well eboneyes, its unfortunate but thats the reality of this world we live in, better looking women tend to be able to attract the best. not saying av looking women cant attract me who are willing to spend on them, but its just based on the laws of nature, you can even see that in mating habits of animals! and yes, i know we are not just animals but instinctively men are attracted to better looking women, and money tends to make men more attractive to women! dont belive me look at jay z and little wayne.! |
wow, if the average person spends nothing less than 100k, how much is the av person earning in lagos/ ? has to be at least double that then, i dont know O! you re probably refering to the elite, not the av person.i mean when i was in nigeria, a friend of mine worked as a teacher and was making just 25k a month, and i consider him average, so what am i missing? |
@ebonyeyes, lolol! just one question, do you have the looks to back that up? if you look like keri hilson, then we re in business, ![]() |
yes i know you meant naira, thats what i was refering to , av woman spending 100k naira a month?? even though i can see it being possible if you have to have a lot of things to make you comfortable in nigeria cos these things do come at a hefty price in nigeria. but i think most people would find these things unnecessary, for example while vacationing in naija for about three months i ran out of things like body wash, lotions, cologne and stuff, and i went to the mart to replace these things and geez, it was like 3x the price there! so while i could afford it since i was only there temporarily, i just dont see it being practical to use all these things on a regular basis , unless of course one earns a couple hundred thousad a month, |
wow, you guys sure love this topic! , well i thank you all for the responses so far ladies, though the lady that wrote $100k, hmm i said average woman, does the average woman in lagos earn 100k a month? mind you the key word here is average, that is av all the coconut sellers, breadhawkers, market women, bankers, etc, you get my drift. |
lets say someone living in Lagos for starters. and btw, its not a girl im keeping in nigeria, besides, im yet to meet a girl in nigeria that would intrigue me enough to move in that direction; especially after all the stuff i ve read on this msg board! lol! |
lol, maybe, , but seriously can you give me some numbers please.thanks |
well, first off, im not talking the typical island woman woman who shops at shoprite, but the av woman who isnt necessarily poverty stricken but is just average. can you guys give me average numbers, was having a discussion with my dad in naija and i live overseas, just wanna shed some light on this subject. thanks. |
sorry for you loss man@ but like others said you were naive in trusting someone you didnt know, i dont live in nigeria, and i was home and sold a couple of iphones, and i definitely wouldnt trust anyone in this our usa sef, not to talk of in NIGERIA! people will try you, you just gotta stand your ground, well sorry once again, but hope you learnt your lesson! dont even trust the pope! |
just curious to know if in nigeria its possible to walk into either mtn or zain offices to request past phone records on your line like in the u.s or u.k? do they keep inventory of mins used, txts and stuff like that? thanks |

texapetteze or whatever ur name is: if you've sold a couple already why cant u mind ur own biz? i'm sure the average buyer has enough sense to ask the right questions when they call me, dont think they need u to think for them you know? i've sold things online in the u.s by posting on msg boards and never had some smartass trying to drop his own opinion in there without really being interested in the product. but here i am trying to introduce some biz to my people and what do i get? nothing but critics. as far as the guy who said the prices are inflated, please tell me in this nigeria of today, what isnt inflated ![]() ?thats just the nature of economics in Nigeria. and to all those interested buyers, i still have a few 16gig phones left if anyone's interested. thank you. |
whats d problem with nigerians ?? why do u have to focus only on the negative?? if ur not interested, dont post! anyone who knows about the iphone knows that apple wont honor the warranty once its unlocked but what YOU in your petite wisdom do not know is that the unlocking software i provide also enables the user to restore the phone back to a locked state before they send it back to apple, geez!! |

In addition to what the first responder said, the u.s car market is competition driven and theres a lot of supply. so naturally the prices would go down because of excess. also u have the variable of depreciation, e.g, a car comes out one year, and by the next yr that car has lost a huge percentage of its value. But i think overall, its the competitive nature of the american economy that makes autos a bit cheaper than most places. hope that helps |
hello seun, i read yur post, and i think its something worth exploring. i am actually thinking of doing something with regards to table tennis in Nigeria more on the equipments sales aspect. i have a manufacturer that can supply nigeria with world class table tennis rubbers, blades, glue, 40mm balls and gear . if ur still interested contact me via email at stigainnova@yahoo.com the name is olu |
price please |
Thanks pampaboy, u hit it the nail on the head. i def. dont want to spend too much money since the car is going to be for sale in niaja. i changed the door on the car so thats all the needs painting. do u think it will be cheaper to match paint it here in the states at like maaco or earl schein? or will it be cheaper to buy the paint and have them do it in naija. i def am not paying nobody 100k for a paintjob in naija! |
hello all, i have an automobile thats on its way to nigeria right now. it has a door that needs to be matched color wise to the other parts of the car. how much would a paintjob like that cost in nigeria? i need a bargaining reference point. p.s the color is burgundy. thanks |
? has to be at least double that then, i dont know O! you re probably refering to the elite, not the av person.
