DeRuggedProf: You are very very very observant.... Gather bids, then 'JANET' them at tail end.... Weakening psychological momentum before charts respond... LOL. There are activities that charts will never ever show you. Take for instance DangSugar suspected breakout.... That was just market makers doing their thing (closure and open prices). Thank God we are now wiser, they no fit job us anymore. |

Chibuking81: Closing sign today, indicate possibility of pull back tomorrow in the Price of FCMB, and if that happen, it will affect the Price of Diamond back. Activities in Diamond practically kept FCMB northwards today. Once profit taking occurs in Diamond, expect others to reverse. But I have been wrong in the past. |

Chibuking81: They will sell to the companies directors that will still wake up tomorrow, who still want to defend their share. Or to those willing to buy at 10 or 5 kobo junction. It will open a new window to jijo group, who know much on how to take such risk.
Hope this will not affect real time online trading sessions, like Morgan capital & CSL stockbroker plat form Hope their site will function effectively tomorrow. Because ups and down drama will happen tomorrow. I have been asking myself same question. Due to the changes, especially "tick size" changes. |

Chibuking81: Retained earning help the company grow, while dividend payment help the shareholders get returns on their investment, and it's the major reason investors invest.
If company keep retaining 100% of their investment over the years without dividend payment, that company need to be question.
What if they keep retaining and something goes wrong with that company, and their value drop drastically? The investor at this point has nothing to fall back on.
In fact NSE, should make rule that will mandate companies to pay at least certain percent of their quoted annual EPS to their shareholders, every year.
Some companies might manipulate their result by declaring fake high EPS. Then tell me what they are retaining, while some will retain, and uses it for their personal business outside that of company own business.
The truth still remains that, what you eat, is only what you gain FCMB is so good at that. I expect them repeating same by the time FY17 comes out. |

RabbiDoracle: In the US, stocks can gain 20% in a single day. Same should be done here too. They should not just be concerned about 50kobo limit. They should lift the part so that people can price stocks based on demand and supply. Free pricing.
And they should also leave the free pricing during bear as well. For this 1k rule to work, they should drastically reduce the minimum number of shares needed for a price change to happen. These stocks will still remain at that 50k range for long unless a corporate entity decides to attack any of them. That will require that entity to commit minimum of N50k (which is invariable a small dough really) daily till it gets to the price they want it to be. |
