Lobeez:
This is just a another smoke screen, Amaechi will be cleared and asked to take a bow; anybody believing this telemundo movie is just as dumb as a rock
hey, taking a bow is very different from confirmation.
Lie Mohd was asked to take a bow day before yesterday, but you saw what happened during his confirmation yesterday.
Don't think because they allowed Lie Mohd confirmation yesterday to go hitch-free despite the Nays were louder that it will happen to Amaechi. They will call for division and allow each senator vote on paper.
That's if Amaechi even makes it to the floor to address them.
Remember that Senate wanted to give former National Assembly members and governors accelerated hearing. All have been confirmed but Amaechi.
Remember that the senate committee did public hearing for Amaechi and Amina Mohd. But surprisingly, Amina's report was ready and she has been cleared, but Amaechi's own is still hanging.

Politics › Re: BREAKING: Senate Moves To Disqualify Amaechi by meforyou1(m): 5:22pm On Oct 15, 2015
We all know amaechi looted Rivers money for Buhari's campaign, but can't but Buhari look for a less controversial Rivers man for minister? And settle Amaechi quietly

Any senator that is dissatisfied with the Senate President's decision can call for a division.

In the old days this meant that the senators in support of the motion will sit at one end of the chamber while those against will sit at the other end (hence the word division) and the clerk will count them to determine if the ayes or the nays have it.

In modern times this is done electronically. There's an electronic voting machine and "scoreboard" in the chamber.

Electronic voting is only used when there's a division or when they are amending the constitution.
not exactly. PDP and APC members are supposed to sit differently, but now the mix, which is a good thing.
As for the voice vote, only when the senators feel the Senate President didn't get it right, they will call for division. If there's electronic voting, every senator will vote electronically during the time allowed, but if not, every senator will be made to vote on paper and the votes counted.
In Lie Mohd's case, I believe there was an agreement already already to pass the nominees that's why opposition didn't oppose.

Keep quiet please!

You people should leave your village and attend more seminars, listen to more public speakers and stop this 'hypes.'

How can a man of 52 years find it difficult to answer simple questions pertaining to his area of specialization and experience? What baffles me is some of you attended universities where some 30-something year old Lecturers tutor you all on difficult subjects.

Please remind me again, what has Fashola said that Senator Ben Bruce can't discuss even better? What has Madam Aminat said that Senator Stella Oduah won't discuss even better? Have your nominees said anything Maupe Ogun of Channels TV won't discuss even better? Who among them can transform this nation better than "Sam Adeyemi", a public speaker if the criteria were to be comportment, statistical and business intelligence?

You had better find something good to do. If you must school anyone, beg your nominees to tutor your PRESIDENT who's somewhat clueless of certain and key sectors of the Nigerian business.

Thank you.
most of those ministerial nominees can't stand the Channels Tv Morning breakfast programme crew, especially Maope Ogun
