It depends on your inner drive. Try to enroll in professional courses, get a masters ( very possible), get a PhD. Never stop climbing. You have even better edge cos of the zeal in you to rise above expectations. Supposed failure can be a strong motivation. I have seen many people succeed despite starting with a 2.2. I am a living testimony.
Cheers. |

Biety: Nonsense, why must the reporter add the name of the church?
Why attaching the name of a whole church to the sin of one person who probably might not even be a true member of Rccg he claimed to be. The church is so big that anyone can claim to be its member/ deacon. Also, why did EFCC not tell us the names of mosques, churches and religion of looters it caught in the past?
May God almighty punish anyone satan is using against the church of God. Evil must be exposed wherever it is hiding. |

FitnessDoc: Seriously it is not the business of the government and yet we have Npower which employs over 200,000 graduates, wasn't that job creation.. The private sector can never thrive unless, there is some big things standing... In America you have Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart, Exxon and so many others, these big companies are the reasons why America's private sector is still thriving today..
Where are the big guns in Nigeria? I totally agree with you on this. Npower has been a powerful move by the government but not to sound pessimistic, what happens when power changes hands? As the case has always been, new administration, new programs. They come up with new initiatives and kill the ones of previous administration. It becomes more of a political interest thing. What is wrong with building on existing programs. That is one major reason the public sector has never been really successful. |

FitnessDoc: I am very impressed that Miss Nigeria does not feel the suffering of her own people when it comes to poverty and unemployment, but focuses on climate change..
I have never heard of any of her open letters to the Nigerian government
Here is my message
Let me say this to you all on nairaland.. Creating entrepreneurs will not and never save Nigeria's economy or create more jobs for the people.. You see everyone claiming that they have the passion, that they have the skill and they want to become entrepreneurs because Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gate made them believe they would..
Friends, let me tell you Bill Gates and Mark Zuck's ideas were enhanced by a favourable economy and that is what we need... To create employment for the people we need to stop believing the lies like Npower and start protesting for real jobs (Npower ends in 2 years time you know).... Just look at some companies in American and how many people they employ
Apple - 75,000 Microsoft - 114,000 Google - 61,000 Facebook - 17,000 Berkshire Hathaway - 367,700 General Electric - 301,000 Walmart - 2.3 million people (This company employs 1.4 million in the United States alone) Amazon - 341,000
That is almost 4 million people employed by just 8 companies and one of these companies Walmart employs over 1.4 million people in just one country alone.. that is 1.4 million jobs created by just one company.
Imagine if government start building STEEL COMPANIES, FACTORIES FOR PRODUCTION, REFINING COMPANIES, BIG AGRIC FARMS, instead of giving us fertilizers loans to go and do it ourselves..
Imagine if the government passes a law that any foreign company that wants to do business in Nigeria, must have one of its assembling plants or operating factories here in Nigeria and 40% of the employees must be Nigerians..
Imagine such... There would be so much jobs... With at least 2 large farms in every state (owned and run by the government possibly) employing over 5,000 people each... That 360,000 jobs in 36 states with more jobs being created through distribution and exporting of the products... I reckon tens of thousands more jobs..
Just Imagine.. Don't let all you hear about Entrepreneurship fool you.. As long as the economy is bad, entrepreneurship will face more problems and it will be harder for those with real dreams to make real impact..
We can do sometime by sharing this idea with the government.. We can do something by speaking up to them about this instead of blaming them.. Let us make an effort so that we can eat good food, have security and sleep at night..
it is for our own good..
Let us speak it on every thread and post it on our social media handles, with the #Nigeriamustchange
I remain Paul Samuel FitnessDoctor, your favorite health blogger It is not really the business of the government to build and create these jobs. They just have to create the right enabling environment which includes favorable policies, security and public goods for the private sector to thrive. the public sector especially in Nigeria may not do so great running these businesses. Public private partnerships that is public sector enabled and private sector led. |

bryand: You know, the thing about intellectual youths of this generation is that they never make any move to change their lives they love to check google for answers and ask those who are as helpless as they are. They love to celebrate people like Dangote, Mark Zuckeberg and the likes, But they are not willing to do an inch of what these people have done. They are ignorant of the fact that the principles of success is all the same, Dangote at some point had to do some messed up stuff to get to where he is Today, you see the glory but you do not know the story. They have taken pride in their so called qualifications that cannot fetch them a dime in their pocket, They have a sharp brain and a dull pocket. Those of you speaking trash of what you do not know about should sit tight where you are with your chicken change which you think they want to scam you of which you do not even have; just as Dangot built a business and is now employing graduates (first class, masters & PHD holders) that is how these GNLD people which you insult will one day employ you in their office to count their money for them, since that is what you prefer. Mtcheewww!! Maybe I misunderstand what you are trying to say but some people prefer more sustainable jobs. The kind of job you want for yourself should be by choice and not by being tricked. The GNLD people should not hide behind false names just to lure people to their centers. If you are GNLD, state in the message you are GNLG. people suffer for lack of proper information. Imagine thinking you have been selected for a dream job only to find out it is some pyramid stuff. No harm was done asking people here for help and if he still decides it is what he wants, good luck to him. try not to insult people.rather provide them with solutions and encouragement. FYI, I got the invite too and I thought it was funny. |

mikolo80: experimental farms hit 9 tonnes. You just need fertilizer or chickenshit or even bullshit I know rice yields could be high...but can they do what it takes. We see these things in research and all. Even outside Africa. Another thing to consider is they are working with outgrowers with tendency to divert inputs to other commodities. If they achieve this, it is a step to transformation of the sector. |
