when you said its not ideal for those with low jamb score..what should happen to those with poor jamb score due to error ....the screening should have been 50/50 to provide equal playground

I completed my admission screening today for Direct entry but I observed something that has kept me thinking.. my utme score reads 0/400. while the olevel result reads 46.9% and the total reads 46.9%.. I'm confused.. yes! I applied through direct entry but why is my utme result gnored..

I learnt UTME takes 70per ,seems fair to me.I pray UI uses the same method.

NORMAL WAEC PRINT OUT

OAU ask student to pay a sum of 6850, no physical appearance, and once u input your jamb data and o'level result, your final score is calculated, the only thing you will wait for after screening is the cut off mark for your course.

Do you think that is right.

For me, is not ideal cos a lot of candidate will be disadvantaged "those that don't have good grades in their O'level result"

For instance:


today i registered for two people

the first gal scored 235 chose medicine buh her o'level, most of her grade is c4, c5 nd c6...........wen she registered her total score was 55.7%

the other guy scored 219 chose maths buh his o'level grade is A1, (2) B3, B2 nd c4.overall was 58.1%

so let say OAU released course cutoff as
Medicine: 60%
Maths: 50%

it certain the first girl is out, not becus she didn't pass buh her course cutoff drops her

Going by the checking of JAMB admission posting, i can tell that many candidates have been able to ascertain their posting status while many are still yet to see theirs.

There could be reasons for this which nobody can tell yet,.

The essence of this thread is for candidates who have seen their postings to share their details; e.g the school you've been posted, your UTME score, your course of choice and the course you have been provisionally admitted to study.

This will help determine if there's a specific pattern or criterion being used by JAMB in posting candidates to schools and equally help solve the puzzle why some have been posted and while others are yet to be posted.

Please note this thread is strictly for those who have seen their postings. If you are yet to see yours, please visit the checking portal regularly to check if it has been updated.

Please if you have checked your name on the jamb portal and you are not posted yet, don't panic, because according to Jamb the only thing that can stop a candidate that has attained the national cut off point from being admitted is his or her ssce results or does not have a complete documents (credentials).

All candidates will be posted accordingly, either to his/her most preferred or preferred but everyone will be posted.

Candidates with awaiting results shouldn't bother because all schools are directed not to deny them admission until their results is released and their eligibility confirmed.

If you have been posted, you are advised to get all your credentials ready and always visit your school website regularly to know your screening dates.

We will always post any updates from school concerning admission screening.

Before 30th July the final list will be uploaded on the jamb portal and every one will be posted. But until then get all your credentials ready.
