It really depends on individual circumstances. In my case for instance, I earn much much mire than my wife. So we calculated the total amount required for the month and i transfer to a joint account monthly. she manages this account. The story would have been different if we earned about the same or if I was unable to meet the financial commitments. |
edogu: After my service in 2011, i investd my little savings on poultry farm project 2gethr wit d seed money dt my dad gav 2 me. 4 d first stock (abt 170 birds), i started wit, i broke even, 4 d second stock abt 200 birds, i lost all d stocks. My failur wil not deter me cos i ve learnt my lessons which re: get a good stock, ensure d envir is neat, timely vaccination, feed dm 4 8 wks n disposed dm as quickly as possibl. My advice 2 nairaland reading dis thread is dis 'let where u re 2day b better dan wher u re yesterday'. Above all, God shld be ur driver.Love your drive. |
parki: That's what you get from acquiring Liabilities as possessions. Liabilities are in no way good. Instead of them to enrich you, they zap and drain you.I used to think like you, and I was investing everything I had and as a result denying myself the little luxuries, then the stock market and general economy tanked. I look back at the people I used to laugh at cos they were not investing and realize that a couple of them are still richer than me. So I would say invest but find time to enjoy the money |
ihope the authorities can support this action with cogent reason for the withdrawal. did they not pass through aggressive tests before being re issued their license? many airlines the world over do unfortunately have accidents, the key action is to try to identify the cause and ensure that measures are put to prevent a re ccurence. just yesterday I watched a documentary on the crash of a British airways aircraft just a couple of years ago, fault was accumulation of ice in the fueling system. this has been rectified on all boeing 777's. I hope this decision was not made purely on emotions. |
chei, FG just gave US embassy a warning to stop criticizing it. crazy sturves |
biolabee: keep dreaming brololz! buzz u at end of season |
red bull for top spot. don't give up on Lewis, his car will not disappoint like last season |
dilly dallying president. he should have stuck to his guns and say due process should be followed. how can you lead a country whose major problem is corruption, then claim to be fighting corruption and show so much reluctance to pursue corrupt people? he has been accused, has been running away from defending himself and all you say is that you will not order his sack or at least ask that he is thoroughly investigated. he is either on the 'take' or is terribly scared of those behind the scam. |
abuadam1978: i wonder why you people are tribalistic and sentimist allthe the time you come and create confusion in our peaceful land and you are abusing us also these killings is sponsored by CAN so as to coused confusion in muslim land we know and we are aware but all the time you blame hausa/muslims infact we dont have anything like polio in the north it was created to couse problem to spread infertility and hiv to muslim childrenthis has got to be one of the dumbest things I have read in recent times. smh since you know it's CAN, pls come out with evidence. since you have concluded your thorough investigations. brownlord: Nonsence, let them bring out the donors of this project if u find any female among them, mk she talk wetin she do for those men before them sponsor this project, am a servin call member and i knw what am talking about, am presently servin in one of the local govt. In osun, in the whole of this LGA no good place to eat, except some useless buka where u be served, one nonsence soup with 2 cups of stew, u cant find anywhere to eat jollof/fried rice or other varieties thereby making it difficult for non yourubas to cope even the place is close to their state capital, i told a girl of my intention to try a little restaurant or fast food joint and she told me not to bother, that she a batch B, tried a laundering service, after several warnings from one person doin same bizness, shes been battling wit health issue since she commenced, another girl told me of one ibo woman who opened a restaurant and a while some restaurant owner gang up and they told her is she love her life she shld flee from the community so make them park well, all the big project for nysc scheme na only girls dey always execute am, shebi na dem dedicate to the programme pass abi?let's let's work on the assumption that she slept with the donors, don't you think she could have deided to use the money to buy herself a car, or other luxury items? she instead embarked upon the project for Corp members to utilise after she would have left the state. That to me is worthy of commendation, irrespective of how she got the money. as long as she did not steal or defraud someone. |
if you feel so badly about the situation then start working to field your desired candidate for the next elections. start now, it's not too early. |
I think I studied it because my parents and uncles were all engineers, and funny enough I actually graduated at the top of my class. however upon graduation the jobs I kept getting were not engineering related. so hence the deviation, it wasn't really a choice to deviate. but looking back now at what my friends do in engineering, I don't miss it. I just guess that I have a preference for jobs of a commercial nature, selling, finance etc. not to say that engineering is not also a very good profession oh |
studied Electrical Engineering, but not worked as an engineer for about 9 years, find it awfully boring. |
fitzkenny: I stand to be corrected. Kaduna boys were never pleased with a christian governor in Kaduna State. Kaduna boys are those who are sympathetic with BH. They either schooled in Barewa College, ABU or live and have their homes there. The Mutalabs, Maigoros,Gumis of this worldgoodness me, how do you dream up these things? |
did this poster just wake up from a coma? |
manny4life: Show me one bank NOW IN NIGERIA, that isn't involved in one shady deal or the other under SLS watch? Even Access bank if I'm correct was involved in a dirty deal with Mr. Cosmas Maduka and Ifeanyi Uba. Abeg, let's leave all that shady matter, even in the U.S., it common norm, you can never weed out shady deals in banks. manny4life: so from above I take it you support shady deals in banks? I hope you don't ever complain about our politicians being corrupt |
telecoms I guess |
hopelessly selfish bunch. how can you as a sitting leader begin to even consider such expenditure. the same vp who has people living in abject poverty in his hometown with no access to anything good from the government. power really does corrupt absolutely. |
scantee, enough with the stories. don't know what you aim to achieve to be honest? |
which would you prefer; a man who abhors corruption and fights it to the end or a person who claims to be as holy as the disciples and is cleaning out the treasury? Just wondering. |
well I do understand that the doctors would like to defend their colleagues. acceptable. but what would you expect me to conclude, I had a condition over a period of almost two years, In all I saw 13 separate doctors, including a prof in Luth. some were quick to tell me they had no idea what my problem was, however some others kept on prescribing all sorts of drugs including high doses of cotecosteroids ( forgive me if the spelling is wrong). one of them told me I was getting better by just looking at me with no tests even when I told him that the symptoms were getting worse. another told me that I was cured and had psychological issues : imagining that I was still ill. others were prescribing pain killers, without attacking the cause. fed up with everything I went abroad, within a week I was diagnosed with cancer, the tumor was massive. to cut a long story short, I am now on the path of recovery after agressive treatment by the powers of GOD. I shudder at the thought of what would have happened if I had continued with the Nigerian doctors. in all, I understand that we cannot generalize but seriously what do you want someone like me to think? |
seriously what does it matter what her age is? she says she is 32 take it like that instead of worrying your brains cos I don't see what difference it would make if she is 32 or 82. in addition, marriage is personal, so I don't think we shouldn't be drumming it in all the time. my respects to her for doing something really great for herself. Happy Birthday Linda. |
Everything he touches changes to salt. And how can you be shouting publicly about your disloyal staff? Who made them disloyal? |
Looks like a bureau de change set up. Are we really sure it's a politicians stash? |
^ explanation above makes a lot of sense Denzel |
yamakuza: you are correct. If you waste time while typing the numbers, you'll sometimes get INVALID TOKEN.I doubt that's the way the token works, I am in south Africa and use the token. How does the gtb server know when I have pressed my token. It does not transmit any signal. So actually in principle, if he writes the codes down and uses them in the sequence they appeared then it should work. |
The CU guys built the battery and not the car. |
@Siena When it comes to cars, I respect your superior authority. And will agree with anything you say. I guess my point is that from my own experience, the same way I cared or my Japanese carsis sesame way I cared for my German cars but found that the German cars gave me more trouble. So yes, I agree the suspect is e mechanics. Those guys are ca wreckers. All inqll though, I must confess that the German cars were much more pleasurable |
where is this car located? |
if you are a car enthusiast then i think the german cars will tickle your fancy. for me, i just need a car for mobility and over the years i have used both japanese and german cars. if like me you just need mobility just stick with the japanese cars as those german machines will give you high blood pressure. our mechanics are not up to scratch, their parts are too expensive and they seem to break down too foten. just talking from my own experience |
Based on the analysis given with respect to GDP and the state of our country, it would be fair to say Graduates should start earning at about 80k. However, due to the very high levels of corruption, we have people with access to easy cash pushing the price of living through the roof. Take for example, if we all earned reasonable allowances and graduates start off earning 80K and everyone else earned reasonable staggered salaries, then nobody should be able to afford a plot of land for N50 Million naira. The cost of living would be within range but with the current realities, 80K wont take an emoloyee anywhere really! |
