I’m starting to suspect that reaching top 4 wasn’t on the agenda for last season. It feels like the unexpected top 4 achievement has made them confused all of a sudden. The whole saga has made me believe that the management were never prepared for this. They are clueless, uncertain, and unprepared for signing players that are better than the ones we currently have. No one can confidently say what our approach is so far, and I don’t think the management team can explain as well. I understand the decision not to get rinsed over any player, but beyond that, I just don’t understand what they are trying to do. My fear is that they will buy average players during this transfer window which will set us back by some years. Average players… average coach… average management team. At this stage, we might be aiming for 7th position next season. |
I just watched Ederson’s compilation and I must say that I’m not particularly impressed. I think he has the physicality to perform in this league, but his first touch is questionable. This league is very unforgiving and I worry for him. However, I’m hopeful that he will justify the trust the board have in him. |
Jamiuokolaa:Carrick is really doing everything to tell him ‘it’s over’ |
Brunoooo!!!! That ends the season for me, regardless of whatever happens between now and the end of the game. |
I found myself hating on that coconut-head Mbeumo at a point during that match. I hope he improves next season |
DeepSight:Absolutely. I suspect Oshiomole might become a Senate President. He’s very close to Tinubu |
CONFESSION! CONFESSION!! CONFESSION!!! I supported Amorim throughout his time here, and I wasn’t happy when he was sacked. However, Carrick has done exceedingly well, within a short time. He has been able to play to the strength of his players. Sometimes, there’s no need for unnecessary complications, something Amorim was definitely guilty off. Big ups to those who picked that up earlier. Hopefully we will keep the same tempo. |
afrodoc2:He was already tired, and I think it was already brewing from a while ago. I really don’t think they respected or rated him enough from the beginning, but why didn’t they go for someone they respected and rated, to start with ![]() The amount of mistakes or wrong decisions they have made within a short time is concerning. |
@Nitrogen, did your people promise Amorim some signings in January or not 🤣🤣🤣 |
Trevor012:Read my post again. He didn’t do well and that’s for sure. However, we have this thing of blaming the sacked coach/manager for every thing. Already, they have started putting out stories on the things he did wrong during his era. Even Fergie made many questionable mistakes during his time. Personally, I think we must start looking at things holistically. Why are we changing managers every time? Who employed them in the first place? Didn’t they know he has got only one formation from the start? What was the agreement? I don’t wish us bad luck hey, however, I’m almost 100% sure the next manager will suffer same fate. I don’t support Amorim, but I think these INEOS guys are not better than the Glazers. They are making similar mistakes to Glazers. Amorim was never good enough for us, but the Board must also look inwards. They are certainly proving that they don’t know what they are doing. |
Unpopular take from me. I understand Amorim has made many mistakes, including the rants against the board, but I think the board should share the blame. What they have done now is to use him to cover up their own shortcomings. Remember, these were the same people who extended ETH. Only in Manchester United you will see a board doing the bare minimum and acting as if they have done the most. We all knew from the beginning that this guy would struggle with his formation, especially if not backed fully, in a tough league like this. The fact that Amorim was contesting his job role, saying he was a manager and not a Coach, just confirms many things behind the scenes. Admittedly, he did not cover himself with much glory, but it is very very very ridiculous, to say the least, to have left him with that midfield from the start. Everyone knows that the midfield is the powerhouse of the team. Then, there’s a rumour that they refused to support him during the winter transfer window, after promising him. They contributed immensely to his downfall. We on Which sound manager will come in and trust them in the future? For a highly-sought-after set of people, their decision-making have been so abysmal. Good luck to Amorim! |
Jamiuokolaa:He was absolutely right. You can't cure all kinds of sicknesses with the same kind of medicine |
I'm DEFINITELY not watching that match tomorrow. I know I've said this many times and went against my words. I've also been someone that trusted and backed Amorim, but the last match switched off that support and hope. Tactical flexibility is important in this league. Even highly successful managers like Pep are flexible. |
vibrant99:God bless you. I appreciate this |
vibrant99:So, what can that person say at the VFS OFFICE on Monday? I really thought they hold on to your passport until decisions are made. Just to be clear, the person is travelling to another country. |
Hi guys, I trust you are good. So, I have someone going to VFS to submit his application on Monday. However, the person needs to travel soon, and might not be able to submit his passport. What would be your advice? Thank you so much |
Good evening guys, I would like to know about booking for an appointment at VFS for my mom. She would be visiting me for the 4th time, but I'm struggling to get the appointment done online. Please advise. Thanks a lot |
Northern people know how to protect their own, we don’t as Southerners. Wike has his faults, and I don’t really care about him, however, I assume that the Northerners are asking where Wike got the power to challenge them on a Northern soil. If this makes me tribalism, so be it! We are living under the laws of the North while our Southern politicians have sold us for their selfish ambitions. |
The pressure was too much… I knew the goal was coming, was just hoping it would come close to the 90mins mark |
Mrviktor:I also don’t, and I’m scared they would score against us soon the way things are going. |
eph12:To please you guys na problem o. The manager isn’t taking chances like he did recently, where we all went against him. We are on a defensive mode now guys. |
eph12:My brother, this team has no confidence at all. We can only manage games for now. We are already panicking |
eph12:Most managers would have done the same thing till the half time, sir. Case with all the experience should have been smarter. It’s easy to blame the manager, but Case who is supposed to be one of the coaches on the pitch ?We were just supposed to control the game. Mnxxx |
We are still gonna win by a single one margin |
This club don do money rituals o....where we dey find all these money? |
MRTA7:Can't NITROGEN help our board with some money ? |
At this rate, na to just dey check the full-time scores like I did last season. My kids are too young to lose me over a club that will only get serious when it's sold to serious owners. Nigerian politicians are angels compared to the owners we have in this club. Only people winning here are the Glazers... they always win. |
We can just look at it from a positive angle. The expectation now is for the club to do their business early. |
patrickmuf:I have some reservations on Gyokeres. I just hope he proves me wrong |
I respect some of you that are still watching our games religiously. I stopped watching after Amorim's second match, after I realized that he will seriously and urgently need experts in key areas of the team, something we do not have. I hope the owners who employed him are aware of this fact. He needs serious support! BTW, it is now obvious that we were severely played by the Glazer family and their puppet (Jim Ratcliffe). The state of the club is shockingly sad. |
Jamiuokolaa:You are spot on.... That 'gidigbo' kind of style. I hope he's what we need. |
MRTA7: |
