Politics / Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by mej67: 10:35am On Dec 06, 2014 |
Unemadu: Why do you always miss the point? Unemad! Unemad! Abuja is not Enugu nor Lagos nor Ekiti. Abuja is the centre of the federation. A federation is made up of federating units. It is a federation of the federating units. Our federation is made up of States. They are the ones that should have their economy, you bozo. Who gave you that phone or laptop? Or have you been smoking something, Unemad?! In proper fiscal federalism, Enugu's revenue will be retained and a littlle portion sent to the centre. That was how we started in the days of the regions. It was the greed of the Housa/Fulani that led to over centralisation making the federal look like the action point. Ordinary motor park touts (pigs by Spyder880) have it all arranged. The NURTW Ibadan branch has the resources. Enugu, Ekiti , etc. They retain their park collection dues and make remittances (small proportion) of their proceeds to NURTW national headquarters. That Office at the centre needs do nothing but appropriate what is remitted from the fringes (the federating units) Let me tell you why you are a complete washout, not deserving of a biafran name: 1. "U talk of oil windfall. Let me ask u. How much is Enugu state budget?" Enugu State budget can be as large as we want it to be. It is small today because the bozos whom you serve and work with have no idea of how to grow local economy which is the recipe for higher IGR. If our IGR is N1tr, Enugu State budget will be N1tr plus what comes from Abuja. 2. "Our biggest natural resource we cannot touch." I take it to mean coal, right? Why can't you touch it? Play by the rules of the land, onukwu! Anambra floated an Oil Company, not only got allocation of oil well right in the State but also got approval fro refinery. Are you there? Float a power plat, request for rights to your coal, dig it up yourself and sell power to fed government. How does that sound? Probably, you won't comprehend, cos you only know govt is working when a paver is moving up down your street pouring dust on you. Meanwhile, meanwhile, who tells you coal is Enugu's biggest resources?? Our rich agricultural land is, buffoon. Price of crude oil is crashing (instigated by USA), but price of PKO (perm kernel oil) is on the rise on international market. It take local indigenous technology to harness Palm oil and PKO. Google Malaysia right now and tell me what you see. Plam fuits taken from your papa's palm is what they have used to grow. Summary, there is something called mass hypnotism. It is the cause of your jaundiced perseption and I won't lie to you. It is a difficult disease to cure. Ignorance and illiteracy are easier because its like starting from zero. Someone with that disease is like starting from minu 50, depending on how deep it is rooted. Unemad, you lack grey matter and you are in advanced stage of that disease. Is any of these Chimes or Chimas fault? |

Unemad, I am also mindful of the great news that the effort of current government to beautify Enugu City centre has yielded the desired result: https://www.nairaland.com/2031155/enugu-makes-history-joins-worlds. Enugu Makes History, Joins World’s 100 Resilient Cities Bravo! Quite an honour and reward fro our small Enugu. The Prestige is Good. Put in context, please see where it really lands us "The other three African cities that made the list alongside the Coal City of Enugu are Kigali (Rwanda), Accra (Ghana) and Arusha (Tanzania)". Tell me if these are the cities you plan to relocate to soon with your family. Before long, everybody will be jollificating that Enugu joins global league. Africans are notorious for not knowing when the whiteman throws an insult at him. He even laugh louder and more excitedly. Sub-Saharan Africa is cursed because of attitude of its leaders -ego, misplacement of priorities. No selflessness, no service, no interest in their people. Let's come home. Bros, Enugu has now seen the brightest seven years of its recent history (since it chose to depend on crude oil), and the windfall was spend painting and paving Enugu City centre. What else, Unemad Now, this is the true test of depth. Oputara okpogho ole? Gbupu aso biko! What a waste of opportunity. How does that elitist crest on the head gear of Enugu regime improve the condition of ordinary Enuguites, especially the over60% of 3.7miilion left the languish in the hinterlands that lacks basic amenities. Its all rubbish. Let me engage you in a small exercise: -make a listing of the top 5 issue facing an Enugu man and lets compare notes. Then we come back to see what what has been done by Chime government has done in addressing those issues. Don't run away pls |

Unemadu: No I am not. Truly. I am for progress true. I am against deceit and that is where we usually have a departure. Can you imagine Spyder880 admiting here that even though major thoroughfares are paved, and street lights cum traffic lights effizzy, that same government condons horrible attrocities. That is how shallow what they are doing is. It is not for you, it is not for me. It is the contracts that is the no.1 motive. Rural development is hard work. Agriculture take a long time. Supply and installation of traffic light in every door step is quick cash. Awarding contract to Arab and collecting cool 12.5% kickback is great deal (meanwhile they over-invoice by 80% -dunces in power.). That's it Unemad. How will spit out sweet and succulent beat put in his mouth? Of course, I wish for true progress. That is why I am complaining 1 Like |

You tell me things are working and such examples as you have stated above are being meted on poor hapless souls in Enugu by commissioned agents of government. Didn't ESWAMA staff kill a little innocent boy the other day for heloping him mum to throw away refuse? And we are flying |

spyder880: How much training was given to those hungry local council converted just-yesterday-thugs? Abuja uses more traffic wardens than any city in Nigeria. Truth: fanciful traffic light is luxury for Enugu State where nothing happens economically except money from Abuja. Its not your Agriculture, its not industry, just civl service -administration. spyder880: If the brain was attached to the head, those are jobs being taking away and food snatched from families. If the aim was to control traffic at every intersect in Enugu city, our current state of economy would have directed us to employ hands -a special squad of roads marshals paid minimally N19- N30,000 permonth. Right now, apart from initial capital outlay, the recurrent costs of energy and maintenance is a minus. But if I dare say that, those whose contract it is will descend on me. Fanciful decoration of Enugu Centre when unemployment is killing the youths and women of Enugu State is close to a mortal sin. |

Abagworo: @Centje you know this is a big fallacy and I'm sure you know I will pick it out when you spew it. Chime stopped fighting when he lost all. ALL I said. He lost out, forget that lame repacking of the greatest loser in Enugu politics by his lame aides who could offer no help to him, even a lame one. Amaka is a Diaspora dunce, I hope you know. She was recruited to open doors of international investment and aid into Enugu. What did she achieve? If she did her work, Chime wouldn't be borrowing billions in dying minutes. Amaka sat and Ekweremmadu defeated Chime in Diaspora Enugu election. Together with Jude Akubuilo. Now he has also defeated him at home. You see have the facts and figures. There is no nobility in Chime. Its just a shame. See the problem. Chime is surrounded by buffoons and defended by re-tarded chimps like you. Why are you wasting eye shadow on a corpse, Centje? Chime: Dead he is for sure and fast proceeding to political rigor mortis. Just free us, abegi. What was your noble Chime looking for seeking to go to the Senate? Was that not avarice? Someone who despises people and practically locked himself in inside the government house and who did nothing for his people of west district, just doing Enugu big boy and paving, painting and studding Enugu city center streets while his wine tapper kith and kin of Udi continue to clime and fall to their death from palm trees. What is Udi know for and how has he helped to modernise or progress it? Please educate yourself by reading the real gist under the right heading below. Lame face-mending cannot assuage the disaster for which Chime connotes today -a disaster long predicted, anyway: PDP Senatorial Tickets: Govs Uduaghan, Chime Forced Out By Power Play As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) begins its primaries to choose its candidates for the National Assembly elections, an intense powerplay, intrigues and upsets have forced two frontline governors to abandon their senatorial ambitions. Barely 48 hours to the party’s senatorial primaries, governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan and his Enugu State counterpart, Sullivan Chime, lost in the power tussle in the state. PROUDIGBO: @PROUDIGBO, what really is your beef with mr otil1? All you have stated above are withing allowable limits in Nairaland. When did promoting product, person, project, proposal, perspective, etc. become an issue in this forum? That you keep throwing jabs at a member because you believe that infringed on your sphere of interest, right? I can't see how promoting Ekweremmadu should be your problem... and how is that the problem of Ndiigbo in particular and Nigeria in general? If your so called 'Abuja money' rains into the pocket of a south easterner, how is that a problem? Shouldn't you be helping for more to come down this way or do i read you well that 'Abuja money' is evil? My guestimate is that you are pained that your man, Chime's political standi is on quick sand and sink he surely will and that will be final. Even Obi, who at least could saunter to Aso Rock, will be much better that him. Chime is finished, QED. I will be surprised if mr otil acquiesces to your request to swear. But I know he's a hardliner, albeit, a little retarded, ops, I meant backward because he simply posts media reports. If you want situation on ground, as it happens, tap on my door. For instance, right now in Enugu, I can tell you that the politics is exceeding boiling point. Ekweremmadu is now using failed Chime as a shield to decapitate all those that fought with him, and they are not taken it lightly. Chime apparently restored to his emperor seat by Ekweremmadu, all through the week held more kangaroo adoption meetings and there are now (fake) concesus candidates for virtually all posts -all senate, house of rep and senate. This situation has thrown virtually old the Abuja politicians out of favour in the elections of today and tomorrow and it is not funny. I moved around and saw usual war moves like quartering delegates: Frank Nweke, in charge of East delegate (approved by court) has pulled off the alliance and is keeping his delegates. Ozomgbachi, hated by Chime and despised by Ekweremmadu has taken delivery of majority of his Udi/Ezeagu delegates and is getting them set for a show down today. Same in Nsukka, where Chime's former commissioner and ally, Ike Ugwuegede has rejected Chime's concensus anointment of Vita Abba, the sick former state party chairman. So today, expect explosion. There will be parallel primaries and there will be multiple court actions. For the new sweet hearts -Chime/Ekweremmadu, it is convenient in that Chime now has the tool to bring down as many of his old ebeano politicans as possible to pave way for his hope of his own political dynasty. But he will be shocked, because DSP is playing to be the ultimate inheritor and will in fulness of time scatter all that Chime thinks he is gathering. For Ekweremmadu, the happiest man on the block. He is poised to become the most successful of the ebeano alumni -something Chime thought was going to be his. That's the trophy and that's the cause of the war. Enugu should brace itself for a life senator and Udi/Ezeagu shall become perpetual political slaves to Awgu. Talk of reversal of history. That is Chime's gift to ndi agbaja. For Ekweremmadu, even with his colleagues accusing him of treachery, they are dead anyway and he is using the combo power of gov/DSP to weed them all out (after saving his younger brother, Ekweremmadu Jnr in ENHA and Tobi in Reps). But he too will get a big shock. The avalance of litigaton that will erupt in Enugu can consume everything, even his candidature. People of Awgu are beginning to look inwards after they suffered maximum defeat while maintaining alliance with him. I great you all 1 Like |
