I would wait to see how Bruno will perform in a better system. This system is horrible and I can assure you that there's an excuse already- Mount isn't playing.

I have noticed that when we try buy a particular player and we are not able to get him, we go for a completely different kind if player. That really should tell the club something about ETH...Rigid, one-dimensional, with limited knowledge.

I would sack ETH right after this match to send a string message. They made a huge mistake not sacking him. They allowed the excuses and performance to cloud their judgment. Says a lot about them as well.

Not everything is the coach's fault. This is not PlayStation. Casemiro is loose with his passes and is loose with his touches. He often dawdles on the ball and has little to no awareness of opponents coming to close him down from behind him.

The system can be shyte but some players can be shyte as well.

There's still a big hole in that midfield like last season, and for an old man like Case, it might be a problem. Even Mainoo is struggling

I understand, but I think this system is exposing players rather than complimenting them. Sometimes it might seem like ETH doesn't know how he wants to build his team or what he needs to build the team.

100% true. We most times buy players who are used to a certain system to play a different style, hoping for a similar outcome. An example of that was Sancho. Based on what I have seen so far, I would think Zirkzee would be better in away matches where we need to play false. However, he doesn't seem to be a workaholic who could cover areas like ETH would have wanted.

I still believe we are winning this game. However, I have my reservations about our attack line.

He's also still getting used to the players. He looks like a player that need a proper 9 in front of him

I was surprised how well we played against Brighton to be honest cos we normally look like a league one side against them. But with impotent attackers scoring becomes rocket science

Our first half performance was good, bar those two wingers. I can't really blame Amad, he did what he could based on his capabilities. Based on how ETH wants to play, I think the wingers must be fast, dynamic, explosive and intelligent. I don't think our wingers have those qualities in them.

Also, I see the reason why he doesn't like taking out Bruno cos he's the livewire of that team. When he's poor, it affects the team... and yet we haven't found a younger player that can play that role well enough. I'm not a coach though but it doesn't seem to me that he knows his priorities. Or we have too many dunce in that team... yet, it does seem like we are replacing average players with more average players.

The main reason I said we cannot challenge for the league earlier this week is I look at our attackers and none of them is top class. The best we have are prospects that we hope can come good(Hojlund Amad Garnacho)
Yet we keep deceiving ourselves here everyday

Our attackers are half lethal and we win both Fulham and Brighton today comfortably

100% my thoughts and you couldn't have said it better. It's exactly why players like Rashford and Martial were given crazy contracts.... few good games, they are 'rewarded'. It just seems like the club as a whole is suffering from low self-esteem... I know it's a crazy thought but I think it's true. We should do better.

Our attack is light-weight for me. One of the problems we have in this club is that we get carried away by occasional individual brilliance and then view average players as world-class.

We might not concede a lot this season but we may not score enough. Many winnable games like this may turn to a draw or loss

It's difficult to argue. ETH keeps making same mistakes and expecting different outcomes. He learns so slow as well.

There's only ONE person that makes things happen in that team and serves as the connector- Bruno. You took him out and brought in someone whose role is not defined apart from making late runs into the opposition's box.

ETH MUST GO. He doesn't learn at all.

Whoever says Ugarte is all we need to perform well this definitely not seeing right. I'm definitely not satisfied with those wingers we have... and we don't have a striker as well. Amad is a squad player at best.... Let's not talk about Rashford at all, yet he starts.

ETH's sold this match with that substitution. How he views the game is questionable sometimes. Bruno should have stayed... the midfield collapsed right after the substitution. The person he brought in can never do the job

Yes. That is what i suspect is going to happen. We need a new LB desperately. We should go into the season with the assumption that both Shaw and Malacia are not in the squad.

I believe Licha is a very good player and he's one of my favorite players. However, I don't see him as being a good LB, especially for the way we want to play. I hope I'm wrong and he actually do a good job there when called upon

Absolutely surprising. However, I find it disturbing that many of our fans are still canvassing for AWB to be kept. It somehow confirms my notion that we (fans) are part of the problems we have in this club. On one hand, they want AWB who offers absolutely nothing going forward, while on the other hand, they complain that we are not scoring enough. Most top teams are now attacking even with their FBs.....watching AWB attack is an eyesore for me, and it never shows we are serious as a team. This Player united should stop...no player is bigger than the team!

My prayer is that a team buys AWB...I really don't like his play at all, regardless of the match being a pre-season match. He's also not the smartest chap.

Amrabat gives us a better structure in midfield because of the TYPE of midfielder he is. The problem is that he is a low-quality version of that type of midfielder. We need someone like him at CDM but with much better quality.

I agree with you 100%. Amrabat isn't good enough.

Is this not the same Ambrabat many of our supporters were criticizing ETH for not playing. He had two 'okay' performances and our people quickly jumped on that wagon. Some were already saying he must be bought permanently. Sometimes I think we, the fans, are part of the problems.
