For me, what made me stop was that I looked at my life and said to myself enough of this rubbish, it's time to start facing the realities of life. Right there, I just found my "WHY". So if anybody wants to stop any habit, you just need to find your own " WHY".

Help me thank God. Throughout the month of August I did not masturbate, and I'm not going back to it.

After 10 years (a decade) and some few months of masturbating all through my life every month, I was able to abstain completely in August. I tried my best in July but I masturbated twice that particular month. Below is one of the thing that helped my in the month of August to stay far away from masturbation.

If you want to quit the habit do it.

Smoking weed is one of the thing that help me to quit masturbation.
It has been a long time. Have been so busy with a lot of things and smoking weed is one. I think smoking weed also help me to get my mind off masturbation.

Whenever I burn some blunt, I seem to forget masturbation. But I'm trying to reduce the cushing because of the health effect in the future or presently. Weed help me to ruminate on other things. "Smokers are liable to die young." This particular quote has been hunting me for a while so I want to quit entirely or I'll smoke occassionally. Anything that have advantage also have disadvantage.
