robobo: Its not only Dangote
the Cement Sector in general
Competitive industry analysis wise the Sector is just entering into the same cycle that the Brewery sector is half way gone (though causative factor might differs)
The sector is moving gradually away from being a price giver to a price taker
Efficiency and Muscle wld matter more as we go forward
those in BUA / Wapco shld take note however Dangote situation cld have been worsen by the goverment hell bent on ending loophole in the country tax system (e.g. Pioneer Tax) They all complain of glut but they still wouldn't reduce cost of cement. Alhaji might be dumping this business once the refinery kicks off. |

The CBN is getting desperate in defending the naira... It always start this way and we already know the end result.... Devaluation. Policy somersault as in they will soon reverse this once they realize how stupid it is. Let's keep watching. But FPI's are mean. I swear! |

Mcy56: Think what is happening in the market now is beyond ordinary. Nothing to warrant the dumping. Some forces are at play. May God watch over His children and our investments. We will weather the storm by His grace. Talking about wrong timing for the predictions.... They'll move the prices up after their manipulations. One just need to be at alert with the current trend and trading in the market. I wasn't going to reply anyone but couldn't skip your post. The signs were there and they were glaring. Stocks were loading for long to drop and was waiting to collapse. Julius Berger was graceful enough to confirm the signs for us. I wonder why some of us didn't see this coming. Well, may we all have the strength to weather this storm. Money will still be made whether one is in or out of the market, it will reverse at a point. Even if Zenith gets to 2015 low, it must reverse at a point. NB: Am still 101% out of the market. |
