Who posted this on nairaland? Have you yet to hear of new rule on nairaland -promote ye not biafra? ?

This is why I maintain that Seun should relax. The word count of biafra on nairaland is not going to diminish anytime soon because even d grass will bring it here.

It's really unfortunate that quite a huge number of Nairalanders from the East are not approaching rule 9 with spirit of fairness. You need to understand that Seun is a Business man who probably makes 100% of his earnings from Nairaland. Nairaland was gradually becoming a tool of promotion in the hands of some Biafrans which I'm sure you all are aware that some government officials would have sent several warnings to Seun in respect to the subject matter. Dude is only trying to protect his business which you would do thesame if you were in his shoes. There are numerous benefits that most of us have gained on this forum without paying a dime and it would really be unfair if the forum becomes our nightmare just because of rule 9.BTW, It's only a foolish mother who throws away a baby with the bathwater.
Coming from a Deltan!

Question that seeks answer is: since the new rule 9, has the matter of biafra reduced in nairaland? The word count of biafra in nairaland may have spiked since the as a matter of fact.

Truth is, biafra is the most discussed item in Nigeria social media as at present. Any attempt to sensor it will require more than new rule 9. And seen should be happy to coast with reduced traffic hence.

mej67 nwanne! i thought u and ur evil twin otil1 have been kidnapped. Good to see u guyz. Whats happening in our dear Enugu state

Hey Unemadu, you are a good man and kind hearted. I am okay. I never left actually, but we were done with Enugu far back and we all moved on.

The Gov, this time is something else. That guy has no business in govt house leading the executive. He's a legislator! Look at all he has been doing -just playing to the gallery. No content, I make bold to say. Formed a committee on Nsukka urban, reversed it quickly when people started to complain; formed a useless economic advisory committee that should have been his elders council and now borrowing billions to fund heavy SUVs for commissioners.

All these are after many rounds of thank you tour to failed former Gov. Chime.

Bros, na now we go know. This one is not it at all. Anytime you see him at National Economic Council (NEC), he's sleeping. If not sleeping, he will be picking his nostrils. I have never heard him comment or try to move into the right cliques.

Enugu is in God's hands.

Di ok.

I have humbly replied op TonyeBarcanista with 5 key points below:

1. The geographic territory of the defunct Biafra nation has never been in doubt and actually pre-dated Nigeria.
From Wikipedia on Biafra (para. 6) “Biafra as a territory existed long before the amalgamation and independence of Nigeria as a republic.”

2. Biafra was NOT an Igbo affair:
The man that suggested the name “Biafra” was Chief Frank Opigo an Izon. The second in command to Col. Ojukwu, the Vice President of the defunct Biafra was Obong Philip Efiong, who actually became the Head of State as Ojukwu departed and saw to the surrender and closure of the Bifran chapter as at then. Not an Igbo man. He is from current Akwa Ibom. I don’t need to mention Victor Banjo and others.

3. Igbos never annex territory:
Igbos do not want to conquer at the same time, they do not want to be conquered. They just want to trade

4. Denial of Biafra is an induced reaction since the end of the war:
Every Biafran was faced with either accepting and professing “one Nigeria” or execution. We all professed “one Nigeria”, no shame about it. One has to be alive to agitate.

5. The current agitation for Biafra hopes to adopt a different approach –a civil approach, not war:
True

But mainly, I provided proof that TonyeBarcanista ia a Biafran, Port Harcourt a Biafran city, Ikwere and Okrika, Bifran territories.

Politics / Barcanista: Biafrans Are Not Igbos by mej67: 9:39pm On Oct 26, 2015
When you research the term ‘spin doctor’, you are likely going to have such definitions as “Somebody who works in or for the media who ensures that the public understands things from a certain perspective” and “a person (as a political aide) responsible for ensuring that others interpret matters from a particular point of view”

TonyeBarcanista is a spin doctor. I must confess that I am one of those who have been proud of his work. Ride on, Barcanister.

I make this current submission in response to TonyeBarcanista’s “Dear Igbos, We Don't Hate You... We Are Not Your Antagonists” at Politics – Nairaland1, which essentially wanted the Igbos not to ever make claim to Port Harcourt, that Port Harcourt is not Igboland.

Guess what? Tonyebarcanister is right! Port Harcourt remains the aboriginal home to Ikweres and Okirikas, as he said; not Igbos.

Now, to the point. Barcanista, Sir, Igbos are not claiming Port Harcourt. Igbos never at any point claimed Port Harcourt and I am sure that there is no plan or intention for the Igbos to ever lay claim to Port Harcourt.

Issue is, there is now a growing number of spin doctors who equate Biafra with Igbo. That is an unfortunate twist of history for Biafra is not Igbo or should I say Igbo alone. Attributing Biafra to Igbo is incorrect. Igbo may be predominant in Biafra but it is wrong to think of Biafra territory as Igbo land. Biafra was Biafra as then declared and Igboland is but part of it. Whenever Biafra is defined or discussed, Port Harcourt will be part of the territory that was Biafra. That is just the historical facts. Can TonyeBarcanista disprove this fact? No, he can’t. Reason: There has been no new discussion and definition of Biafra territory except as it was on the day of declaration of the republic in 1967. Given, the Nigerian army decimated and devastated the entire area and re-annexed it into ‘one Nigeria’, but anytime reference is made to Biafra, what is meant is that original nation that was and was no more.

Ikwere was Biafra. Bonny was Biafra and Port Harcourt was Biafra.

Today, the issue of Biafra is becoming narrowly defined as an Igbo affair, but that is wrong from historical perspective. Biafra was not an Igbo-alone project! That is revisionism. That is a fallacy.

Hear TonyeBarcanista “Show Respect For Our Territories: I believe that it was Kanu that spread the fable that Portharcourt is an Igbo city, which some of you now call Igweocha. This is absolutely insulting on us the Okrikans/Ijaws especially.” This is a bad spin. If you replace “Igbo” with “Biafra” in above expression, you get the fact. Port Harcourt was a Biafran city. IPOB is about Biafra not Igbo.

Quite Frankly, I don’t really know much about Igweocha, but natives may have an old dialect for referring to a place yonder their territory. I have heard of Fernanda Po, I have heard of Potokiri but these are colloquial references to places. Even the Biafran administration did not rename Port Harcourt.

For all those being deceived by spin doctors that Igbos brought about Biafra, please a good look at history books will be necessary.

In Barcanistar’s style, I usher the following points:

1. The geographic territory of the defunct Biafra nation has never been in doubt and actually pre-dated Nigeria2.
As a simple guide, there were three regions –the Eastern, Western and Norther Regions of Nigeria and later, the Mid-Western region. Biafra would be equal to the entire old Eastern Region and mainly the Igbo-speaking Mid-west. The Biafran war was never about expanding the Igbo territory, but to defend the new nation called Republic of Biafra. Alas, it became impossible. Please note this quote from Wikipedia on Biafra (para. 6) “Biafra as a territory existed long before the amalgamation and independence of Nigeria as a republic.”

2. Biafra was NOT an Igbo affair:
The old Eastern Region was home to Igbos, of course. So it was for many other tribes, all making up one region –Efiks, Ibibios, etc., etc., quite a long list; and they all existed and operated well in the region that, at some point, had a higher economic growth rate than the Asian Tigers. It is on record that the man that suggested the name “Biafra” was Chief Frank Opigo an Izon, not Igbo, who later served as the administrator of Yenagoa Province of Biafra and the commissioner for rural development3.

Note that at the declaration of independent Biafra Republic on 30 May 1967, there was no record of revolt in any part of the then Eastern Region (Biafra). The Ikweres did not revolt, the Okirikas did not, the Efiks did not, the Izons did not. We were all together in the venture until they started to divide us.

3. Igbos never annex territory:
Start from the defunct Eastern Region; although the Igbos was the predominant tribe by population, there were no incidences of annexation of territories or acquisition of homesteads of other tribes within the Region. The Region was peaceful and was able to achieve great economic feats that would have been impossible in an environment of hostility in between the tribes or between Igbos and the other tribes. Igbos simply need to trade with others, not acquire their lands, territories, properties and wives. What Igbos make from trading is enough for them, and they use it to buy, acquire and develop property, not annex or expand territory. Igboland has a more or less known and fixed territory and has been so for many centuries. Igbos do not want to conquer at the same time, they do not want to be conquered,

4. Denial of Biafra is an induced reaction since the end of the war:
As Biafran terrirories fell into the hands of Nigerian army, denial of Biafra was made a condition for staying alive for all those in the Biafran territory and every Biafran was faced with either accepting and professing “one Nigeria” or execution. We all professed “one Nigeria”, no shame about it. One has to be alive to agitate.

[b]5. The current agitation for Biafra hopes to adopt a different approach –a civil approach, not war:
Other than violence and strife, I am one of those who believe that something positive can be achieved from drawing attention to the poor conditions of a people forced to be in an arrangement that is not beneficial to them. Such was the birth of the concept of indigenous of people of Biafra, which, I believe, is hoped to be more acceptable and understandable, especially to the international community and the UN. Of course, in fullness of time, there shall be discussions and choices on who wishes to be in the new Biafra because, Biafrans cannot complain about Nigeria being foisted on them and then end up foisting Biafra on those that do not want it.

On another note, for all those being deceived by spin doctors that Igbos want to dominate you, that Igbos want to expand and take your homes, please worry not. Igbos are not interested in these things and I can prove it. Ask yourself, whose territory have Igbos annexed before in history? Who have the Igbos really dominated before? Find the answers to this question by knowing that as Igbos travel all over the world, if their goal was to dominate or annex territories, they would not be everywhere you find the Igbos today. Igbos would rather lord it on people they are able to dominate or find it easy to take their territory rather than being in the developed Western world, the now blossoming Asia and in fact, in every part of the globe.

Truth be said, the Igbo simply want to be successful. The Igbo want to live decently. The Igbo detest strife. It spoils business for them. The Igbo is not after your land or territory. If an Igbo man wants your land, he will come to you with a keg of palm wine or equivalent like carton of Carlo Rossi, ask you nicely, negotiate with you, and pay you a reasonable price in exchange.

Now, speaking from Igbo perspective, for our neighbours in South South (mind you, I did not say brothers), it remains to be seen what the gain is to you of siding the grand beneficiaries of the Nigerian project. First, to weaken Biafra, there was the first creation of States to give you a false sense of independence (from Igbos). But that ended up the way it has today –with your resources being spread across the length and breadth of the Northern Nigeria who now has no incentive to collect taxes from their people because your crude revenue is just what they need. Check the recent listing of States and their IGR4 and see what is happening.

They made you believe the Igbo was/is your problem but that is not supported from any empirical evidence. Imagine if all that revenue did not have to be spread to Chad basin. I sometimes like to fantasize about this. Meanwhile, if it is about crude and gas. The Igbo is not as baren as Sokoto and Borno.

Anyway, going on, following the first creation of states, was the declaration of abandoned property, which basically was about bribing you with the ‘spoils of war’, to strengthen your resolve to part ways with Igbos forever. Extreme divide and rule, I'd say. This you gladly embraced and went ahead to appropriate Igbo property in Port Harcourt and environs. This, Igbos have long forgiven and moved on. That's history now. But the question continues to be there –is the South-Southerner better off today? What I personally see are issues everywhere -the needless killing of Prof Ken Saro Wiwa, the devastation of Ogoni land which became an evenue of politicking even when President Jonathan was there, the begging for 50% derivation, the broader Niger delta militancy, etc., etc...

That's an aside. The choice remains yours. In the new Biafra, if you do not want, you will not be part. But since discussion is about the only Biafra we have always known, Tonyebarcanister, if you are truly from Okrika, you are a Biafran, that is, if you agree that Biafrans are those that inhabit the territory then and today referred as Biafra; Port Harcourt a Biafran city, Okrika and Ikwere, Biafran territories (of course, as it then was). Let me hear you say tuffiakwa! But, yes, you are not Igbo and there is no interest in making you one.

Politics / Re: Political Prisoners And The Call For Biafra - Ffk by mej67: 4:02am On Oct 24, 2015
TechRev:

It is in this light that we must consider the plight of Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra and the man that has been described by the Igbo World Assembly as ''Buhari's first political prisoner''.

Mr. Kanu will be the metaphor of this government

TechRev:

The biggest mistake and miscalculation of his administration so far is not the ruthless implementation of its patently and monstrously unapologetic northern agenda but rather its absurd resolve to lock up Mr. Kanu indefinitely and to effectively throw the key away simply because he dared to call for the establishment of Biafra.

Useless administration. Everyday, their confusion will be showing. Useless government of "we will, we will"

TechRev:

It follows that the biggest favor that President Buhari's security agencies could have done for the Biafran cause was to lock up Mr. Kanu and thereby transform him from being a little-known secessionist into the living symbol of the Biafran struggle, a respected freedom fighter, a champion of the Igbo people and an internationally-acclaimed political prisoner.

Thank you o! Mr Booohari

TechRev:

They are angry, they are fed up, they refuse to be enslaved, they want a brighter future and they have come to realise that they have nothing to lose.

The most inappropriate thing that President Buhari can do is to continue to underestimate the power of their resolve or the clarity of their intent. The worst thing that they can do is to begin to jail them, to shed their blood and to take their lives.

The more you lock up the Biafrans, the more they will rise up. The more you mock them, the more they will shout. The more you kill them, the more their anger will be kindled.

The more you deny them, the more they will wax stronger. The more you treat them with disdain, the more they will defy you. You cannot resist an idea whose time has come.

This is a fact that we must all accept and it is with this in mind that I urge President Buhari and the Federal Government to not only release Mr. Nnamdi Kanu but also to tread with the utmost restraint and caution when dealing with those that are agitating for Biafra.

Point.

Sorry for using ordinary.

But the last Deji physically abused the wife, beat her on the street and now she is dead. RIP. The current Deji dines with thugs who will pounce on anybody who forgets or fails to remove his cap in his presence.

That is strike 2.

Both are behavioyrs of ordinary street and garage folks, bro.

Have you heard of Obi of Onitsha or any monarch in Igboland beating his wife or hiring thugs to cause violence?

Being proud of your culture - hahahahahahaha, I laugh in Spanglish. You guys are stuck in the past. Nothing modern, nothing learned. The Ooni of Ife died and schools started to close because there would be human heads to bury the Ooni. Jesus! in 21st Century!!!!!!

Read
"I am of the deep conviction that the era of head hunting is truly gone. We should not permit its revival under whatever guise.
If the traditional authorities of a town decide that schools should close shop or subtly warn people to keep indoors, the Nigerian state must demand a satisfactory explanation."

FEAR GRIPS ILE IFE AS OONI'S DEMISE IS ANNOUNCED TODAY..BANKS,SCHOOLS TO CLOSE DOWN

Big shame on you!!!!

Selling and buying of human parts, human sacrifice, ritual killing, money ritual, rape, murder. That is the news emanating from Yorubaland and you call it love for your tradition. Meanwhile all the big church pastors are with you and you have failed to convert.

Such a backward society.

I've had to spend nights at Badagry and the Asamkpete cult still kills humans in the night. Your host will immediately warn you upon stepping in that no outing in the night because of Asamkpete. And truly, they murder people and dismember their corpses and drop them on the road side.

Shiiiiiit!!!!!!!!

Ordinary Deji of Akure, we no go hear word.

I have mentioned some world renown monarchs and you are dodging. You guys don't want to learn. Your ways are backward. Even the Hausas we used to make fun off have overtaken you.

Give me the pedigree of this Deji and I will tell you the root cause of this matter -illiteracy.

Everywhere you go, you see well educated people as monarchs. In Yoruba, only we hear about is thuggery, wife battering, threat of violence and violence proper.

Didn't the 'Deji' of Ibeju Lekki sit and oversee the killing of the MD of Free trade zone, just the other day. How far with that one.

It is a big shame that those that should be hiding their faces in utter shame are busy making posts on this forum. That your tradition of violence will be changed or it will consume you all.

macof:

Does the traditions of the Buckingham Palace require that? I'm sure it doesn't

why should Sanusi go for this? Is that the norm in the Emir's abode? I don't know maybe you are just too foolish to understand the simple fact that it's yoruba traditions. .. why mentioning other people? we are not igbos that like copy copy follow follow, we do things our own way so if you don't like it you can go back to your various villages

Yes, it is old school. If what we practiced in 178BC is not old school, tell me what is. Are you ok dude?

See what I mean when I say you guys prefer to live in the past.

Because you are much more settled with your state in pre-historic time than modern day when you are losing to envying others who are progressing.

That is what happens to a stagnant society. Move guys, move. Time is changing fast.

Bottom line = Igbos think their culture is old school. Good thinking from the drug pushers.

Another lesson for you. A quick one...

Igbos move so quickly and adapt to new things and new cultures.

Akwete is still in use today. But guess what, it is used for Odo masquerade and those fearsome Abriba war dancers. These are meant to reminisce the past.

Reason, there are finer, easier fabric and Igbos have moved with the trend and world. You know, as Igbos travelled and traded, they came in touch with cashmire, hollandis, ankara wax, linen, gabadine, just name it. Go to Aba and you will see fabric wonder.

If you are so proud of your native yoruba, pls post me a picture of a corporate office where yourba adire, buba, or ashoke is worn.

I won't want to name you a fool.

Sometimes I hear here and there that this and that tribe is primitive.

Just read what you have written.

If Deji wishes to see the Queen of England, he will therefore have to strip naked, remove his cap/crown, remove his Deji regalia and staff of office?

You guys are so so in the past.

The embarrassment this single episode has caused the Yoruba, if I were the Governor of Ondo, I will depose this one too.

The world today is pursuing rule of law and protection of human rights. You guys want to be stuck in the past when the Oba was bleeping anybodies wife he fancies anywhere he fancies. That is Yoruba history.

There is a great slave mentality here. Move on, guys. It is 21st century.

Deji is an appointee of the State Governor, is it not?

Even powerful Emire Sanusi will not go this far.

Your Deji is not sure of himself and has a huge inferiority complex to feel threatened by a common diaspora ambassador.

macof:

If the "law" can, it should abolish the institution of Deji. .. for as long as it exists and a well cultured yoruba man sits on the throne, the traditions of the palace shall reign supreme. And such traditions dictate that no low personality like Eze Ndigbo should wear a crown to met an Oba of such calibre in his own palace

Deji acted true to type:

1. Deji's come to news for act of violence usually involving thugs

2. As a true Yoruba:- Simply Google "Yorubas are" and see what you get below. Try it now, no be go come.

The Igbos don't have any problem with PDP's zoning 2019 arrangements.

Sen. Ike Ekweremmadu is arguably the highest office holder in PDP as the Deputy President of the Senate, and he is Igbo. He was part of the decision and it is a wise one. It is just a matter of winning strategy. With a northern candidate in PDP, the northern vote will be split and the Igbos will vote enbloc as usual.

Southwest is 50:50 that is why they initally started blaming the Igbos for their voting pattern of putting all the eggs in one basket. Igbos will do exactly the same thing 2019. That is why APC is worried.

We love Ijaws like our blood brother please.

Guys, it is not who is President that is the final goal. Igbos are in strong reckoning in Nigeria's politics of today and it will only increase. Take a good look at President Buhari's cabinet being cleared by the senate and you will see that the Igbos, instead of being punished are taking center stage once again.

Quote me, mainstream Igbos are not against the 2019 zoning by PDP. We are very happy with it, in fact.

dinachi:

Any Igbo man who still listens to this Ijaw man blab about PDP and power should be arrested, drawn and quatered and then shot for being the worlds most foolish man!

Tomorrow is Sunday.

Let tomorrow be an Igbo-free day. A day Yorubas will focus on their own progress for once and leave Igbos alone.

Yoruba youths on Nairaland have zeroed in on Igbos like there is nothing else to discuss. This is clearly a sign of some malady (disease). Or is it acute inferiority complex?

Can someone, in the spirit of Igbo-free day tomorrow analyse how many times Igbo members of this forum has called out any other tribe.

Youths of O'dua land, there is the issue of falling education standards, unemployment, rampant thuggery, rape(no.1 zone in the country), ritual murder and human sacrifice, etc., plaguing your society. Please face it and leave the Igbos. You are retarding and stunting your progress by your over-focus on Igbos. Meanwhile, all those ttention has not succeeded in slowing them or anything down. Move on, dear brothers.

Lets observe Igbo-free day tomorrow please.

Those who can neither read nor write, please clear.

I am still reading. After which I come up with a counter-balancing response.

So far, an unemotional exposé which demands careful digestion.

I praise the writer for offering a different perspective from all the former emotional and sentimental BS.

If you do bad or take laws into your hands, you have a case to answer. QED.

My comments later....

Unfortunately, no amount of commenting on Nairaland can give him that. Too bad.

When the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria begins to fear the President of Nigeria Bar Association or President, Igbo Union, then know it is either stark illiteracy or acute inferiority complex.

Eze Ndi Igbo is head or spokesperson or leader of Igbos in any enclave where such exists.

I don't see how a leader of a subset of a large society will be a threat to the traditional ruler of the entire society.

Eze Ndi Igbo is the same with Sarking Hausa or Sarkin Fulani. Forget the razzmatazz of wearing crown and dressing elegantly. It is simply Igboness. Igbos are colourful people. The crown the Eze Igbo is wearing can never be the crown of the traditional ruler and the Eze Igbo has no plan or interest in leading anybody else other that his brother kith and kin, fellow Igbos. So where is the competition?

I read the Afenifere youths saying Igbos want to acquire territory. Where in Nigeria, West Africa, entire Africa and the world has the Igbos taken anybody's land not to talk of territory? Igbos go through laid down steps to acquire land and property, paying due land premium and settling all charges imposed by customary rites or other constituted authority.

Eze Ndi Igbo, wherever it exists in Nigeria is protected by the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Ask me and I will tell you

Slave mentality.

Must you also defend your masters, the Hausa/Fulani's to pass your point across? Or is it that they will sanction you if you didn't.

My post is meant to educate but I see no education in you, not now, not in future. I will just pass.

Meanwhile, for being the most travelled tribe in Nigeria since far back, you truly believe the Ibos were touring the world in their birth cloths. I won't glorify your ignorance by telling you about old-time igbo garmentry, if you are not able to google it. Ode nie!

OnTheMoveWA:

Urban settlements are part of Yoruba culture. Same for Hausa. Igbos lived in villages and used leaves and hides to cover their unclothedness like in the Garden of Eden. Name a traditional Igbo cloth like the ofi of the Yoruba and the kente of the Ashanti. All your traditional clothes are recent creations because you didn't need clothes in those days.
Villages can be cool but there are reasons they're not capitals of anywhere.

Village: A village is a clustered human settlement or community, larger than a hamlet but smaller than a town, with a population ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand. Though often located in rural areas, the term urban village is also applied to certain urban neighbourhoods. -Wikipedia

Igbos are frank. There is no point in calling a village a town or any other glorifying names.

Meanwhile, from conservation perspective, the Igbos treasure their hinterlands (a little more than most other tribes), and truly enjoy and derive pride in the serenity and natural vegetative surrounding. For many, they dread the destruction of this traditional and natural dwelling by urbanisation which is falsely percieved as development.

It is all part of Igboness to always be in touch with ones birthplace in Igboland. Ultimately, that will also be the final resting place. So, it is a very important part of Igbo life and culture.

Here is another reason to treasure your village (and not be bullied by those who don't have it, don't know it and won't understand it).
Take the Uk as an example. There are many lovely villages like the Blackheath Village, Theydon Bois Village, Walthamstow Village, even Greenwich, where time began housing the popular Greenwich museum is a village. In other climes, very cool villages like Brudge (Belgium) and Toulouse (France) are real cool places.

Village is actually a real cool concept, better than town that has all to do with urban vices, congestion, pollution and high cost of living usually associated with urban lifestyle.

Politics / Exposed. Why Yorubas Oppose Biafra by mej67: 4:28pm On Oct 15, 2015
These are the facts -the key points:

1. In 1966 when it became clear that the amalgamation was a ruse, the Igbos at the helm of affairs pointed it out and wanted a split.

2. The Yoruba, initially accepted to pull out also from the alliance whereby the north was causing every other region retardation.

3. But, the Youruba hatched a different plot and made a volte-face and united with the north. Aim -to crush the Igbos. Reason -competition and envy as I explain below:

4. It is on record that the white man (civilisation) came through Lagos colony which existed before 1900 and was, in 1906 merged with remaining southern territories under the British, and the territory was officially renamed the Colony and Protectorate of Southern Nigeria. In 1914, the Southern Nigeria was joined with Northern Nigeria Protectorate to form the single colony of Nigeria. But as time progressed, under pure, clean and fair competition, the Igbos had shot ahead of the Yorubas and all other tribes in Nigeria to be leading in the military, trade and commerce, civil service, transport and real estate. Igbos were the most educated and most widely travelled, existing in all parts of the country at the door steps of Nigerian independence in 1960. This is a long established fact.

5. The reason the Yoruba betrayed the cause and joined the Hausa/Fulani to crush Igbo in 1966, was a way, in their mind, to crush the competition and their envy of the tribe of Igbo.

6. And they succeeded...... The Igbos best brains and youths were mercilessly and brutally crushed in the 30month Biafran war. While the Hausa/Fulani led the brutal edge of the onslaught and genocide, their Yoruba allies provided the brain, the policies and tactical support for complete subjugation of Igbos. These include horrid programmes like economic blockade that led to hunger and malnutrition, the popular 20pounds and the abandoned property policy. Many children, that should have been the brains of today, wasted under hunger and kwashioko. The surviving Igbo males were made to be grateful for not being completely annihilated as proposed actually, and started life all over again with only 20pounds a head.

7. But it was only temporary.....

8. The Igbos defied all odds, all ill-treatments and the age-long marginalisation and survived the conspiracy.

9. It remains a wonder to the Yoruba, that the Igbos they thought they had finished off forever, is now competing with them on equal level in Lagos of all places. The Igbos have even found themselves to be leading with a great margin in some areas like real estate investments (Abuja as a case in point). In politics, education, commerce, transport, etc. the Igbos are more alive today than ever.

10. The Yorubas who thought and expected the Igbos to give up in 1970 and become their house servants and slaves have now become even more bitter.

11. Above is the reason for the ferocious attack on the new rising wave of Biafran agitation. Guess who attacks is the most -Yorubas. They won't attach Niger Delta struggle, they won't ever comment on the killings in the middle belt. They are obsessed with Biafra and IPOB.

12. Many of them (Yorubas) actually know that their alliance with Hausa/Fulani is not working. Today, Nigeria is stagnant as a result. But they are divided. Many are practically ashamed to admit it. Many are very bitter that the Igbos survived. But a few are beginning to wake up to stark reality -IT IS NOT WORKING!!!!!!!

13. In the 2015 election, instead of a united south to face and debunk the born-to-rule and the new i-must-rule-or baboon-and monkey-will-be soaked-with-their-blood, the Yoruba once again broke ranks and united with Hausa/Fulani. The very aim of it was to get at Igbos and the South-South brothers who, for the first time, was beginin to regain their voice and identity.

14, But this time, it is different.

15. The cabinet being cleared has clearly shown that the Igbos are more than a blowing wind. Just see the harvest of the best of Igbos. It is now being touted in the media that Igbo Okechukwu Enelama from Abia State will head Finance.

16. Yorubas, please ponder the current situation. Igbos (Biafrans) are not angry with you. They simply want you to wisen up. Come back home, we are Southerners. Leave the North. Or, just leave us ans stay with them, abeg!!!!!!!
