*Members of NASU and SSANU University of Ibadan attempted to stone Association Leaders with Ice block*

The on going Nasu,Ssanu strike in the university of ibadan has taken a serious tone as members are very angry with the leaders of the association.

They lamented that the leaders have constantly been accepting bribe to boycott all their strike action and return them back to a futile struggle.

It is alleged that the bursa of the university is owing them money paid by the federal government to them and has refused to give it to those who own it.

They have close to 2 and some 3 years arrears which is owed, unpaid promotion arreas, illegal deduction of pension and other benefits meant for the workers, unpaid salaries of the staff sch teachers and many inhuman treatment of the workers by the bursar, Dr. Micheal Alatise and the vice-chancellor, prof. Olayinka Idowu.

Promotional allowance is not given to them as well as they began demoting them so as not to pay them what is required.

In congress today, all members were ready with ice blocks to stone the leaders to death, the anger on them was very very obvious. The requested all gates be on lockdown before they can listen to the leaders.

They came to a very steady and consistent agreement. They will not end the strike until they get alerts on their phones that all which owed has been completely paid.

As a quick response to that, the management paid a month stipend from the money illegally deducted which they had earlier denied.

The bursar of the premier university, the University of Ibadan has told the House of Reps that the auditor supposed to audit the account of the school since 2014 went blind along the line of duty and later died. Yet, his name was on payroll till 2019. This is an allegation against the bursar of the University of Ibadan while addressing the House of Reps.

Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu, the candidate of the National Interest Party, NIP, in the recently held governorship election in Oyo State has given reasons for joining the People’s Democratic Party, PDP. Three days after The Anchor Online exclusively reported that she was calling it quits with the NIP and fusing her BASA political movement with the PDP, Sarumi-Aliyu explained in a statement that “the decision was arrived at after due consultation”.
She said “what we stood for, even in NIP was that Oyo State indigenes deserve the very best in terms of governance. And I am sure many people will agree with me that things can be better than what obtains presently. The conscientious efforts of the Governor-elect, Engineer Seyi Makinde to make things better over the years, even when he was not holding any elective position have proved him to be a honourable, forthright and noble spirited person”.
Continuing, Sarumi-Aliyu, who prides herself as the ‘Jagaban of the masses’ also stated that “I cannot hold in all the good plans I have and I will gladly give them to the Governor. I am drawn to him mainly because of his philanthropic activities and secondly, he didn’t get there through the effort of any godfather, God Himself made it possible. So, he is a good choice”.
Inferring that there might actually be a working relationship between the NIP and the PDP, Mrs. Sarumi-Aliyu pointed out that “our presidential candidate actually stepped down for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. And I must also state that the move is in the interest of the people. I will assist the Governor if given the opportunity so he can serve well”.
Sarumi-Aliyu also thanked the leadership of the NIP at the national and state levels. “I specially appreciate the NIP for giving me the opportunity to fly the flag. The National Exco, led by Mrs. Eunice Atuejide, the Oyo State Chairman, Dare Salawu and the Vice Chairman, Omolara Ajadi. I also thank our party members and all those who voted for me. I am just not sure Nigeria is ready for a new party”

She urged the people of Oyo State not to use the Ajimobi administration’s eight year-rule as a yardstick for measuring the success of the incoming administration. “Four years may not be enough to make the desired change in Oyo State as a lot of work needs to be done. The earlier we start to tackle the challenges facing our dear state, the better. I look forward to living in a robust state that provides ample opportunity for her citizens to thrive”, she concluded.

A young man was caught collecting money from an Automated Teller Machine, ATM, points of one of the new generation banks beside Radio Nigeria, Dugbe, Ibadan machine without using a card.

Radio Nigeria reports that the young man, Azeez Morufu said the incident was not the first time he would be carrying out the nefarious act.
Speaking with Radio Nigeria, Morufu said he has a code he always input on the ATM to dispense without a card.
Morufu Azeez met his Waterloo when a passer-by saw him with a huge amount of money at the machine.
The witness explained that she became suspicious when he noticed the young man in dirty clothes withdrawing huge amount from the ATM.
The suspect has however been handed over the police.

The Director of Communication of the University of Ibadan, Mr Olatunji Oladejo has revealed that the late lecturer, Mr Aminu Othman Subair (The don) sustained no burn during the fire incident that broke out in his department at Phillipson road in the university campus.
He made the revelation to Double A Media following the public misbelieve that the late lecturer, a hausa man committed suicide by setting himself ablaze.
According to him, the campus security unit and fire service unit confirmed that the deceased sustained no burn during their rescue operation on Monday, 1th of April, 2019, and reasons behind his death is still unknown though autopsy is ongoing.
Moreover, the campus fire service responded swiftly to the peoples’ call on the incident, and if not that the whole building of six flats would be burnt but only the deceased’s flat was affected.
It was when the unit quenched the fire that they discovered that the deceased was laying on his bed in his bedroom so evidently, only his parlor was affected by the fire.

Even one of the rescue team did a mouth-to-mouth resuscitation to revive the deceased before he was rushed to the intensive care unit in the University College Hospital at orita-mefa, Ibadan, supported by oxygen in an ambulance.

There it was discovered that he died as a result of the excessive smoke he inhaled while asleep before he eventually died on the following day of the incident.


He, however, rendered his condolence on behalf of the school management to the deceased’s family and friends, and gave kudos to the fire service unit in the campus for the diligent role they played during the rescue operation.

Friend of lady accused of ordering the beating of her husband to death for slapping her, speaksEarlier today, we shared the story of a woman that has been arrested for allegedly sending thugs to beat her husband because he slapped her. A friend of the lady Afy Francisca Okwechima, has taken to Facebook, to give an account of what happened.





According to Francisca, the man had subjected his wife to many years of domestic violence. When she couldn’t take it, she called in her brothers to beat the man up. Sadly he died 10 days later.

Good evening, Mr Ufuoma Bernard I truly sympathise with you. I’m the founder of Afulenu cares foundation and these are the kind of situations we fight for. Its very sad you do not know the true story and all that glitters is not gold. I’m sorry my dearest friend and sister Princess Polachi Vivian , but I have to tell your story, she was 16 when her father died and due to poverty she was forced to marry Odi who was 40 then, she was a baby making machine, started giving birth from 17, Odi would only sleep with her for procreation and never showed her intimacy, he beat her up to stupor some nights she didn’t agree, she suffered from depression which led to her weight gain, she was unhappy and had no one to turn to until she registered herself at the stadium not a gym and not by Odi.

Now working out was the only thing that made her happy, when Odi saw the wife was happy he started his rounds of lies that she was being unfaithful and the beatings increased. Many times my friend will hide until her wounds heal, she will always say he is not perfect but at least he is taking care of the children. My friend endured the beating and domestic violence for 12 years but still kept quiet. Now the sister to Odi who is divorced came to live with them, instead of going to the one bedroom she insisted it’s her brothers house and decided to stay in the living room, princess disagreed and asked her to move to the one bedroom that it won’t be nice when visitors come to visit and see her in the parlour with her belongings so an argument started which led to Odi slapping Princess, as if that was not enough, the sister held princess hands while Odi punched and blew princess in his usual manner, she suffered a wrist and shoulder fracture, I have the report from the hospital and I will post pictures as well.



This beating happened on Saturday the 30th of March, now In 12 years of marriage princess has never retaliated but due to the beating she received, she sent the pictures to her family, the next day which was Sunday, the siblings arrived and wanted to know why Odi has been beating up their sister all these years and Odi asked them all to get out and this led to a confrontation and they all started fighting, the elder brother to my friend princess is younger and stronger so he was able to overpower Odi. Now Odi had some cuts and bruises, I’m not supporting taking laws into your hands but the beating was just to give him a taste of his own medicine, now unfortunately after 10 days Odi died, we couldn’t believe it bcoz the intention was just to beat him up so he won’t touch their sister again.

Now my friend with her broken wrist, shoulder, badly beaten face was arrested but when God is at work, you will suffer tribulations but he will always rescue his own, today I was at the police station after 6 days of her arrest and to God be the glory she has been released because the autopsy showed the real cause of his death, I have first hand information from the police and hospital so please before you defame anyone on social media please know the facts, I don’t support evil but I know many men who have fought their sister’s husband, even their daughter’s husbands for beating them up, domestic violence should not be supported no matter what, this is the whole truth about this case and God will vindicate my friend.
