These guys are playing like they are not been coached. The imprint of the manager is evidently lacking. Either the players are playing badly for him to be sacked or he's clueless. We can't have average players and clueless manager.

The boy lost it a long time ago and I think that was when his development got stunted. He hasn't improved in years. He's talented, no doubt.... but he's not developing, especially with his one-way kind of play.

They are bidding their time. They are still gonna spend. Our players are not good enough. Dalot, AWB, Maguire, Lindelof, Mount, Mcsauce, Rashford, Anthony, Martial and many others are either not good enough or very very inconsistent.

The ones that MIGHT be good are not ready yet. Only a team like United will buy a 20year old player to spearhead their attack when their other striker (Martial) is useless.

We are in a bad situation and there's no way this team can be overhauled in 3years with Glazers still being around. Very Very Very few managers can perform magic with this team...in fact I don't think they are up to 5. We need to be very strategic this time around. Admittedly, ETH has added more mumu players who will be difficult to move on... not to talk about the ones we have always had.

ETH takes the blame.

I'm not absolving ETH in all these, Patrick. However, the current structure of the club doesn't in any way help any manager. I'm not a Prophet of doom but based on the events of the past years, I don't think the next manager will succeed if the structure isn't changed prior to him being appointed. I just think we have been trying same things for years, it's time we do things differently.

I do not have a problem with sacking ETH.... But Arnold and Moutough must go first. Let a new DOF decide on our next manager. They can't try to absolve themselves by appointing another who they are still gonna sack. ETH might be a problem currently but he's not the main problem.

What's happening with the process of identifying talents, for example. I am 100% sure some of the players we bought were because of the media, fans etc. Most people were desperately putting out posts about Anthony, Onana, Amrabat etc. I think the only player most didn't agree on was Mount. The club wanted Poch but went for ETH cos of the media and fans. All these show me that we do not have football people running the club. It's so obvious that they do not really know what they are doing. They are simply learning on the job but without direction.

It was always gonna be difficult for ETH to perform here. He was always working in well-structured clubs and was always surrounded by people that would even say no to his requests, by going out for better players. When he arrived, he was allowed to do whatever he liked cos they wanted him to automatically bring his achievements here without considering the context. That's why we can not absolve him from the faults too. However. I know he will get a well-run club and will perform well. Currently he's like a fish outside it's natural habitat (water)... our water is complex and unnatural.


We need a change from the top!

He definitely wasted money. So who do you think we should get to manage this team? For me, Arnold and the DOF guy should leave before ETH. I still have soft spot for the manager but I admit he's struggling right now. However, I don't trust the current management team to identify a great manager.

How can a whole team lose form this easy. I think he has lost the dressing room. It's a shame that he might be sacked and this useless players will still remain. They will play well for like 8-10 matches for the next manager, fooling him in the process, only to start playing nonsense.

I am not making excuses for ETH but assuming he started implementing any style of play from day one, he would have been sacked by now because he would not have won any trophy and fans want the trophy fast .

I think I'm sitting on the fence in terms of believing in him and otherwise. However I still think he deserves till the end of the season even though I'm frustrated too. I stopped watching after the second goal cos I knew there was no way back. In fact i couldn't see how we would score a goal.

Personally, I would have taken an unambiguous style of play to anything we achieved last season. It's my belief that a clear system would have covered up for some of the players we are angry with now. It's a systemic sport and I think that's the reason why some of our players played/looked better in their former teams. Players look outstanding in their former teams but once we buy them, they become awful. That says a lot about us and our managers.

We DESPERATELY need a world-class and effective DOF with sound strategic knowledge about football. That position isn't just an administrative role.

What I have learnt from our situation is that playing style is VERY important right from the first season that the manager is hired.... It's more important than gaining all these little and temporal achievements.

Patience is also important. I wouldn't sack ETH till the end of this season.

It may not be this bad but we weren't good for majority of last season. We had a Rashford that picked form and we managed to keep it tight at the back while Rashford scored at the other end. When he lost the form, we struggled and almost lost top 4.

Remember DDG won the golden glove? We didn't score a lot but we also managed to keep it tight at the back for majority of the games

I agree with everything you said. Most teams were generally poor last season. The manager has switched back to the formation of last season and we are still poor. Something has to give at this rate.

Teams are not scared to play against us anymore. Sheffield now plays like prime Barcelona.

It means that I got my suspicion right. Nigerian government under diffrent leadership always claim to have improved electricity supply during this period on a yearly basis but I noticed that it is always a lie. Just as you have clearly and smartly explained, it is just an improvement that is effected by the weather. It has never had anything to do with successive government doing anything with regards to the electricity issue in that country.

It's just shameful the way they claim this temporal improvement.
