Multi TV digital services has been extended beyond West Africa, the digital signals is now available in parts of Southern, Eastern and Central Africa including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, Chad, Tanzania, Uganda, Namibia, Zambia and Malawi. Multi TV digital TV service had a frequency change due to satellite upgrade and this has affected most of their consumers especially consumers using the set top box (STB) " Strong Decoder".

If the upgrade has affected your strong decoder from receiving the digital signals, Follow the steps below to rescan your Strong decoder and continue to enjoy Multi digital TV for Free.

To rescan your set top box "Strong decoder" to the frequency number, you have to manually input the new Frequency Number (12522) and and rescan your set top box (Strong Decoder) in order to receive continued services on the frequency.

Press menu – press on the right volume button
Select password 0000
Scroll down to manual scan
Press ok on manual scan
Press red button to select the satellite name ASTRA3A/3B
Press the green button to add TP list
Type in 12522 in the frequency
Scroll down
Select symbol rate 27000
Select the right button change to vertical

What is Digital TV and how does it work?

Digital television mean digital television broadcasting. Digital television broadcasting can use different platforms: cable, satellite or terrestrial. Each platform uses different transmission system. How can we receive digital signals? We need a digital receiver, either integrated in the TV set or a standalone set-top-box connected to the old TV set.

Digital Terrestrial Television – excellent quality with conventional antenna. DTT is an implementation of digital technology. Digital Terrestrial Television, sometimes also abbreviated DTT is Digital Television (DTV). DTV uses digital transmission to broadcast audio and video.

Digital Television provides a greater number of channels with quality picture and sound, using aerial broadcasts to a conventional antenna (or aerial) instead of a satellite dish or cable connection. A satellite is not used for any part of the link between the broadcaster and the end user.

Digital Television provides a clearer picture and superior sound quality when compared to analog TV, with less interference; it offers far more channels, thus providing the viewer with a greater variety of programs to choose from. DTV can be viewed on digital TV sets and analog TV sets e.g Startimes LCD – DTV, LED – DTV,CRT – DTV, with Startimes digital TV sets you don't need any set top box( decoder) to receive Startimes TV digital signals.
