TrebleChamp:I have just switched off too.... |
Samantha125:He didn't ask. We just felt the need to appreciate his kind gestures. |
I think my wife will share the same sentiment with the lady. I'm currently in Nigeria with my South african Pedi wife, kids and my mother in-law. Yesterday, on our way to Abuja, we boarded a Bolt car ride to take us to the Lagos Airport. Unfortunately for us, my wife gave my 11month old girl her phone to play with but the phone dropped along the way. We didn't notice. We only noticed about three hours after, when we were already in Abuja. To cut the long story short, we got the phone back from the driver. In fact, he had been trying to reach us for hours. We were so happy to get back the phone (even if the S23 phone is still with my family in Lagos). Of course, we gave him some money, though I wish I had given him more. I was so proud of my people. |
HenryWilliams:How about for someone who has driven abroad, but wanna get a Nigerian one for my stay in Nigeria |
It was obvious when we employed him that we would need lots of patience.... it's still obvious. Our players are not used to fast game like this, and have always struggled against players that drive at them with pace. The players must sit up.... The coach is great....players are not. |
MRTA7:Amateurish level. |
afrodoc2:I agree with you. I'm also trying to be very careful, because I don't wanna get burnt again. I also dont see much difference between the two. I'm just hoping he doesn't change his football philosophy las ETH did. I would like to see his in-game management, especially when his team is losing. That's another area where ETH was poor. I just pray he triumph over the many challenges coming ahead. |
metodman:They played some different variations of 3-4-3. They defended with 5 defenders and attacked with 3 attackers, sometimes 4. Even though the defenders were exposed a few times, the system generally made the players looked better than they are, and I think we have lacked that over the years. You would think some of their players are better than what we currently have, but I disagree. Gyökeres was a monster. He reminds me of Vardy, with smart runs and positioning. He seem to be a clinical striker also. Højlund has a lot to learn still. |
Who else is watching Sporting play? |
larride:Definitely brother. I think this is the result of their deafening silence after the meeting they had during the last international break. I'm very happy that ETH is gone....cautiously optimistic about Amorim. |
Here we go!
|
Ellexy:Better late than too late... |
nitrogen:Like yesterday, in fact. |
nitrogen:They had the best opportunity to sack him during the last International break and they did nothing. If they were half-ruthless as they did with non-players, we would probably be in a better situation today. |
I respect Glazers' business sense. By now, everyone would be shouting "Glazersout". No one even remembers them now, yet they still making their money ae background. |
eph12:Absolutely 💯 |
eph12:They sat back in the first half, so we had more possession. It made it look like we played well, but we didn't. Now the Hammers are attacking more and we are not able to deal with them. Our players are playing like they have given up on ETH. |
During his first year, we struggled to score goals....We bought a very young player who was mostly a substitute and who had not scored enough goals to be the main striker for this team. Last season we didn't score enough goals as well, yet ETH thought the best striker he could bring in to sort out the poor goal-scoring issue was to bring in Zirkzee.... WE ARE STILL STRUGGLING TO SCORE GOALS....yet, ETH is still here and same issue still persists. The so-called structure stills need to prove to us that they are the right people for the job. The structure is currently looking worrisome. |
MRTA7:If there's one lesson I have learnt with ETH, don't get too carried away with one game. Many times, we have looked good because our opponents made us look so. Three vital points today though. Kudos to the entire team. |
It looks like the government is overburdening that sector because they don't have the foresight and the ability to develop other sectors in order to generate enough income from them. |
Seems ETH has a rooster clipped somewhere in his office. He just checks who will play next and work on it. Nothing concern him with other things. Hope he leaves today. |
Can we please WIN today and still be able to sack ETH. This season is still salvageable under the right manager. The question, however, is 'who'. I do not want Ruud to be made the interim manager, he's not ready and that would mean giving up on the season as far as I'm concerned. |
afrodoc2:Absolutely. I just wanna believe that they plan to sack him during the next international break. The guy isn't a good manager. We had issues with scoring goals last season and the only person we bought is someone whose main skillset isn't scoring.... I don't understand really. I supported this guy so much.... now I despise him and his excuses |
Thanks to Eledumare and my ancestors for keeping me busy from watching the match. I don't know who is more useless between ETH and those that extended his contract. It was injury crises last year, young inexperienced players this year....6 matches into the season, he already has an excuse. Excuse of a manager! |
bosagro23:Thank you my brother. However, it looks like it's not complete. |
bosagro23:Sir, I'm interested in farming. I would like to contact you, especially because I know that area (Mapoly area). I studied at Mapoly, so I know that area. I basically need to ask you some questions sir. Thanks and regards |
Oasis007:Our gambler-coach will never change. We hope it works. I think he wants another playmaking outlet aside Bruno. I think he's starting to understand that Bruno can not be the only one tasked with that task from the midfield. The bench looks strong though. |
maik99:I have been noticing gambling tendencies in him for a while but some of his decisions have come up as poor gambles to me. As much as I understand that some calculated gambles are necessary to be a great manager, ETH's are always extreme and unnecessary as Afrodoc and you have alluded to. |
odizeey:I would shamlessly call it 'playing Bruno where he's most productive' ![]() |
afrodoc2:No bro. Play him as a supporting striker behind a main striker. Obviously that will need a change of set up, but I think there was a reason he did so well when he first arrived. I must admit he's my favorite player in the current team, so that might cloud my judgment a little. |
patrickmuf:I disagree. The best way to get the best from Bruno is to play him further in attack and make another player do the dirty work Bruno is currently doing. I might be wrong but play Bruno ad a 9.5,bring in a playmaker who could dictate the tempo of the game. That way Bruno would score and assist lots |
Na only ETH understands the style he wan play. Na to specially order for players from God remain. |
