A New York family was going through their normal daily routine when they discovered an alligator swimming in their private pool.

The father, Joe Baron who resides in Bayport, Long Island, said he was going through his normal daily routine of checking-out the pool’s filler before going to bed around 7:30 p.m. when he noticed a Baby Alligator swimming in the pool; probably escaping the heat.

When Joe Baron discovered the Alligator, he called on his kids and they managed to pull the alligator out with a pool skimmer, thereafter, they placed it in a fish tank.

Joe Baron was quoted saying; “At this point, I’m just stunned. A frog you get once in a blue moon, but an alligator, not in a million years,”

“Then he jumps from the filter and starts swimming all around the pool!”

Joe Baron also revealed that they are trying to pick a cool name for the baby-alligator which they now regard as a pet. He was quoted saying; “The kids are coming up with all different names: Chomp Chomp, Titan, Rex – they couldn’t decide, that was a big conversation last night,”

Baron also revealed that he intends handing over the alligator to his brother-in-law who works with the country’s’ Center for Science Teaching and Learning.

RIP to the Dead

A combined team effort by Plateau State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the Nigerian Red Cross and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), recovered 12 Bodies from the collapsed residential building in Plateau State Capital, Jos.

The joint-team recovered 12 bodies from the collapsed building on Monday.

The team discovered six bodies on Tuesday Morning which includes the owner of the collapsed three-story building, Alhaji Kabiru Nalele, he's popularly known as ‘Sariki’ (King) within the environ.

According to reports, the owner of the Building was on his regular routine visit to the apartment when the building collapsed killing him, his two wives and nine others.

We also gathered that the ground floor of the collapsed three-story building was used as shops, while the remaining two-storey was used as residential, and the ground floor had a pharmaceutical story which deals on the retail and wholesale sale of drugs.

The Director of the Search and Rescue, Mrs Junni Bala, said;

“The two-storey building located at Butcher Line, Dilimi in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State fell at about 6pm local time trapping many.

“Rescuers recovered four corpses on Monday night from the rubble before discovering six others on Tuesday. Four other people were critically injured in the disaster”

A Facebook User named ‘David Chibuoso Dennis’ posted about it on his Profile, and According to him it was found while the Water Cleansing agency was on duty at the River MINI-EZI in Abuja .

David also noted that the picture was found inside a Shinap Bottle alongside a #10 Naira note.

A Video showing a snake climbing through the wall of a Home was shared by a Texas woman recently. After the snake climbed through the home, it rang the door-bell with its face.

The security camera at the residence showed that the snaked climbed through the house and used its face to ring the bell at around 1 Am.

"We checked our Ring, and it was a snake," homeowner Belinda Muniz told the press. "You just never expect a snake to ring your doorbell."

She also noted that the video should serve as a warning because without the CCTV Camera which they checked before opening the door, she wouldn't have known it was a snake who rang the door-bell. She would have just gone straight to open the door.

Expiry dates are dates noted in a product, especially consumable ones. Expiry dates are always found alongside Production Date of a product and it’s noted down by the producer to let the consumers know the date in which that particular product is not to be consumed further.

An American man named Scott Nash doesn’t agree with the fact that goods are actually not good to be consumed after the expiry date written by the manufacturer, and he wanted to prove it, so he took it upon himself and ate Expired products for complete 1 Year.

Scott Nash got the idea to start the experiment when he ate an Expired Yoghurt, which was expired six months past and got no bad symptoms or reaction.

Scott Nash is a “staunch environmentalist” and owns a grocery store in DC Area named MOM’s Organic Market. Scott forgot a yoghurt in his old Cabin in Virginia for a very long time and returned a few months to find it in there, it was chilled so he drank it. According to him, it didn’t taste funny and he never felt anything strange after consuming it, neither did he got any health problems or issue afterwards. So, that got him thinking of what essence the Expiry dates written on Products are and how long it really takes a product to be finally unfit for consumption.

This got us at Yugo Magazine asking these questions; what does the Expiry Dates on Products really mean? Does it mean that expiry dates don’t really matter?

After conducting the experiment, Scott Nash said; “The Food Product Dating system for food (and non-edible goods) needs to be revised. Consistency in labelling (use one term for quality such as ‘best by’ or ‘for best quality, use by’ and another term for food safety such as ‘expires by’) would create clarity. And these dates need to be set to match reality. Some items don’t need a date at all – like salt, canned goods, and baby wipes.”

Scott Nash was determined to continue his research, so he and his family began eating foods that have been expired for about 8 months, 1 year, 7 Months and even Nine Months past its specified expiry date.

At a point, Scott Nash had to cook with butter that became mouldy after it expired long ago. He just scraped off the mould and cooked a meal with it, everyone felt fine after eating it.

Scott Nash said that there are better ways to find out if a product is really expired instead of checking the expiry dates of the products. If A Product looks funny, smells or even taste’s funny; awfully different from the original taste, then it’s definitely not good for your consumption and not just by mare looking at the expiry date.

We just came across this Video-Story posted by a lady on Instagram.

According to the Lady, she bought a Rat poison and kept it in her drawer without opening it and probably forgot about it. She checked the drawer 2 days later and discovered that the Poison has been eaten by a Rat and the pack Torn, the rat also pooed in the pack and scattered the torn parts of the Poison-Pack over the place.

Governor Wike said no Part Of Rivers can be used for Ruga Settlement.

According to Governor Wike, all Rivers States can offer is that the Federal Government is allowed to lay pipes from the Bonny Ocean to the far north to provide water for the herdsmen.

Governor Wike also noted that Lands in Rivers State are for Commercial agriculture.

Governor wike assured that no part of the state would be given to herdsmen when he received the founder and president of Throne-Room Trust Ministries, Apostle Nuhu Kure, at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

Governor Wike also noted that Rivers State won't participate in any programme meant for the Herdsmen, no matter the name given to it by the Federal Government.

“If they want water for the cattle, they can lay pipes from the Bonny Ocean to the far north for their cattle, that is what we can contribute. We don’t have lands for any settlement scheme, our land is for commercial agriculture,” he said.

Ruga settlement is a rural settlement in which animal farmers/herders stay in a designated place provided with basic amenities such as schools, hospitals, road networks, veterinary clinics, markets and others. However, the initiative has elicited nationwide controversy.
