CrimeRe: Mother & Her Sons Who Run Kidnapping Gang Arrested In Lagos (Photos) by memories1(f): 5:27pm On Sep 09, 2018
Greed for money is truly the root of all evil. A mother that is supposed to guide her children right, is the one empowering them for evil.

Tufia!!!

A disgraceful woman, with her disgraceful sons.

Abomination.

FamilyRe: I Came 5th In Class This Term. Comment As A Nigerian Father by memories1(f): 11:56pm On Sep 08, 2018
I'd specifically go through your results, pick out the ones you had low scores in and try to know the challenges you had. Then I'd proceed to tell you "I'm not happy. You really need to make up for it next term".

Then I'll minimize your fun throughout the holidays that follow.
RomanceRe: We Met In Church: How “No Sex Before Marriage” Destroyed My Marriage by memories1(f): 9:08pm On Sep 08, 2018
Traditional marriage IS marriage. Every other marriage is a borrowed culture. Having a priest present to bless the union then is good enough. For the sake of legal documents, a court marriage can be added. End of.

Thank you for being the Nairaland cop, you did a great job. You're a real super sleuth.

If I am in a romance group, porn group, or dating group, it is really none of your business or anybody else's.
Thank You cheesy
tongue

You came a-hunting for Nigerian women, someone has to be the super sleuth to find out what a fellow Nigerian woman might be potentially getting into.

Happy search anyway, you're sure to get an ample supply of what you seek.

@oilguy73,

So I got curious, checked your profile... noticed you've been dropping numbers on porn groups.

So... is the lack of a Nigerian wife a possible reason for the active interest in porn swapping groups?

As someone has said, a child is not a disease, but hiding the fact? That's a serious character flaw. Can you deal with secrets and possible disappointments later on?

If you can't deal with secrets all your life, ghost her. If possible, just leave town, say nothing. Save yourself from possible backlash if you try to breakup with her.
FamilyRe: Can You Allow Your Child To Practice A Religion Different From Yours? by memories1(f): 10:27pm On Aug 24, 2018
No. Until the child becomes a full grown independent adult, and understands that he/she bears the full consequences of whatever choices they make.

Rest! Rest! Rest!

I wake mine up by 5:15am, so that she'll catch up with the 7:15am set time, stays till almost 4pm before getting home. That goes on for almost 4 months in a term, and when it's holiday, she can't get some rest and play around?

Let the kids rest joor.
FamilyRe: "Stop Congratulating Men For Taking Care Of Their Children " - Lady Argues by memories1(f): 6:14pm On Aug 12, 2018
What is wrong in congratulating a man who shows care and attention to his kids?
What is wrong in praising a man who fends for his offspring? I'm not sure she can even keep a home/marriage with all those arguments in her head.

All these women with a misplaced idea of feminism that will say all manner of negativities just to trend... quite silly.

FamilyPlease I Need A Prepaid Meter (in Port Harcourt) by memories1(op): 9:53pm On Aug 08, 2018
Ok...so I live in this nondescript apartment at Woji, Port Harcourt; where the landlord doesn't bother helping out with issues that come up, it's o.y.o. cry

My apartment is detached from the compound, due to the heinous bills, I don't think anyone pays. The standard bill issued is 30k/month for a self-contained apartment, it's plain ridiculous. When the prepaid meters were going out, I was not in town, and the landlord for whatever reason, decided not to install any for his property.

Now, there's incessant disconnections and illegal connections everywhere. I'm just tired of the hassles. Long story short, I desperately need a prepaid meter at a moderate rate, the staff I tried to get one from told me 25k. I don't have that abeg. I have school fees of almost 100k to pay. cry

Please anyone that can help me with this, reach out to me please, I need it badly to have some peace of mind.

You did well. Stay focused and keep pushing... your parents will come around when they see you working hard to be a better man, they love you dearly and are just worried.

Keep moving forward, you'll make it.

Hmmm...the issue of accepting a child not yours is actually deep than we think...

People have different personalities & ways of viewing life.
...well, some years back, I dated a guy, we both know it wasn't leading to marriage but unfortunately, I became pregnant & he said he'll only marry me if the child is a boy so I simply told him to go to blazes, I rather remain single than marry him...fortunately, I gave birth to a girl. Before I could go back to school, my mom died, I took the child to my dad's sister in the village, within a year, she became unkempt, I brought her back to my elder sister who took care of her even much better than I...now my elder sister has gone abroad to live with her husband...
The nature of my job made it difficult for me to stay in one location & I can't afford a nanny now, so I begged my married younger sisters to accommodate her for me while I support them financially, they all refused because their husband wouldn't accept her...now, I had to quit my job in order to stay home with my daughter.

...my point is this, since there was no earlier agreement to accomodate the child initially before marriage and the man is not comfortable with the idea now, we shouldn't blame him but let the woman pray then choose between the husband & her child to avoid emotional/mental abuse & stress towards the child.

...as for me, everyone knows that my almost 10yrs old beautifully endowed daughter added so much beauty, prestige & value to my life so I'll choose 1001 times over any man...maybe, that's why I'm still single cool cool

As soon as a guy says hi, my first response is: I have a daughter incase you think of marrying me
so are you ready to accept both of us even though she may not bear your surname?
I'd love to meet you someday somehow. You'd make a great friend. My story is somewhat similar to yours(the part of giving up career for your child's welfare). Sometimes I go batshit thinking of how I'm passing over career opportunities because being dependent has it's downsides. Seeing your comment was really encouraging. You go girl!

Arabaribiti001:
Hello and good evening, i just need the witty advise of people here.

my story goes thus, i am a single mom 28 and living in Zamfara, been in several relationships and all but none really worked out well. My crush for settling down and being with just a single person made me seek spiritual consultation with a Prophetess who prayed with me. Being a person who believes much in anything spiritual "I do not mean to say i am spiritual" i made consultations on three guys currently in my life Obinna, Kenneth and Femi "Pseudonym". Obinna is my baby father but i am not ready to settle with him (emotional hurt and all led to our break up), Kenneth is this guy head over heels for me n i love him too, Femi is this yoruba dude who works with an organisation but is too busy for me, atimes i see him just 3times a year and never creates time for us to see, he isn't showing love by frequent calling or any sign that he is really ready and no atom of jealousy comes from him, not even caring to know if anyone asks me out while he is away or if i m still with him. Now, from where i made consultations i was told the first guy "obinna s nt for me, kenneth loves me much but i myt v problem with his parents and Femi is someone i mustn't v a quarrel with."

I ended things with my baby father after this consultation and now have the choice of picking between two persons, Kenneth and Femi. If i decide ending things with Femi, isn't it in violation of what i was told and if i break up with Kenneth wouldn't it be that i betrayed his love and all?.

i really beseech on u guys helping with advise on what i should do n perhaps who you would choose if u were in my shoes and why?

What made me believed her was all she said about me was true and even talked about me having a baby which i never told her about.

Thanks and apologies for the long writeup

You need your own personal enlightenment and conviction when choosing a life partner, God will show you the way if you pray enough about the matter.

These 'spiritual' choices have a way of pushing some people the wrong way, I'm typing this from my personal experience; depending on spiritual counsel for choice of spouse almost ruined my young life and set me on a path I never envisioned for myself.

Open your eyes, open your head, leave your heart for now, love alone isn't enough to sustain a marriage, other factors come into play. Seek God by yourself, you will surely get a personal conviction on whom to settle down with. God bless you.
