Hello everyone,

I tried reading from the start, but please I couldn’t understand it properly.

My dad (almost 70) was written a few months again if he would still want to migrate and that a visa number was available.

1. Please what’s next?

2. Will I be able to go with him (I am just below 30)

3. How long will it take?

4. What’s the process??

5. I might be out of the country for a few years, studying, will that affect it and do I as his son need to go for the interview (in Nigeria)?

6. They sent the physical letter to his old address and it’s all the way in Lagos. How do we change the address please?

PLEASE everyone. If these can be answered, I’ll be extremely grateful.

God bless.

Hi everyone,

For those worried about the correspondence letter, it took a while for mine to come. It will definitely come.

For flights, I had an offer of just over 300k on Lufthansa, I don’t know if it’s still available but you can confirm.

Ethiopian airline isn’t bad.

For those that have other visas like the UK, you can fly there and then move on; it’s cheaper.

Seemingly long post.

I’ll start by thanking God for all Be’s done. It was ALL Him.

Thanks to you guys as well, you’ve been great!!

Ps. I met @phocusjosh at the VFS office, really nice lad!

So I’ll break down the timeframe and what I submitted to maybe encourage or inform TRV hopefuls (you’ll definitely get it soon)

Timeline.

Applied - May 7th
Biometrics - May 8th
Medical call - June 7th
Passport request - June 27th

What I submitted.

1. Letter of Acceptance

2. Passport

3. SOA with about 13 million

4. Pension statement

5. Letter from employer

6. Letter of explanation - about 4 pages

7. One landed property

8. Police report

9. Upfront Medical

10. Letter showing partial scholarship from the university

11. Document showing change of name

12. Evidence of refusal of UK visa (I now have it)

13. Transcript and university degree certificate

Ps I have some travel history and visas (Uk, Tanzania)

I think that was all. I’ll add if I remember anymore.

Please contact me if anything.

Thanks.

With all these online applications that are showing new message alerts but really have none, I hope it’s fixed soon. My prayer is that by the end of the month this weekend, there’s an update.

@Frankrobbn1 and other gurus in the house please I need your advise/contributions.

I was recently refused study permit on the ground of 'purpose of visit'. The VO is not convinced that I will leave Canada after my study.

Profile:
School: CPAWSB Alberta Province

Fees: I did not pay a din as it is stated on my acceptance letter that I must a study/work permit before I can register for the program and enroll for courses.

Previous Study: Graduate in Accounting and presently in the final stage of ICAN. Also i have 4yrs work experience in Accounting/Auditing.

Sponsor: Elder brother who provided 7 months bank statement of N25m closing balance. Though the VO did not tick insufficient fund as one of the reasons for denial(The only reason for denial is purpose of visit and am very sure that in my gcms note the VO must question why I want to take such professional program program in Canada at a high cost when I can take similar program here in Nigeria.)
Also, I plan to state in my next application that my elder brother does not have child yet(dependant).

Questions:
1. ICAN syllabus list Canada CPA as one of the professional bodies that can get direct membership with CPA designation. Pls can I print and attach this page in my next application to show that I will return to Nigeria to barge ACA designation with CPA designation?

2. Can I also include evidence of rental income that my wife and kid would use to sustain themselves while I am away? Can that boost my eligibility chances 'Purpose of visit'?

3. My online status already shows that I passed medical test, completed biometrics and background checks completed also that I failed eligible review.
In my next application, am I still expected to do another medical and biometrics? Also, will the next VO concentrate only on my eligibility review or start over from the beginning? I asked because I plan to present more proofs/points that I am eligible to study for Canadian CPA program and return to Nigeria after my studies.

PLS NOTE THAT I HAVE REQUESTED FOR MY GCMS NOTES... JUST WANT TO PREPARE AHEAD WHILE WAITING FOR THE NOTE.

PLEASE I NEED YOUR ADVISE/CONTRIBUTIONS GURUS/EXPERIENCED APPLICANTS ESPECIALLY ON HOW TO CONVINCE THE VO IN MY NEXT APPLICATION THAT I AM ELIGIBLE TO SCHOOL IN CANADA AND WOULD RETURN TO NAIJA AFTER MY STUDIES.

THANK YOU.

Sorry about the refusal.

Firstly, when did you apply?

I was honestly going to leave out my own SOA. I’d take this as the lord speaking. Lol

Someone mentioned to me that Digital SOA are not signed and stamped and so are not accepted for Visa application. How true is this?

I intend to use the digital copy instead of the hard paper copy as my account is very busy. I’m sure my 1 year Statement account won’t have less than 1,000 transactions (I don’t know how many pages that will be and how I’d compress it into a legible scan).

Many thanks.

You can use 4 months.

Please make sure it’s stamped by the bank.

Hello everyone,

It’s been checking eligibility and doing the background check for over 2 weeks now.

I don’t really understand anymore.

Also, it’s been showing I have a new message since the 7th of June. I’ve read the messages but it won’t disappear.

And I’ve already passed Medicals.

Please I need more answers to this. And why haven’t they gotten back to me since then.

Hello everyone, do you think $32k in an account is enough for a sponsor to have for someone doing an undergraduate program?

I believe this depends on the school in question, cost of tuition, accommodation and other necessities.

They’re quite confusing. After doing Medicals and passing, we must now wait.

Will the eligibility and background change from we are currently reviewing?

I reckon they’ll be back up in another 30 minutes or so.

Just go to the medical centre you previously did your medical with the receipt of payments and medical form. I believe they will resend your medical results again. You have to pay again but not up to what you paid initially, Children practice at Ikoyi will collect half of what you paid previously. All the best

Thank you!

Did this happen to you or someone you know?

Also, how long did it take before they got their TRV?

Have u emailed them to complain?

I have not.

The funny thing about my application is that it kind of mandated the upfront Medicals.

I’m thinking of just redoing it with the form they sent. Just to avoid mixups.

Good morning team,

I haven’t posted in a while. I submitted with upfront Medicals, but yesterday I was asked to do Medicals again.

Please why could this be happening? The hospital claims the fault is not from them and i’d have to pay again.

Thanks for helping.

Hello Team,

Please where is the list of hopefuls?

Also, I have a daughter ( I am single) but I included her details but also put her address as the UK because that is where she stays.

Hope that is not an issue?
