Eraytee: You need a well explained SOP to savage this, then using a third party sponsor in ur case is a bit dicey to me cox, lots might be raised by the VO as to why a friend would want to commit such financial burden. I think you need to come up with the idea of working with a prospective establishment on ur return to naija, let ur sop focus on the need of this degree because of the demand from ur prospective employers.Sh You just have to come up with what is beyond d common i'll com back to naija after study, u need to let the VO see why u need this course at d moment. I'll prefer u getting a family sponsor rather than just a friend. Just my opinion cox the way it would play out in your application. A family sponsor can still come up with tangible reasons as to y he/she is sponsoring u. God bless you Eraytee! My research showed the program is offered at PGC and PGD level by canadian universities, didnt see anyone offering it masters level. Is it safe to bank on that while trying to defend the PGD i opted for despite my CGPA? @bolded, I got that right but do i need to mention any establishment in the SOP and how i know such course will be needed by the said establishment? |

amnotapervert: with that CGPA you need to go for a masters program do not waste your time and money for PGD I had similar experience 2015/2016 the VO will need reasons why you want a PGD not a masters program and that is a long thing....
and for the time frame its just ok as long as you can explain what you have been doing with evidence Thanks for your response. Based on my research, no university offers the program at masters level, only PGC and PGD. Can this convince the VO, please? Thanks. |

Metropolitan: House, I graduated in 2008 with 4.11 cgpa (Business Admin). I have been teaching Commerce and Business Studies in secondary schools since after my NYSC programme in 2010 till date. Now, i got admitted by NBCC to be sponsored by a friend to study Business Analysis (PGD), which is in line with my undergraduate course. Please, what are my chances with regards to TRV approval considering the time lag between when i graduated and now, with unrelated work experience. And will the PGD fly in the eyes of the VOs? Can a good SOP do the magic? The gurus in the house, please help me x-ray my TRV approval odds.

feguson123: experience may not count much expect d gap from wen u finish undergraduate and now is preety much, but if ur pgc is inline with ur undergraduate course you are good to go Thanks, its actually in line with my undergraduate course of study and is even stated as part of the requirements that applicant must be a graduate of business Administration (which i am ) or have 2 years of related work experience. My problem is that the gap between when i finished my degree program and now is pretty wide with totally unrelated work experience. Just hope it will not be an issue with VOs. |

Austinpee4: 1.There is always a time duration for an individual application to be completed. You application will be considered complete when you send in all required documentation. If the schools says transcripts first, you should follow the instruction. Wait till it you fulfill that requirement.
2. You should further discuss with your school, they could still give you an unofficial copy. And yes, transcripts is a requirement for a study permit application as required by the visa office for nigerian applicants.
3.It shouldn't be late. However, CIC encourages applicants to send in their application early incase there are unforseen delays that may occur during the processing.
4.Your major challenge is to substantiate with evidence why you are going for your propose program. Be it little or no experience, What you have been doing in that field prior to your application will determine your chance. Also, If the time you finished your undergrad(in that field or related) till now isn't lengthy, You can as well, convience a VO that the program is right for you.
Like it's often pointing out here, we MUST choose prospective programs that will further add to your current or most recent situation(work experience or study). Anything other than this will be questionable as a ploy to leave the country and will most definitely lead to a refusal on purpose of visit. Eg. You can't finish Geology in 2009/2010 and have been working in the bank from then till now and then decide to go for a PGD/PGC in geology or related field.
No amount of spoken word, Vocabulary, Heavenly gifted writting skills or good command of the english language SOP will convience a VO that naija never tire you! The refusal reason will just face the visa officer in broad day light. We must always choose rightly!
This is just a case senario and not particularly about your case.
All the best to you. You killed it bro! it can't be answered better! you understood me totally and gave the best shot. This is what i wanted to hear....weldone and God bless you Bro! Please i will still need you in no distant time. Thanks. |

penitential: Oga, am beginning to get confuse. What is soft copy and what is hard copy? If you can get the soft copy, why not print it out to make it the hard copy; unless if there's something else meant by that You can't even see the said soft copy cause it will be sent directly to your school of choice. All you do is submit their email addy and it will be forwarded to them. I need the student copy but my school will never give you, thats the problem! |

Please house, i am in the process of completing my application to NBCC to study Information Technology: Business Analysis (PGD) through the online route. Now my questions: (1) Can i submit my application first and later send the transcript (soft copy) to them even when it's stated transcript first before submission of application, any implications cause my university is slowing things down. (2) Anybody with a trick to help me get the hard copy of my transcript because my university does not give out student copy, and will i need it in TRV application process? (2) Will it be late if i start my TRV application process in May for September intake? (3) How do i go about the experience thing cause i dont have experience in that field but i meet all other requirements. Please guys your quick response is awaited!!! Thanks. Make una help me answer these questions na! |
