I am pleased to announce that I am leaving NAIRALAND FOR GOOD. I don't stay where justice and equality are not reigning. May God punish those that have banned us unjustly.

Though you have left but i know you might be reading this. Nairaland is owned by human being, moderated by human being, humans are fallible , so, quitting is not for the achievers, you don't chicken out. If you were handled unjustly, you should voice out.

I've been duped here bf and I've been doing business here also,but it can't stop me from doing business with people. My clearing agent whom i sent money without seeing, i met him here. The agent that registered my trademark and nafdac registration, i met him here and I've not seen these guys till date. My first car, i bought it on nairaland and i paid without meeting the seller. Funny thing is that, the lady i insisted on seeing before I supply her my goods is the person that duped me.

Life is funny.

I,be always wondered how people avoid getting scammed on this section. I have a banker friend who moves cash for me.... I pay into his account here in the U.S and he pays naira into an account in Naija. This a a friend of mine but he still plays safe, waits till the cash hits his account here before he pays naira into my account.... We've moved a lot of dollars over the past few years. But his rate are fair, but not great. For better rates, I transfer directly from my bank here( Pay only about 45 dollars fee no matter the amount ) to my dorm aaccount in Naija and my bro who is a joint holder withdraws and changes at parallel market rate..... Problem with this is since November the stupid bank peeps have not been able to give him dollars.... Keep saying no dollars... Even when restrictions on cash deposit has been lifted
Now I cannot imagine doing a transaction like i stated above on nairaland.... Who makes the initial deposit first before the other individual reciprocate..... If there is a good answer I have 50 to 100k dollars I wanna change ( depending on rates).... Whoever is interested should let me know

it's very obvious that Alex Otti won the election. looking at the tribunal judgement so far in Abia State, it wouldn't be a surprised to see justice turned upside down.

It's too early to be praising Ikpeazu . Let's give him time and see his true colors. Though I know he will do the job but truth be told, Otti won the election. I see him reclaiming it . I sincerely like what is happening in Abia State, God is still saying something.

Okezie wants to get the heart of Aba residents by rushing this few roads without doing proper feasibility study .
People will see it as a good start but I have my doubts about the quality of those roads . Anybody who knows Aba will know that that drainage is too small for that road. A bad one.


I'm not pessimistic but I don't want this roads to get bad after two years.

Okezie, please if you are reading this, patch all the whole roads in Aba , then pick the ones you can complete in a year, give it to a good construction company like setraco, berger , arab or ccc.

He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. I'm not envious of any body's achievement or success but conscience, justice, fairness and honesty must accompany every anti corruption statements from any public figure, but in all Ben Bruce Statements, I don't see all these.
I personally got to know the Man Ben Bruce when he managed NTA as the Director General. Every staff of NTA knows the single problem that almost all the stations face since the appointment of Ben Bruce till now he is not there, the problem he caused through his corrupt , unprofessional and unpatriotic direct action against the state of Nigeria through its media outfit , NTA.

Ben Bruce approved for the purchase of modern transmitters for many NTA stations but he went to Germany and bought outdated transmitters that the western world has abandoned over 20 years. It was refurbished and delivered to many stations.
These transmitters, when broken down can not be repaired or its parts be sourced from the market because the original manufacturer has forgotten that it existed , it is like reminding them a forgotten label that once existed.
My station face this problem every now and then, we can not get parts the transmitter because the were abandoned by the western world more than 30 years ago.


Ben Bruce bought a modern transmitter with excellent color and audio design for his private TV station.


It's not a secret in NTA about his hypocrisy , corrupt and unpatriotic handling of NTA.


I wase privileged to worked under him at NTA, so, he is no saint and can never be a saint unless he returned those money he approved by himself for the contract supply of old refurbished transmitters.


Fellow Nigerians, is NTA not fit to have those studios and equipment like Silver Bird Studios and equipment?

I was of this view before, but thinking back now at Ekiti and the dicey nature of the Rivers Elections, I fear that Nigerians are probably not ready for a performer. Someone who shares the money seems to be preferred to the man who builds hospitals, schools and other amenities. This election is a referendum for me, between development and underdevelopment, between corruption and non corruption and between us and them, who ever wins, well we will all live with the consequences.

Nigeria is changing. Here in Aba, PDP is sharing money but Abians and its residents have vowed to vote Alex Otti of Apga.

I'm still sceptical of this card reader and this coming election. An adhoc staff told me that on the process of the election, if the staff mistakenly press "communicate with inec" on the screen that the card is done with accreditation that day. What if a particular party decided to line up their members first for accreditation and decided to communicate to inec, that means, the will win the election disenfranchising other voters.

I wish and pray that inec gets it right.
