I am disappointed, I was realy looking forward to WFA proper as a Record Label, its a shame they parted ways


When Ikechukwu was signed to Storm Records, he formed a gang with Naeto C and his (Ikechukwu) brother – Uzi calling themselves World Famous Academy (WFA). Since his departure from Storm, Naeto C has backed out so he (Naeto C) said in a recent interview. Read excerpt below:

What is the current state of the clique, ‘World Famous Academy’, that you formed with Ikechukwu?

World Famous Academy is Ikechukwu’s record label now. That is what he is pushing now, we are still brothers and he is still a part of my life but World Famous Academy is for him now. I’m not focusing on that anymore. The thing about it is that I can’t say I’m completely out of World Famous Academy; it’s like saying we are not friends anymore because when we started it, it wasn’t started as a label but as a kind of brotherhood. But now, it is his label and I’ll be the wrong person to ask what he is doing with it.

What was your reaction when you heard he left Storm Records?

I was a little disappointed because he didn’t tell me and I had to find out in the newspapers first.

Like I said ealier, RM F'd up posting their fone convo online, but if I am in a situation like the one he was, I will do the same thing, most of the blame should go to 9ice for not coming out to clear the air. Those people supporting 9ice, if he happens to be their own blood brother, they'll will not egg him on to a fruitless attempt, If 9ice think he is going to gain more fans with this, I am sorry the reverse is the case here, becuase most of his fans are actualy disgusted with his attitude (except those that are looking for his downfall)

9ice is not nice at all, if he respect and value his rel'ship with RM, he would have come out to clear the air as soon as he heard the rumour. Last year, there were rumours that Tuface sang "Only Me" becuase of Mikel and blah blah blah, he is not even that close to Mikel, he came out and told everybody that he did not sing the song becuase of Mikel, I even read it on papers and 9ice is not even up to 2baba's level, yet he claims he dont have time to clear anything, calling his fans silly people till today he's not been able to tell us if its true that RM slept with his wife or its just a business stragegy. He claimed he does not have time, but he's been able to compose diss song and even shoot a video for it.

When RM posted the fone convo online, I was expecting 9ice to come out and tell us, yes RM slept with my wife, he did not say anything about it at all, till today, all I hear is "bas.sta.rd, bas.sta.rd, bas.sta.rd", bas.sta.rd" talk I am listening childish. . . . 9ice should come out tell us if RM slept with his wife or not and stop beating about the bush, or is that he dont know what to say? RC invited RM for their wetin dey program, and Wale pow pow pow said, he called 9ice to come on the program to give his own side of the story, but 9ice is shying away, why?

Heavily armed men suspected to be kidnappers, yesterday night, invaded the Agbani Road, Enugu State home of top actor/comedian, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu and abducted his wife and three children.

The abductors who came in a BMW car later released two of his children, a boy and girl, but were still holding the wife and one of the sons as at the time of filing this report. Daily Sun gathered that the kidnappers who immediately opened a communication line with the popular entertainer’s family were demanding a N50 million ransom before those currently being held captive would regain their freedom.

Confirming the ugly incident, devastated Mr. Ibu from Nkanu, Enugu State, who spoke via phone, condemned the act and pleaded with the kidnappers to immediately release his wife and son without any further delay. “I was at an event yesterday in Enugu when I got a call that my wife and children had been kidnapped by some heavily armed youths. I was also told the abductors came to my house in a BMW car and started trailing my family members since morning.

They later released two of my children, a boy and girl, but are still holding my wife and one of my sons. They are demanding N50 million ransom. Where on earth will I get such a huge amount from? God in heaven knows I do not have such amount of money anywhere in this world,” lamented the star of several Nollywood films, in an emotion-laden voice.

Crestfallen Mr. Ibu, who equally told Daily Sun the abduction was immediately reported at the Enugu State Police Command, went further to blame some politicians, whom he accused of arming innocent, frustrated and jobless youths with dangerous weapons, because of their greed for power.

“If you ask me to comment more on this incessant issue of kidnapping, I will blame it on desperate politicians who are the ones arming these jobless youths. My family and friends are praying that God should touch the hearts of these kidnappers so that they can release my wife and son immediately without any harm or ransom. I also want to thank the Enugu Police Command; they have been of immense help since the kidnap took place.”

Hilarious Ibu, one of the leading names in the nation’s motion picture industry, joined Nollywood as a production hand, before hitting it big as a comic star. He’s well-travelled with over 100 hit films to his credit, among them the blockbuster comedy, Mr. Ibu. Also reacting, top Nollywood Director/Producer, Mr. Theodore Anyanji, condemned the act in its entirety and urged the kidnappers to immediately set free, “an innocent mother and her hapless son.”

But, this 9ice and RM issue, look at the bolded part, RM did not say he writes lyrics for 9ice. Lets use this as an example, somebody graduated 10 years ago and till now cant find a job, trecking all the streets in Lagos looking for a job, even if na 5k own, and all of a sudden, somebody from no were came and took that person from his misery and gave him a good job that will fetch him 500k a month, so, its left for the person to elevate himself and gain promotion in the company to earn money, how he goes or come from work is no longer your business, and if at the end the person became successful, you can rightly say, you contributed to his success, some will say in other words, they made that person what he is. Even though I dont favor RM coming out to tell the whole world what he did for 9ice, but everything he said is TRUE! I know you love 9ice, but make we dey try talk truth. Yar'Adua died halfway, but OBJ can boldly say he made him president, if somebody introduced you to a big position at Aso Rock, that person will eventualy be your godfather, infact, just look at what is going on in nigeria political office today
