Seriously, the "Eze Ndi Igbo" thing is a scam. From the report, it was even the Deji that made him Eze. What a perfidy. In Igbo home land, these people are not recognised. Their reign ends in whichever diaspora settlement they are in, and obviously, they serve not Igbo interest. Rather personal ego and interest. What happened should be an eye opener and I expect Ohaneze Ndi Igbo to issue a clear statement abolishing the abominable arrangement. |
Only NTA and AIT? Crap. The entire north maltreated Gej during the 2015 election campaigns. He was not allowed to campaign in the entire north. |
APC handiwork!!!! Question to ask -how many can read and write in that village? This is even better stated in Arabic if any impact is intended.Bros, we are sinking very low in this fight. Quote me anywhere. |
Another Igbo to manage finance? No, no! Not again! Please, for all Igbos, if you don't want to be blamed (yet again), no igbo person should near that portfolio. This is an Hausa/Fulani/Youruba government. They should please find one of their own. For the past 10 years or about, it has been Igbos managing finance and economy. I pray this journalistic prediction does not come true. Amen! |
He said the truth. Politics (&corruption) winning so far. Change losing |
No nominee yet. That cannot therefore be the final list. |

Tinubu really going ga ga this time. Has attacked two former colleagues in a spate of 24 hours -Fmr Govs Saraki and noe Kalu. Someone find out whats biting him. |
I forgot. Now APC goons, go on. Attack me. |
The APC goons should please admit it. For someone who won a popular election and upstaged an incumbent administration, Buhari has lost every respect of the international community because very poor handling of key issues. Nigeria has become even a bigger laughing stock outside the shores of the country. The only people still hoping endlessly for redemption and a turnaround that will never come are the APC goons and e-warriors abundant in Nairaland, Facebook and other social media. Advice: Both PDP and APC should please look towards 2019 and present the best candidates. This way, Nigerians will avoid the crises of choice as in the last election whereby, according to CNN's Chriatiana Amapour, Nigeria's 2015 presidential election was between a failed president and a former dictator. The repair of Nigeria will commence only from 2019. From now until then, it is prayers and only prayers. Baba GMB cannot give what he doesn't have. Sad, he had been sold to us as the fix-all, incorruptible messiah but, his body language and appointments so far have clearly shown that nothernisation is a better goal that nationalism. |
The pictures don't look anything like a an insurgents' camp. Rather, a typical village setting. Please, what about those dane guns? Please someone please tell these aimless fools to stop sacking innocent villages from their homes and creating more IDP crisis. |

APC, a party of confused people — Kogi PDP spokesman October 08, 2015 at 1:33 am in News, Politics The Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Kogi State, Prince Bode Ogunmola has carpeted Prince Audu for accusing the PDP of being behind the N11 billion scandal that has dominated political discourse in the state over the last two weeks. Reacting to reports by Audu’s campaign organization that PDP was the brain behind the story, Ogunmola asked the APC to put its house in order and look inwards for scapegoats. “Their claim that we are launching propaganda against Prince Abubakar Audu is untrue and a ranting of a confused party. Their chairman, who was alleged to have made the statement is not a member of our party. Kogi people know the truth. “To us in PDP, the forthcoming governorship election is about issues, it is about the celebration of a governor who has achieved so much. We are concerned about telling Kogi people what Wada has done over the past three and a half years and what they should expect from him in the next four years. Audu is our regular customer. We have been beating him since 2003 and we hope to repeat it again on November 21 with the support of Kogi people”. A former Governor of Kaduna state, Malam Balarabe Musa, says he is disappointed at President Muhammadu Buhari’s ministerial list arguing that that there is nothing spectacular about the names. According to him, “why did it take the President four months to come up with these names? I believe this is the question that many informed Nigerians should ask. “These are the same old names, ordinary Nigerians who the President knows and he must have even met them several times. So, what is particular about them that he wasted so much time in appointing them ministers. “But there are about two or three who I can say are distinguished among them like, Audu Ogbeh who I have known for a very long time. We were together during the Second Republic. “He was a minister while I was governor then. Audu Ogbeh has an outstanding public record that everybody knows.” The Senate President, Bukola Saraki announced to the Senators 21 ministerial nominees. They were contained in the list forwarded to him last week Wednesday, September 30 by President Muhammadu Buhari. The nominees are, Abubakar Malami (SAN): Abdurahman Bello Dambazzau; Aisha Jumai Al Hassan; Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Babatunde Raji Fashola; Adebayo Shittu; Solomon Dalong; Senator Chris Ngige; Rotimi Amaechi; and Chief Audu Ogbeh. Others are, Mrs. Amina Ibrahim; Dr. Osagie Ehaneri; Emmanuel Kachukwu; Dr. Kayode Fayemi; Eng. Suleiman Adamu; Mrs. Kemi Adeosun; Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu; Hon. Ahmed Musa Bello; Ibrahim Usman Jubrin; Senator Hadi Serika; Senator Udo Udoma. Senate President Saraki opened the sealed envelope at 10:45am. According to him, the President sent the list to him through the Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, adding that the list contained the first batch of nominees. Senator Saraki who disclosed that the Senate would commence screening, tuesday 13, said that President Buhari had told him that subsequent names would come shortly. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/ministerial-list-i-am-disappointed-says-balarabe-musa/ |
tinsel:But former president Jonathan has no camp as of today, please! The man has played his part and gone. He is gone! --History! Let the man rest in peace jare |
Please, who are Jonathanians? The governance and leadership of Nigeria, the most populous black nation and largest country in Africa has been entrusted to General Buhari and his party, APC. So, why look back, invoking the memories of a past leader, who has played his own role and gone? APC and GMB, please move us forward and stop looking back. Unless, of course, you want us to believe you are afraid you will not reach the nor surpass the achievements of the past administration. That's the only justification. Please, election is over and you have won. Please give us security, jobs and address corruption -your campaign promises. I won't mention health, education and justice because those are clearly not in the mention. Make us join the league of nations as a strong player, not a non-serious one. |
CharlesPhc:yes o! |
otil1:Gosh, what a coinage! Below the belt |
centje:Centje, I am ready to provide flesh on the thoughts on rural, but please don't take me to be governor. It will delve us to the hypothetical fringe. I am just me and together with you, we can face the next Commissioner for Rural Development ans say, why not try this. And it will really be nice and to proper credit to say, the inspiration came from a discussion thread on Nairaland. So if it is ok, I do a little more, but feel free to say shaaaraaaaap Mej!!! I don't know why I annoy people here, even when I put on my best behaviour. |
spyder880:Ideas come from other people's views, experiences and knowledge. Remember what you have here is like text book. There is nothing I have put here that is not practical. I have not put forward Newton's law fro us to debate. You are making me change my mind about so many things. How can this thread be about Enugu the pride of the East and we have no ideas to share, even if copied from text book? When did we start fighing against text books. You were kind enough to go snap my alma mata, but you hate to read, to exchange ideas, just photo photo. anyi aga ata photo Now forget entirely what I posted about anything and share with me what we should do to make jobs available. To get our rural communities to begin to thrive. Or in fact anything for growing us -you and I. I am happy to read from you. |
You ought to know that UNN is the first University in Nigeria and it was built by proceeds of Agriculture. Forget that rubbish about government leaving it for the people and buying and riding range rover sports with their women folk. We need to have enterprise estates, industries, agricultural assets like irrigation. Check out Thailand. Why are they world no.1 in rice? I canot re-establish the marketing board, I can't recapitalise Enugu Marketing company. Read: In the book “Iroko from Sapling: The History of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Nigeria, Nsukka” by Prof S.O.C. Ugwu et al., it was noted thus: “In early 1960, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Eastern Region instructed the Eastern Regional Marketing Board to transfer the sum of GBP£2,500,000 to the Provisional Council (of the University) to enable it fulfill its numerous financial commitments to the University. This sum had accumulated after an earlier directive by the Ministry of Agriculture to the Board to set aside GBP£500,000 annually from 1955 for the take-off of the University” Convert that money and multiply it by 6 and tell me what that is in today's monetary value. |
spyder880:Onye amgi ibe ezi ya. In the defunct Esatern Region, the successes in agriculture was not really because government was directly farming. It was things like the produce boards and the opening of farm settlements |
spyder880:Please feel free to steal as much as you want. My goal is better society for you and I. Steal away bros. But Spyder, you can now see the paradox in your personality. You are happy to go all round to share pictures but you won't share ideas. Is this not why our medicine and local technology has not progressed. Once we learn something, we want to hide it, but we are here because we are literate, have imbibed western education (I'm sure you don't support boko haram). Literary expose is the foundation of western civilisation. For someone here saying I read from text books, where will the ideas and inspirations come from? Pls read, all of us lets read. there is that old saying that if you want to hide a secret from a black man, put it in a book. We have to read people. Again Spyder, I regret to say but you need to realise that your posts are going world over. It is no joke. Unless you aim is to run us all down as slowpokes. macadamised thoroughfare should be taken for granted. There is really nothing to see except a road that is like a road and many that make one wonder. For instance, why would you show Ibagwa housing estate overgrown by weeds? Over seven years since commissioning, it is still sparsely occupied, a dangerous place for the few inhabitants -reptiles, robbers. You are doing a good job ok. Don't get me wrong, but a good sense of measure is required |
rafindo:I thank you Rafindo. All I can say is that the Lord is our strength. |
spyder880:Sir, I have guided you about blanket statements. I am passionate about catfish farming. I have a fish farm. I was part of the last YouWin and to the Glory of God, My wife and I are expecting payment into Access Bank Account. I don't know what is causing the delay. I am praying hard. |
A-agriculture and agro-products: Nobody can stop us: I will start with oil palm. Okpara excelled in it, what has changed? Nothing (Malaysia happening today). Every community government (CG) with free communal land for palm will be helped with credit (seedlings, machines initial recurrent costs) to set up palm plantations. Give three years gestation and Enugu Marketing Company will buy up all the CGs have to offer to market or export (and get back credit given to CGs). 3 large regional Oil Mills, one per senatorial district and 1 vegetable oil refinery (at least). Jim did Nachi. CGs use proceeds to run their govt and support more ventures. This model applies equally to other cash crops like cashew (Oghe, Ezimo, Ogbede, umulumgbe, etc.) or forestry of fast-growth trees for making of particle boards. Biko nu. These are now low tech items and the machines are in China begging to be taken. A lot can also be fabricated locally. Ask me later what we can do with fresh vegetables and spices export (daily) via the AIA. Bros, we are blessed ![]() B.-other industries: construction materials –laterite +furnace=burnt brick, limestone (Amaechi Idodo)+gypsum=cement, clay (Awha)+sand+bonding furnace=ceramic tiles, plates. C. Coal and power =worry no more, but we must take our destiny in our hands. Same with gas (ugwuoba). Float/promote Enugu Exploration Company (EEC) (for coal and for gas), put N1billion (we burn more than that on trivia like buying PDP electoral panel for congress). Promote Enugu Coal Company (EPC) and a separate Enugu Coal IPP (ECI) What does it take for ENSG to secure prospecting license? Cup of tea in Aso Rock, finish. A note on privatisation: I agree government has no business running business. But governments all over the world promote businesses. So ENSG will run neither EEC, EPC nor ECI. Technical management service arrangement put in place with technical partners until ENSG is bought out via privatisation. How do we privatise (exit strategy). At inception, register company as an SPV (special purpose vehicle) keeping 51% holding in bundle for sale later, 10% as govt direct stake held via MOFI and 39% warehouse and later to be sold to the public (ndi Enugu) openly. As concessions are secured, value of company grows and initial investment to start operation become easier to raise. Then divest 51%. (This move is enough to recover all funds spent on promotion, front-end engineering design and pre-operation). Through it into another green field venture. Like that, like that and like that. Where will the seed finance come from: Yea yea. First, what attracts investors is return-risk relationship. They key is viability. Once a venture is viable and will yield good returns, investment is guaranteed. Almost all new ventures world over are by leverage(project-specific funds), so far the venture can pay itself. 1. Let’s say Enugu industrialisation 7-year bond shelf offer of say N20billion –cash (shout not. If we can take N18billion from Commercial Bank to fight political war, in fact it should be triple that sum). 2. Equipment credit (EXIM) by OEMs of 30-40% 3. Direct allocation of N12billion (sourced over 3years at N300m monthly invested in sinking fund) 4. Direct investment of general public (as specified above -39%) Total =N120bn pool for industrailisation of Enugu State over 120,000jobs Give and take, 7years and all debt stock will be liquidated and we have a new economy, a new IGR base of N18bn per annum from PAYE alone. It is hard work, but it is doable. |
Economy: Not magic –just be productive, produce, produce and produce Preamble: Since pre-historic days till today, more successful societies have always known for their productivity. What do you produce? Per capita income, gross domestic product (GDP), gross national income (GNI), are all measures of productivity of a society or nation. Productivity has a positive correlation with development (and of course prestige in the comity of nations) Enugu, what do you produce? A coal city state without coal, what do you produce? Buyers and consumers of water (Eva, nestle purelife, Swan) even water melon (egwusi), lettuce and cabbage from ugwu awusa dumped on you, creating jobs for them. Ndi ugwu ekpolu efi roaming everywhere for our domot and destroying our crops in farms. They know all our backyard and caves more than you and I. You think they will go buy force? Have a ranch in every LGA and they will lose market and go. Artesian water in Oji in a belt to Mgbagbu Owa requires no pumping, jus flowing out on its own forever, with high pressure. Best water in the world at 9th mile. Can we crash price of bottled drinking water all around, ship to Lagos, Ibadan, Port Harcourt, Aba and Abuja, even if at no profit, our people are working. Water bottling is low tech, isn’t it, haba. |
spyder880:ok guys, I am ready on economy of Enugu< still A-B-C Just b4, there is a reason I will want us to switch a little from road, road road, even the ones by Feds attracted by Sen Ayogu as Senate Committe Chair on Works. But fine, its is all part of the beautiful Enugu. Guys. it is in no doubt that we wait, receive and spend handouts because no a robust economy. We are very exposed now, due to falling oil prices. Now take an analogy of a fine boy no pimple who works not and only spends money sent to him by his younger brother in distant overseas. After receiving this money (hand out), he buys best cloths, perfumes and shows off on the streets expecting praises but I am surer that he will receive scorn instead. Lets begin to talk about us and the future. Lets begin to equip ourselves for the future. Lets prepare to engage leadership. It was once a common parlance that the waawa man is laid back. Tufiakwa! Not in my own generation. Spyder, try and be more than a man with a hand on a camera, biko nu. Ana m anyo uno, ok. |
spyder880:Nwoke a apugokwa na gear ![]() |
Bishop42:Bishop, your schematic is adopted. My position is: we can have it better. All I wish to submit here must be specific. I chased an interloper away from here on account of generalisation. So I won't fall victim. Spyder sir, I will really have a lot to share with you. But clearly, pictures of tarred road is good, but as you will have noticed, debate is better and (intelligent) debate is the best. Fine. I need to remove my work cloth -soaked. Nsogbu adiroo. If fear they catch bele, e for dey back |
InyinyaAgbaOku:AgbaOku, fear not. O bu nwoke na ibenya Mej is is here now. I owe on economy and centje wants detailing of rural devt |
yes, I am here. ![]() Where did we end it? |
This is even better stated in Arabic if any impact is intended.
