PoliticsFG Renovates 4,000 Health Centres by mercyefe200(op): 1:02pm On Nov 05, 2019
The Executive Secretary of the National Primary Health Care Developmental Agency, Dr Faisal Shuaib, on Monday said the Federal Government had renovated 4,000 primary health centres to provide health care services for Nigerians.

Speaking during a ceremony to mark the first anniversary of the Technical Support Programme of the NPHCDA in Abuja, Shuaib said Nigerians would have access to quality PHC system by 2030.

He said, “We are very mindful that we are working in a tight fiscal space, so what it means is that we are not expecting that overnight all 10,000 PHC centres will be available.

“Since President Muhammadu Buhari launched the revitalisation of 10,000 PHC centres across the country in Kuchigoro in 2017 about 4,000 PHC centres have been renovated.

“However, there is still the gap that requires electricity, water, commodities and drugs. All these will have to work but we will have to take it in phases.

“Maybe what we all need to agree is that within the first two or three years, at least 50 per cent of Nigerians should be able to access any PHC centre and get essential services.”

Shuaib said the N55bn in the 2019 budget for the Basic Health Care Provision Fund represented one per cent of the Consolidated Revenue and Contributions from donor grants, adding that it was set aside to fund the basic health needs of Nigerians.

He said, “What we have done at the Federal Ministry of Health, the NPHCDA, the National Health Insurance Scheme and the National Centre for Disease Control is to look at the fund in line with the provision of the 2014 Health Act, and say how do we identify one PHC centre per ward that this fund will be directed to in a way that the fund is not kept in Abuja, but are sent to the states and the PHC centres.”

NYSC14 Corps Members To Repeat Service In Ondo by mercyefe200(op): 4:33am On Nov 04, 2019
The Ondo State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mrs Grace Akpabio on Friday disclosed that about 1,313 corps members had completed the one year mandatory service to their fatherland in the state.

The coordinator, however, said 18 of the number were sanctioned for disobeying the rules and regulations of the corps.

She stated this in her farewell address to the 2018 Batch ‘C’ (Stream 2) corps members who were discharged from the national service.

In her message sent through the assistant directors in all the local government areas of the state, Akpabio said out of the corps members that received certificates of national service, three got state honour awards and 15 collected state coordinator’s commendation certificates.

She said, “However, services of four recalcitrant corps members were extended for not measuring up to the required standard at their places of primary assignment and 14 who absconded the service were recommended for remobilisation subject to approval of the Directorate Headquarters, Abuja.”

The NYSC boss urged outgoing corps members to use the training acquired during service to “advance their cause for better today and guaranteed tomorrow.”

She also admonished them to be independent and earn the respect of society and not be burden to their respective families.

“I want you to face tomorrow with zeal and determination to succeed in whatever capacity you may choose to make a decent living. Tap the several opportunities that abound in the country and become the next generation of entrepreneurs and successful business moguls,” Akpabio charged.

CareerNaval College Graduates 18 Military Officers by mercyefe200(op): 4:02am On Nov 04, 2019
EIGHTEEN military officers at the weekend graduated from the Naval Warfare Course 3 of the Nigeria Navy War College, Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The graduands were the third set since the institution’s inception in 2017.

But they were the first batch of graduands from Calabar, where the permanent site of the institution is now located.

At the graduation ceremony held at the Eastern Naval Command headquarters in Calabar, the Minister of Defence, Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi (retd.), represented by the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Abayomi Olonisakin, said: “The nation expects you to be focused on your assigned duties and to justify the huge resources that were committed to your training.

“This can be achieved by employing the knowledge and competencies gained from the college in your future assignments. I am optimistic that your performance in the field would attest to the growing reputation of the college as a centre of excellence for maritime security studies in the sub-region.”

The minister hailed Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas, the college’s board, the commandant, members of Faculty and the workers for the giant strides the college had recorded.

“There is no gainsaying that the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) will continue to support the naval headquarters in meeting the training needs of the college.

“In particular, Mr. President (Muhammadu Buhari) recently assented to the Suppression of Piracy and Other Maritime Offences Bill of 2019. It is expected that this will further support the efficiency of naval operations designed to contain crude oil theft and other illegalities in our maritime domain.”

Cross River State Deputy Governor Ivara Esu, who represented Governor Ben Ayade, thanked the Federal Government for siting the college in the capital town and relocating it last January.

The governor assured that his administration would continue to support the college to achieve its aims and objectives.

The college’s Commandant Rear Admiral A. O. Ayobanjo said the participants passed through written and oral assessments and had been imbued with the capacity to plan and execute warfare in defence of the nation.

Celebrities"Rich Men Use Money To Lure Female Celebrities Out Of Their Marriages” – Actress by mercyefe200(op): 10:39pm On Nov 02, 2019
Anambra State born actress, Chinenye Esther Anakpulu Nze better known, Chezan Nze has said she is not so much of a sex freak and can comfortably stay about 3 – 4 years without Sex.

“As a single lady, wondering how I cope on lonely cold nights? I love my solitude and I cuddle at least 10pillows around me every night. I am not a fan of intimacy gadgets. They don’t work for me at all. Trust me, I can stay for about 3 – 4 years without Sex,” she siad in a recent interview with KFN.

Also speaking on the notion that actresses can’t keep a home because they sleep around, Nze confirmed the assertion, adding that being in the limelight attracts all kinds of men to female stars.

“Yes the truth about it is, being in lime light attracts a lot of men. So many people watch you on TV, read about you and also might have interest in you and are willing to pay the Price to have you. Most of them confused lust for desires. It takes a very intelligent and smart woman to use her fame to yield great income married or not married. Being carried away by money offers will only make you an item for sale for the rest of their lives. I believe you don’t need 100men to give you life time goals. One person God has chosen to make you, can raise you and support your dreams. If Kylie Jenner can use her fame to become the youngest female billionaire. A lot can do that if one knows her worth and gets the right support from whom loves her,” she added.
