A woman has committed suicide on Livestream after the sudden death of her girlfriend.

Giovanni Doll a.k.a. GigiBaby and Jay Dor were a lesbian couple from Detroit. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, Giovanni died in her sleep from health complications related to cancer.

Friends took to Facebook to mourn Giovanni. One of them was Mrz Lawson. She spoke about Giovanni in glowing terms.


But Jay Dor couldn’t bear the loss of her girlfriend so she became suicidal and began posting suicide hints on Facebook.


Jay Dor didn’t get the help she needed and she committed suicide by jumping off a bridge. She recorded her suicide on Livestream.


Just before jumping to her death, she asked people to forgive her and said she already promised her lover she was going to be with her.

A yet-to-be-identified lady was found dead underneath a hotel bed in Owerri the capital of Imo State.

Eyewitnesses claimed the incident occurred last weekend at a popular hotel along World Bank Road in Owerri, and a cleaner reportedly found the corpse. It was further learnt that identifying the girl has been quite difficult, as the killer who is also yet to be identified fled with her belongings including her clothes and underwear.

The Imo State Police Command is reportedly investigating the incident suspected to be a case of ritual killing.

A final year student of University of Nigeria, Nsukka was on Wednesday, stabbed to death by a fellow student over non-payment of electricity bill at Alfred’s Lodge, an off-campus residence where he lived.

The student identified as Mbah Chuks Stephen, who had less than two months to graduate from the Department of Public Administration and Local Government (PALG), got into a fight with his lodge president simply identified as Asogwa Nnamdi, popularly called Tiny over issues around payment of electricity bill.

Nnamdi, a second year student of the Department of Combined Arts (English/Theatre and Film studies) was said to have disconnected the deceased’s electricity line following his alleged refusal to pay a fine of N200 as agreed by the residents of the lodge.

Helen Okereke, a resident of the lodge described the incident as “unusual, unexpected and a brief moment of anger,” which ended up destroying a lot of things, adding that the deceased first attacked the Nnamdi with a stone which prompted the retaliatory attack.

Another resident, Unwana Ekere who witnessed the incident disclosed to Sunnewsonline that as Nnamdi went to the deceased’s room to collect the agreed sum, the deceased refused to pay and requested that his electricity be reconnected immediately and upon refusal by Nnamdi, a scuffle started and he was stabbed.

He was later rushed to Bishop Shanahan Hospital by his younger brother and some other residents of the lodge where he was confirmed dead.

Daniel Sunday, another resident who narrated the incident, said that the whole issue started last month when EEDC brought electricity bill to them which they paid only for them to be told afterwards that the bill they cleared was only that of those living in the first series of the lodge (downstairs) and not for the whole lodge.



The lodge president then called for a meeting where they all agreed to pay a sum of N1,000 to clear their debts.

Meanwhile, there hadn’t been power supply in the community (Odenigwe) for quite some time but last week, power was restored in the community, but their lodge’s power supply was not restored. Since it was only their building that was affected, they decided to contribute N200 each to pay someone who would reconnect theirs and this was what triggered the fight.



When the lodge president got to the deceased’s room to collect their own contribution after power was restored, the deceased’s response that he had no money to pay infuriated the lodge president who threatened to disconnect his line.

Daniel added that the two people involved were not enemies before then and described the incident as unintentional. He said it all resulted to anger which later turned sour.

“We don’t know the whereabouts of Nnamdi but we know he followed the deceased to the hospital as he himself also sustained injuries. We got the news of his death on Thursday morning from his girlfriend and it’s still a shock to us that he is dead. A little misunderstanding led to an unforgettable incident,” he said.

The deceased’s classmate who pleaded anonymity also confirmed the incident adding that Stephen’s body was deposited at Bishop Shanahan mortuary, Nsukka while the guy who stabbed him was in police net.

He said that the death of Stephen came as a shock to them; it left both students and lecturers in tears as he was a very peaceful and intelligent fellow with a CGPA of 4.8.

Spokesperson of the Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amarizu, who confirmed the incident, said the state Commissioner of Police, Suleiman Balarabe, has directed a full-scale investigation, just as the suspect is helping the operatives in their investigations.

The dead body of the deceased has been deposited in a nearby hospital mortuary.

Meanwhile, friends of the late have taken to social media to mourn his death.

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has told those accusing him of being too combative as the National Chairman of a governing party to keep their cool as he was not about to change his approach because he did not join politics to be changed by the way things are done by politicians.

Oshiomhole said his long stay in Labour taught him to be combative, stressing that he did not join politics to be changed or commit class suicide, but to impose his own ways of doing things.

He also said he was of the view that diplomacy will not address the challenges facing the country, adding that only an aggressive engagement can force those benefiting from the status-quo to change in such a way that will make the country better.

Oshiomhole said: “whatever I am doing today, my style and choice of what I do and what I abstain from doing, I owe to Labour. If you study the Nigerian media, there is this saying that as national chairman of a governing party, I am not supposed to be combative. I am even more convinced now about the need for combat.

“If this country is going to change and deliver to the poor, deliver decent jobs, we need not diplomacy, but aggressive engagement to force those who are benefiting from the status quo to change and in such a way that will make the country to work for the people who live on their wages.

“Some people said to me that I am too combative and I said to them that I was not coming to copy their method, but coming to impose my method to change the system and not for the system to change me. I refuse to be changed by the system. My hope is that with more comrades coming into politics, we will work together to change the system for a better future.

“I am very proud of my background, as a factory hand, as a factory organiser, as a General Secretary of Textile Workers and as President of NLC. Some people said I have I cross over and I ask, to where? I just continue with the struggle. I move from conveying my grievances with placards and organising strikes with protest and pressure, to trying my hands on the drivers wheel, to try to do those things that I try to communicate with placards and then use executive pen to get them done.”

A dancing 26-year-old Nigerian cleaner identified as Lucky Etinosa Aivinhenyor, stole hearts on the internet after his video went viral.

The video was shared on Twitter by a road user in Abu Dhabi and it already has over 13,000 likes and 4,000 retweets. The Edo-born cleaner has only been in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for four months and was vibing to Burna Boy’s music when he was filmed unknowingly.

“Back home in Nigeria it’s very difficult. My father died when I was 3 years old, so I had to work hard to support my family,” said Lucky who is single and the second youngest of eight children.

“Back home job opportunities are very few and it is difficult to find work, so I just feel fortunate to be working for my family.

“I’ve only been in the UAE four months but I’m so excited to be at work that I just dance. I’m always happy whatever I do.

“Anything you do, you have to give thanks,” said the street cleaner who gets two Fridays off a month and earns under Dh1,500.



“I wasn’t planning to do this work, my experience is in computers, but I’m sincerely happy in any work I do. I enjoy living in the UAE and being here never makes me feel bad. It’s much better here than where I come from.”


On his newfound fame, the cleaner employed by the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre Tadweer told Gulf News;


: “I’ve got no choice but to be happy and continue praying for the favour of God. If he wants to favour me he will and with this I believe he has favoured me.

“I was so surprised to see it went viral, a lot of people contacted me to say I have good vibes and rhythm, and I’m delighted by all the comments. My family haven’t seen it yet but I’m sure they will be proud.”

A Selfless woman has been praised after she took it upon herself to donate her kidney to her ex-husband, 5 years after their Divorce.

The woman, Kelly Hope is 43 years while her ex-husband Dan Pyatt is 44 Years-old and they fell in love with each other when they were 18 and got married 14 years later, and that’s around 2007.

Less than a year after their marriage, Dan Pyatt fell seriously ill with an aggressive type of kidney disease, and around September 2017 he was told by medics that his kidney function had fallen to just 8% and thereafter he was put on dialysis. He was also put on a Deceased donor waiting list.

The ex-couple divorced around 2012 due to some unresolved incompatibility issues but they both still got a thing deep down for each other. Even after their divorce, they remained friends and visit each other sometimes.

Dan Pyatt was on the waiting list for up to 12 months but got no donor and when his ex-wife Kelly heard about it, she decided to donate her kidney to him. Kelly told Dan about her intention but he declined the favour and asked her not to worry about it, but she was determined as she went ahead to donate her kidney to him.

According to Kelly, she could remember telling her ex-husband as thus; “I’m going to get tested for a transplant.”, and then “He said to me, ‘I can’t ask you to do that’. But I told him, ‘It’s not up to you. It’s my decision. I know what the risks are and I’m doing it.’


“Even though we weren’t together any more, I wasn’t prepared to let my children be without a father.”

When asked about why they got divorced at initial, she replied as thus;

“We had different priorities, life pressures, work patterns. I was a PA at the time and Dan was a taxi driver so we were like ships in the night. We didn’t just walk away, but in the end, we realised we couldn’t keep going around in circles.

“It was making the atmosphere at home horrible. It wasn’t healthy for the children, so we both decided it would be best to separate.”

After Kelly Offered to donate her kidney, tests were run on her and the doctor found out that her blood and that of Dan Pyatt weren’t a match, and so they concluded to do a blood-incompatible transplant which involves removing antibodies from the blood to prevent rejection.

The transplant went successful and Dan Pyatt was discharged 5 days later.

Shedding more light on why she offered the favour, Kelly said as thus; “To me, I was giving a kidney to the father of my children and the best friend I’ve had since I was 11. We might not be married now, but we’re still very much a family and I had to make that sacrifice to keep our family together.”

Speaking about Kelly’s selflessness, Dan Pyatt was quoted as saying; “It was truly a selfless act, to put your own life on the line to help someone else is amazing. Kelly will always be my hero.”

Kaduna State Governor has pledged to sponsor the Education of an Almajiri boy who instead of begging for alms like his counterparts do, decided to make a living from shining shoes.

The 13-year-old Usman, who’s an Almajiri from Maiduguri, said he ventured into the business of Shoe shining because he doesn’t like begging; and that he’s out of school because he doesn’t have a sponsor.

Usman’s story was posted by a Twitter user with username @el_bonga, and from there the Governor read about him.

El Bonga’s twitter post goes as thus; This is 13-year-old Usman, an Almajiri boy from Maiduguri. Because he doesn’t like to beg, he learnt how to shine and repair shoes from his brother where he earns an average of N500 a day. When I asked him about school, he said: “even if I want to school, no one will sponsor me.”

Governor El-Rufai reacted to the post and described the boy as “industrious”. His reply goes as thus;

“Where is this industrious boy? How old is he? Kindly bring him to me in Kaduna. I will sponsor him to attend a boarding primary school and upon completion until he graduates from university by the Grace of God.”
