You can restrict it to a sector, most especially if the staff is in possession of trade secrets which can be used by the rival company.

Banks don't restrict, but telecommunication and some sectors who thrive on research, technology do.

When Makoju left Lafarge he worked as the CEO of PHCN for about 5, also worked as the special adviser on Energy to the President for 8 years, before he joined the Dangote group
Chief,

Do your research on what you think the telco's do. For instance, former COO of Glo moved from Airtel to GLO.

I sense u r one of them. You just dey hide for hia. U just re read your offer letter to see the restrictions as an MD/CEO abi? .... grin grin
Mind you, some MD's earn N35,000.00 (ONLY) monthly. No be title dey pay person for this life!

emmanuelewumi:
That was why I said things are not well with the former CEO and the parent company.

If the former CEO left voluntarily, he can't pick up an appointment with a rival company.

In the telecommunication sector if a management staff resigns he can't pick up an appointment in a similar company in the country until a period of 5 years...

In most cases whenever they resign, the cross over to the banking, manufacturing, oil and gas etc.

The former company secretary of Lafarge resigned about 2 years ago to become the company secretary of a bank
Restriction is always stated on offer letters, not tied to any sector...

Orders are there but people are scared of raising their prices. Once a small bull shows up, the race will begin again.

Portfolios are green for most who bought during times of low.

I am only looking at next year based on the all time high(ATH) some EMs and advanced markets have made. Some of these markets may start to fall come next year and that could put pressure on other markets (contagion effect).

We shall see how it trades starting from January.

Merry Christmas bro!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and all NSEMPA members.

Come Sun, Come Rain, we must chop serious profit in 2020!

follow what oracle told you, even as there was mass dumping of zenith early this yr when everyone was taking cover and one would have expected it will not rise again but.......... it did 26 naira from depression of 21+ so if you understand the behavior of each banking stocks, You will not bother your head at all.
Unfortunately I don't do follow follow, I do what works for me.

Zenith did about 25% from 21 to 26 (also remember that this was when FY was being expected) whereas the likes of FCMB and Fidelity returned about 50% within same period. Zenith wasn't the only stock that gained in price within that period and it took also 2 months for them to return that meagre 20%!

Those that bought and did 10 to 15% when Access was at 5.6, are they not losing to have sold. Now they must buy back what they sold at N9+
And you singled out Access. Kontinue...

You should also ask how many times they cycled Access and other stocks they have cycled as well using same funds.

I gave up my Zenith at same price I entered and lost the transaction fees (quite painful). Other stocks has made up for the loss and I can equally enter Zenith at a lower price if I decide to.

We will still all chop from Zenith at the appointed time.

I wrote because of Peter o. The guy na case with his funny photos.

The trade deal between US and China is sending world stocks to new highs. Those holding cash in the world (because of the trade war) are seeing that the market will start to go up. So they may likely rush in.

Let's see how it goes.
Let them remember NSE, that's all I want.

We only, can't push the market to anywhere.

This gains of Wednesday/Thursday has given you energy again. Abi? You are forgetting that GMB travelled to Egypt for 2 days and is back on Friday.

Let me see if thunder will strike at the same place twice.

As for Peter the double mouthed mouthpiece of NSEMPA, you really believe that he's in UACN? Peter is like those "runs girl" that only flows with guys that are doing fine, once your cash runs lows, they will deny you like yesterday.

If I remember how Peter denied Jesus in the bible, I then understand why Peterpoor guardians named him Peter.

You're right boss, thanks.....but I didn't base it on what's happening now. Just looking at future/near future benefits. This same UACN sold for N20 and above not too long ago, remember?
Oando also sold for #80 and above.

Anything can happen. Have a plan and follow it.

Fear not dear, whatever the outcome, UACN still stand to reward investors in the near future, even if it's not now.

23M bids against 2.6M offers as at now. smiley
Babe, have your own plan and stick to it. Don't let it be based on the intention of others. Shikena.

After all these years, you don't know that the 23m bids can vanish in a twinkle and vice versa. Don't allow Bid and Offer status deceive or drive you in this market.
