-may be by programming error). 3. The Institutions Were not informed of the decision of the government to do away with P-UTME as seen in the case of Ekiti state University that announced their P-UTME and cancelled it after the announcement of the stoppage of conducting P-UTME by the government. what this imply is that there was a communication gap with the major stakeholders and this is not a good approach of making decisions on issues of national importance. I am not speaking in support of the institutions but they ought to have been informed and it shouldn't have been the other way round of them hearing it when the minister was being interviewed. Majority of the institutions have invested a large sum of their internally generated revenue in buying more computers and other installations so that student can write CBT based Exams(Which they most times do better than JAMB). 4. JAMB should ensure that they provide more exam centers so that student will not be faced with the hassles of traveling too far because center to write the UTME in their closest location is filled to capacity. also, JAMB should make sure student are well tested and graded which can make the result written against any name free from wrong score allocation or poor marking due to errors. if all this is put to place then the result of the student stand alone for the admission process. This years UTME Exams cannot be said to have met this specification, if next year(2016/2017) could be worked upon then we can reach the points were p-UTME Can be cancelled and everybody is happy. 5. The process of registering for p-UTME has made the announcement of admitted candidate by various institutions very fast. Most of the candidate know the school cut-off mark after writing their p-UTME and this has reduced corruption in that regards. The fact that applicants also fill bio-data form and upload their supporting document has also made admission process faster. written by me. This is my opinion, what's yours? |
I think so far the payment of salaries before 25th of every month has been duly followed(though not for all federal govt. Employees and sometimes some days after 25th) |
Yeah we were told that going forward salaries of government workers will be paid on or before 25th of every month by the change government. For curiosity sake and to confirm if it wasn't the usual promise just to make a mockery of Nigerians. If you've been paid, please share. We need to make government keep to their words. |
LordDecency:I have taken the next available flight! Let it remain confidential, before i enter wahala |
LordDecency:Guess you have more to say about mama segun... |
Dan42:what's your contribution? You missed first to comment. Lalasticlala , do the needful, if it's front page worthy. |
1. He/she played a part in what i am, Today! Yeah dear friend, you should show gratitude, you don't want to make him/her feel those resources lavished, invested on you wasn't appreciated and you are going ingratiating about it. But wait, they are lot of other ways you can show gratitude. It must not be marriage, cos it means every time you see the dawn of the day, It's another thank you. It's forever, ask yourself his he/she the one, irreplacable half. Marriage is too sensitive to be used as a thank you package. 2. He/she was my first! First love, first date, first soul mate. Psychologically, the first event or occurence of a thing always have this unending & lasting memory - sometimes nostalgic. He/she may be your first, but don't push it for her to be your last. Surely everyone want Interesting story to tell about their spouse. Yes! She is my first and i married her sounds good in a cinderella movie, but not always in real life. 3. He/she is very Industrious, hardworking and provides all i want. Sure, sure, sure! Who wouldn't want a man that pays the bills and a lady that supports in every little way possible. What you should be more watchful about in marriage is the one that family comes first. Unless, you will only see your faces only in the morning, because one of the spouses always enters when everyone is fast asleep. please don't complain that you can't remember the last time you ate food cooked by her. Or that he don't satisfy you any longer. Just feel satisfied taking selfie with the latest iphone and make sure you show case that givenchy bag of $10,000 - it's called consolation price. 4. Love don't cost a thing, we love each other. Love shouldn't cost a thing, why must material thing be considered before i can say yes to the man i love. But watch it, you may be the first to complain when it's no longer two of you - children are now involved. Ensure you are saying yes because he is always ready To get that job or become an entrepreneur. 5. Our religious leader said so! God pass message through someone, yes i know so. But he will not leave us uninformed, no one has the monopoly. Don't jump into marriage for that reason, what are the fact on ground, will he/she be ready to stay for better for worse.(if for worse still exist in this age) 6. My age! What if no one else come asking? Nowadays, Your age is the last thing to consider, when you can be married today and you are single tomorrow. People aren't ready to make things work, they want it to be always rosy. Unless, you want to be temporarily married, wait till you are sure, remember this is Africa, were many don't want a divorcee. 7. He/she will change when we get married Yes, you can change him/her, He/she can even decide to stop that habbit. But when? Are you ready to wait? It's probabilistic, you don't gamble in making decision about marriage. It can be dangerous. Gamblers, are always aware that you will give up something for another one big thing that's not promised. What are you ready to give up. Be very careful to observe that he/she is not just in love with the physical attraction you both have for your bodies, curves... Because when you are in marriage the body may not be that way forever, and it's not going to always be two of you in bed. What you should love, should be eternal and never fading Compiled by me. Have i missed any? Add yours |
Donfaray:long time no see! You must be the guy that we studied the friendship 210 together. That course was very tough! |
PHINAS2016:look at what you typed - you said she asked you. Isn't that consent. But try as much as possible to avoid pre-marital sex. |
Immarocks:like seriously, is this a true life story? The pastor must have been soaked in shame! |
HARDDON:one may not necessarily experience bad ordeal before giving out advice. If you read through the piece, you would see that i talked about understanding the stage both partners are in the relationship. You also brought up understanding signs as married men and women, have you heard of a woman/man saying he/she was raped by the other? In this thread we are talking of unmarried partners. I don't even support sex outside marriage. |
MarieSucre:yup! Have gotten the update. |
oshaosha2014:I get your point. We all are opinionated and we should do that without smear campaigns. Just be careful with reading signs and gestures. |
