Bro....the less you talk the more we'll think of you.

@ topic... he didn't have to do that. He could've just sat in his car... his security do their job by standing around to protect him.... while the traffic jam got bigger and everyone got stuck....nobody going anywhere. The man has used his power to solve a problem on ground and we find fault with him. Whatever someone does.... not everyone would agree..... but when we have sooo many condemning a good gesture..... we should know the biggest problem is to reset such minds.
He should also drive himself to show he is kind hearted and tell his driver to sit on the passengers seat. It's part of the job description of the mopol following him to clear the road. So all this is just to deceive the gullible. This is why Africa is backward. Celebrating mediocrity. Our politicians will identify and snap pictures with poor people, but will not end poverty . You snap picture controlling traffic, but you won't do anything to end the traffic congestion.

Buhari is coming to Lagos, all the heavy trucks parked on the road will be cleared, but after he leaves the problem continues.

Who is fooling who?

I don't agree with you. It's good to commend good works. How many of the so called lawbreakers can do it.

I am an unapologetic Yoruba boy. Good works has no tribe, he is leading from the front unlike some mofos.

God bless him real good.
What is the good works in doing what the security you paid for should do? Will the traffic stop after he did it? If he wants to show good work he should provide a permanent solution to the traffic situation there.

There's a new generation of politicians who'll not just be accountable and progressive, but they're going to change the narrative in Nigerian politics generally. If they don't come by their will, situation will produce them. Never minding the insatiable nature of some Nigerians anyway.
Controlling traffic does not amount to accountability. Amechi fixed hair, Aisha buhari fried akara. These young ones are following the steps of hypocrisy. Their own leadership will be worse.

Rubbish. Why waste money on Mobil then? So if the governor is passing with escort, he should come down and control traffic while the police stands? Isn't the security of the principal the number one priority of the police? So controlling traffic for a smooth ride is part of that assignment.

This rubbish only impresses shallow minds. If u have to employ a gateman and open the gate yourself, is it not waste of money.

He should go and do something more beneficial for the people he represents.

Receive sense. It's the job of the mopol to ease the traffic. Since he wants to switch jobs, let him do the mopols job while the mopol legislate.
PoliticsRe: Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi Controls Traffic Under The Rain (Photos) by mekaboy(m):
Rubbish. Controlling traffic with mopol in the rain. Nice movie. It's still the people's money that he will use to replace that leather shoe he used to act this movie.

For the primitive minded gullible fellows celebrating this mediocrity. Here is the police doing their job in developed countries and not legislators.

A person like president buhari who knows very little or nothing about business and economics should have been president during the oil boom. When there was abundance and no need for critical thinking or experience.

At this point in the country Nigeria needs someone who puts national interest above regional or party interest.

Nigerian needs someone who speaks the language investors understand.

Nigeria needs someone who can paint a picture of where Nigeria is going and get Nigerians to key in. In the case of buhari, he could not even give reason why he should be reelected.

Nigeria needs someone who understands the economy and the situation from experience, and not someone who depends on the interpretation of those around him. We have all seen the wide difference between post office message delivery and instant messaging. A president that needs people to interpret the economic situation of the country he is ruling is like using post office to send and receive messages in the age of instant messaging.

Nigeria needs a president that has run some sort of business or organization, who can call captains of industry, sit with them and discuss the way forward as a business person.

Unfortunately for a president that has not run a successful business in a time like this, he or she will have to rely totally on friends for decision making.

Isn't it funny how billions of funds from abacha loot was shared before elections and we go borrowing more for projects ?

Recession time is the time when countries with visionary leaders take tough decisions and look for solutions within to reinforce the foundation of the nation against future attacks.

But because we have inexperienced and incompetent leadership, we look for solutions outside. traveling round the world with no vision to communicate to the world. No wonder it is alleged that he was referred to as "LIFELESS" .

Increase borrowing to consume, having a false sense of progress and making the nation weaker against further challenges.

There was so much noise about diversification in the early days of his administration. Soon the president asked for intensified search for oil in the North. Spending billions of resources that would have been invested as seed in various alternative sources of income against the future. While others a planning for electric cars, our president is in serious search for more oil. Nobody talks about diversification anymore, all we talk about is borrowing.

Are you surprised at the number of Nigerians desperate to migrate? When it is clear that the driver of this car has no direction, it's obvious that people who have somewhere going in life have to find an alternative route to get to their destination.fortunately for the developed countries, the embassies are experiencing oil boom, because it only take 2 minutes to deny millions of applications and take in non refundable billions monthly.

Having an inexperienced leader running the affairs of this Nation in a critical time like this, is setting a trap for the future of this Nation.

Well for those youths whose future is mortgaged, all these people have their children abroad .

They will come with the agriculture story. Here is a little video of reality.

I transfer 200k from my gtb to first bank yesterday morning. I was debited in my gtb but was not credited in first bank. I waited till evening and nothing happened, I decided to transfer another 10k to first bank, and to my surprise I got credited 10k. I was wondering why the 10k was credited and 200k not credited.

This afternoon I got text alert that I have been credited 200k, but the email deduction for card maintenance, did not reflect the 200k in the balance.

I'm still waiting to know what is happening.

The first step is to have a Northern and Southern Nigeria.

At least we can agree to what crime is in the south. Not when people from the south steal, they are hailed, while others from the North kill people, destroy lives and property for no reason, they are said to be deradicalized and set free.

If you check my previous posts you will know that I a Christian. I HAVEN'T LOST MY FAITH OOO but I just feel like we humans are alone in this world and God doesn't give a Fvck. People are dying and the wicked are rich and happy. Pastors with jets and stuff(ALTHOUGH MY PASTOR LEADS A SIMPLE LIFE AND IS NOT MATERIALISTIC, I LOVE HIM THOUGH).

Life has not been fair.. My parents are against my basketball career, they sent me to school but I haven't paid me fees and I'm with ten NAIRA presently.

I pay my tithes but has not happened since January 2018. I have a book where I record every single Kobo I get and I have calculated that as a student since July 2016 I have paid about 30k in Tithes from my pocket money. I'm not against Tithing tho but it's it funny that when bad happens we are blamed but when good happens we thank GOD. Like the situation I'm zamfara now, one journalist was blaming the Governor but during Jonathan's time she was blaming the president. When it is bad it's the governor bit when it's good it's buhari . It's hypocritical.

So I went and used my last but one card (200) to buy food and I perfectly avoided the woman and didn't pay for the fried rice. As I was walking home I felt guilty. I went back and told her that I didn't pay and now left with N10 till next week . No easter celebration.

I don't know why GOD will let the corrupt guys who already have money to steal more money and not strike them dead but the guys with clean hearts don't win elections.

I still have a lot to say but I don't want the writ to be too lengthy.

I AM STILL A BELIEVER THOUGH.
God was looking at competent and credible people like moghalu, hoping that you would vote him for a better Nigeria, but you chose incompetence to lead you. God gave u choices and you have to feed from the result.

Politics2023: Buhari Has Failed Nigeria. by mekaboy(op):
Buhari has been president for 4 years, he was reelected and has another 4 years. But as soon as he won, instead of Nigerians to talk about the vision of government and direction of the nation, everyone is talking about 2023. This is clear evidence that there is no vision or direction for the people to key into and benefit from.

Everyone is just waiting for him to do and hand over. It shows Nigerians are just waiting for him to waste another 4 years and hand power over.

Nigerians are expecting another wasted 4 years of incompetence and blame game.

We might as well wait it out.

Mulatta:
Here are the cards since 2015
2015- it was GEJ Vs buhari : the Igbo's voted against the north ,made lots of noise even agitated Nigeria splitted, while the Yorubas supported buhari and kept silent.
2019- it was Atiku vs buhari : the Igbo's again voted against an incumbent president while the Yorubas voted buhari
NOTE: between 2015 and 2019, Igbo's singlehandedly created two enemies by agitating to separate because of the northerners and insulted the Yoruba's for supporting the northerners and keeping silent.
2023 : there are primarily two major parties "APC/PDP" and according to zoning APC slot goes to the Yorubas and PDP slot goes to the Igbo's, due to the Yoruba's loyalty the northerners has to repay that and outside loyalty northerners have no choice because its unlikely a northerners will vote for the Igbo who didn't support and agitated against them.
End results : 2023 will be smooth for APC due to the Yoruba/northern alliance, while PDP have no choice but to compromise or continue with a Igbo/northern alliance which doesn't look fruitful because because of the Igbo's past actions
APC = Yoruba's + northerners vote
PDP = igbo + northerners vote
It's no rocket science on who will win, I leave that for you to decide. Also don't be surprise if Igbo's try to convince the Yoruba's to support them.
It's funny that you see 2023 as an APC vs PDP affair, rather than north handing power to the South.

Both you and Mekus both make salient points! I for one am ready to give ‘one Nigeria’ the benefit of the doubt and have another throw of the dice (ie, going along with Mekus suggestions), but the pragmatist and realist in me suggests the core muslim north wouldn’t let this happen, and this is where i’m forced to buy into your own thesis!
By 2023, Nigerians especially the South will wish they took restructuring seriously.
PoliticsRe: Restructuring: The North Is Afraid Of Itself. by mekaboy(op):

But do you know the laws that guides a Governor is not the federal constitution but the state constitution. Who are the people making the state law? The people you and I choose to represent us at the state assembly. They live within us. They are my tribesmen. They speak my language.

But during the last gubernatorial election was anybody interested in that race?
The immunity the governors enjoy is it state or federal?

Confab was held to address these issues at the federal level but failed. Something similar will be done in the regions. What ever is agreed forms the frame for the constitution. It will be computerized and the international community will witness it being implemented.
PoliticsRe: Restructuring: The North Is Afraid Of Itself. by mekaboy(op): 12:05pm On Apr 13, 2019
luvmijeje:
Oga, under a regional government, there is no way you and I will have a say in a change of constitution directly. We'll still have to elect politicians who will fight for a change or enactment of law. And we all ready have them at the local and state assemblies.

The problem is that you are focusing on the failure at the center and refused to see the merit and the opportunities at the state and local level. I'll rather fight for more autonomy of the state than regional government.
There is no merit at the states. There is no governor that leaves office that is less than 10 billion naira richer.

The people will decide the framework for their constitution. If they say it I fully development constitution. Then a governor will not earn more than 500k monthly. The influence of of the governor on state funds are limited. Spending become transparent, corruption fight is outsourced.

When this is agreed it makes the framework for the constitution.Just like the national conference held under GEJ, all that was needed was to make it law.

Then those representing the people make it law. Remember there is no Abuja, you live with the people. When u mess up, you can't escape the people.
PoliticsRe: Restructuring: The North Is Afraid Of Itself. by mekaboy(op): 11:39am On Apr 13, 2019
luvmijeje:
I've heard you but I also want you to hear me. Do you agree that a regional government is bigger than a state government. If the citizens cannot hold a state government accountable, how are they going to hold a regional government accountable? The same politicians that we elect as a state representative will be the people that will represent us at the regional level. There is no altruistic politician. There will always be laws to protect themselves.

I love this current system. It is when politicians are losing out, they will all be shouting restructure.
That's the beauty of the restructuring. The constitution we have today, you and I had no input.

But that of the region, even the person in the most rural part of states will have a say.

Every region will decide what it's primary goal is. Is it to continue to enrich politicians or to be focused on development and employment creation.

This decision will determine who earns what and how much of allocation is spent on what.

If the decision is to continue to enrich politicians at the expense of development, then they can increase spending on the government of that region.

If it is for development, then it will reflect on how much office holders earn.

Like I said, when every inflow and outflow is computerized, transparency Will improve.

A region could decide to outsource the anti corruption fight to another country.

When there is a trace of corruption in spending, it will be captured in the system. The public complains and an external body investigates, and prosecute whoever is involved. So no matter how powerful you are, you won't be able to influence the outcome of the investigation. The integrity of the countries handling the anti-corruption cases is at stake .

The politicians are not losing out in this system, it the people that are . Wether they win or not, their children are fine.

That rochas did not get to senate, does not mean his children will ever be poor.

Tinubu has not been in government since, but he gets richer than those who are.

Atiku lost elections, will his children become unemployed?

The over 9 million jobs lost in 4 years, are they politicians children?

The out of school children are they politicians children?
