When I served in rivers state we (corpers) were all made to learn the indigenous languages (kalabari, ikwere, Ogoni etc) in camp despite Rivers being a cosmopolitan state like Lagos.
Disrespect is when you fail to honour the people you meet in a place and also trying to impose your will on them.
