When you speak in tongues, no man understands you, but you are speaking mysteries in the spirit.

When you speak in tongues, it is your spirit that is talking to God directly, your don't understand what you are speaking.

Also kindly read 1 Corinthians 14:27, 28 for instructions to those who claim to speak in unknown tongues.

Those are examples. I said "likely fake, in my opinion". I may be wrong. But my personal experience is much different.
Discerning of spirits is a spiritual gift not all of us would have. I really wouldn't care if it's real or fake. Speaking in tongues doesn't mean you're praying better or more gifted. But if the person is trying to minister with it via interpretation, then "by their fruits you shall know them".
I'm not a pastor, so I can't comment on whether to have church standards or not.
I've answered your last question with 3 scriptural references in previous comments - YES. And I also challenged you to prove otherwise with at least 2 references. But I don't want us to go on circles.

So from your response, you cannot actually know if a person is faking speaking in tongues or not....
So why are you bothered if people say that the speaking in tongues by churches today is fake Since you cannot even know the true one. The bible clearly states in Acts 2:4, 11 that the gift of speaking In tongues made the disciples to speak the native tongues of people that was understandable. And those who spoke in unknown tongues were accompanied by those who can translate.
So if I see someone who is speaking in tongues I don't understand without a translator, would you blame me for saying he is fake since I do not understand what he is saying?

Almost every Sunday, people go to church to worship God. Many go prepared and properly dressed. In some of these churches, there are exciting and nice activities that keep members excited, but even with the excitements, God is not really there.

Signs You are Attending a Dead or Dying Church.

(2) If seductive and indecent dressing is highly tolerated, and some of the guys in church department plait hair.

(3) If members are ashamed to hold bible (physical bible) on the road while going to church.

(4) If comedians are coming to the pulpit to jest and tell lies to make people laugh.

(5) If such church makes you live comfortably in sin, while using grace message to make you feel alright even in sin.

(6) If prayers for repentance, consecration, fruits of the spirit, sanctification, purification, character development is put aside, while prayers for vision, prosperity, impact, taking territories, getting visa, going to the next levels, goals, purpose etc is emphasized more.

(7) If such church makes you have no thought or little awareness of the coming of Christ.

Are we saying that till now we cannot mention the true church by name? Why are we always focused on the false church?

Read Acts 2 vs 38, you will discover that once you repent and your sins being remitted, you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, which is the Holy Ghost baptism with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

You too can experience it. If you are truly born again and without sin in your life, go ahead in sincerity and with all your heart and ask God to baptize you with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. He will give it to you, and you will experience it yourself.

That there fake does not mean there is no original

In acts chapter 2:4, 11, Did the disciples not speak in different tongues by the Holy Spirit about God to people in their native tongues that they could understand, why are people not practicing that today?

This is the point I believe the OP was trying to make. I totally agree. But to say the gift doesn't exist today, or that the two must go together is what I'm disputing here - you failed to establish that scripturally as well.
In my first comment that you quoted, I was affirming the existence of the gift, with a personal example. And I also mentioned I never use it unless I'm praying all alone (if prompted).
I also indicated that many of what you hear in church are likely fake (my opinion) - random "regegegege" and "bragagagaga". But I've also heard ones that are genuine, which sound (to me) like well articulated languages/sentences if you listen closely, even if you don't know the language. And that is also my personal testimony, which has full scriptural foundation.

So do people still speak in tongues genuinely? YES
Do (many) people fake it? YES
Must you speak in tongues? NO
Should people do it in church without interpretation? NO.
This is the summary of everything I've said.

So how would you differentiate the real from the fake?
What standard do you use?
How do you know that the "regegegege" and "bragagagaga" is fake?
Should there not be a church standard to determine which person's unknown tongues is true and fake?

Are you saying that the person who has the gift of speaking In tongues can be unable to speak in the native tongues of people?

Oga how come you don't want to have anything to do with the verse that says there is one mediator?
I guess it's because it doesn't fit with your doctrine.
I am sure you avoid that verse because it exposes your false believes.
Unlike you, I am comfortable with every verse in the bible. I don't need to erase any verse and to insist on false translations to push forth a believe system.

The one you showed me too did not say Jesus is the mediator in that verse.....show me the one that says so. You want me to believe the translators are wrong without any translations to show the contradiction. You are the only one with your idea.

Any translation that says you have more than one mediator is false.

Lol....the same translation you are using says nothing about Jesus being the mediator of that verse....kindly point out a translation that mention Jesus as the mediator through whom the law was given.
