wanaj0: When you have Obabolujo (sp) making noise you better flee.
While objective is to make money on NSE, preservation of capital is key.
Reading the posts, it is obvious that MANY people are breaking the 'rules' of capital market investing!
Capital Market is meant for 'long term' investment. When you decide to turn it to 'very short term', you need to understand the risk and the consequences. Worse when you target stocks with zero fundamentals. This is compounded when you now allow 'GREED' to take over.
As stated many times, people will pay SCHOOL fees for NSE this year. People are getting carried away by the 'bulls' especially when they don't understand what is driving the prices up! People forget that there is a lot of 'manipulation' going on with some stocks on the NSE. We use to call it pumping and dumping. (where is Pumping biko?)
Most of the charts for technical analysis assumes an efficient market. The NSE is NOT efficient at all. So every easy to be mislead.
There is this story/joke of a lady buying an illiquid stock with zero fundamentals. She was buying from the husband (unknowingly of course) with 5% gain everyday. When she wanted to SELL there was no BUYER. If you will 'gamble', try and gamble with a stock that if the trade moves against you, the stocks can be converted to your LONG TERM holdings.
Except your pocket is very deep, be wary of stocks with poor management, poor corporate governance.
It will be good if people will understand their type of personality (A psychometric test may help). Understanding your risk tolerance is key in developing an investment strategy/plan. Don't buy because someone else is buying. Your pockets and risk appetite are not the same. While the person may be able to accommodate a 50% loss you may not be able to take a 25% loss. Same way, the person may be satisfied with a 10% gain whereas you are looking for 100%
And please NO one can time the market. No one can predict the high and low of any stock. Understanding this may help in people planning their investment strategy.
Happy Investing Chief, as someone many of us listens to, is it possible you call out the proponents of "pumping and dumping" once they make a post? Maybe newbies might be more cautious when the attack comes from you! You have been talking about school fees payment but some didn't quite understand. They still listened to those that claimed to be rooted in insider news (spiritual and physical). |

If the MD of the company no be your personal person, why you go put all your money inside 1 stock?
No matter the analysis you do on the financial and non-financial information that gets publicly released, you can never know 75% of what is happening inside a company.
I've been on social media for too long to actually believe most of the claims on this thread. My own is to read, learn, gather information and laugh.
We will be alright, last last Oya, which part of the divide are you on? The group that's waiting to buy Fidelity at ₦1.50 or the other that's waiting to sell at ₦5.00? |

I am not in the bus, have no single unit and not planning to buy, just an observation from recent price action. Abeg don't quote me oooo. Diamond can run from ₦2.18 up to ₦3.00, I no mind. I was only saying that my family and I are waiting at one junction and it will get there at the appropriate time. I can only change my bus stop after the market must have digested their full year result, right before Q1. |

There are posts I don't bother reading talkless of replying them. They should consider same. |

I guess you couldn't comprehend what unsuccessful stunt means. Re-read my post. Also, you must have assumed that I sold high! You need to put checks and balances on your assumptions. I never said anything about my exist prices. In fact I indirectly made it know that I left before the peak. If you scroll through all my posts, you will know when I sold. You have your own plan, stick to it sir. Like Oracle said, if your plan A and plan B failed you, maybe come up with plan W and keep averaging down. No transfer agression to me Sir. |

pluto09: I don't chase stock and will not advise anyone to do so. However , those who understand TA very well will not mind chasing a moving train.
Yes, those who did not understand the game bought fidelity and transcorp near the 52 week high. You must admit that some actually bought at N1 and N1.40k and sold at N2.80k and N2.20k respectively. They have chopped round 1 clean month and are now waiting for the 2nd round while some are still keeping their money under pillow waiting for the market to crash by fire by force. I doubt there's anybody that's been keeping cash right from when Diamond was trading at ₦1.00 till date. All of us must have jumped in and/or out.... I bought Diamond first at ₦1.10 and then more at ₦1.00 (when the heavy weight were offloading loads). I also bought FCMB between ₦1.01 and ₦1.02. I sold long after the train moved and never looked back. I didnt wait for the peak because nobody knows the peak but you can always disembark when you have made as much as you wished for! Many were banking on vetiva's ₦5.00 target, I didn't care for that. I have had 2 successful and I unsuccessful stunts with both stocks after my first journey with them! On my second missionary journey on DangFlour, I bought at about ₦11.00 and the day I sold at about ₦17, a forum member came out screaming that those that sold, have sold their birth right. That was a classic noise making. What am saying in essence is that most times, these stocks will trend down after picking up and still pick up later. Most of us were telling Tritri he made a mistake when he sold. I strongly believe that the train will get to his bus stop again (provided his bus stop is realistic) and he will board for another journey. |

rationalmind: Men dey wait for Oracle on this one. They will like to see it on #15 after he buys at #27 At the appointed time, Flourmills will come and pick people up at their respective bus stops. It's like a train station that runs in a loop. It will always run around to pick up passengers. Sometimes, it may veer off the loop, return to an earlier bus stop and then continue. Never ever chase a moving train. E dey break head! |

Sometimes ago, I showed my displeasure to the way some people, would only spread propaganda here instead of encouraging others for obvious reasons. And you were aware of that. So for you to now exercise the effrontery to label me this way is not only prejudiced, but also mischievous. Sowing the seed of discord will do no one any good. I deserve an apology from you. I have achieved my aim. I wanted to draw you out Chief. No insult meant in any way. That was a big joke. Apologies if you took it otherwise.
